Arizona is home to a lot of things that can pack a punch. From little scorpions that hide under rocks, to rattlesnakes that only warn you moments before they strike! Arizona residents understand that danger always lurks, but are they ready for what lies ahead? Just around the corner, coming with the warmer winds of March is a creature few can survive. It has previously been spotted in the coves of Miami, in the Red Rocks of Colorado, and now it is making its way to the deserts of Chandler, Arizona. Get ready for Cyclops Desert, a Cyclops Army invasion led by the one and only, Subtronics!
On March 7th and 8th, Cyclops Desert will be a full-blown takeover from some of the most iconic bass producers in the industry. Basstipper and Mersiv will push the subwoofers to their absolute max. Desert sands will be dancing to the drums of Hedex and Alleycvt. Each night, those left standing in the aftermath will face the cyclops himself, Subtronics.
For the unprepared, there is still time to ease into the mayhem that is sure to come. Try starting with the transcendent sounds of a new track from Mersiv called “Looking Inward“. Maybe speed it up with Smoakland’s “Liquid Smoke V“, a new drum and bass mix that will take away the pains of a morning commute or fuel a late-night workout. Whether you’re prepared or not, the army is approaching, and you won’t want to miss it.
The critters and creatures who dare will collect in the legendary Wild West atmosphere of Rawhide. If you think you are brave enough to handle both days, secure a full weekend pass here. Individual passes for both Friday and Saturday can also be purchased separately. Hotel packages are also available for all who will make the trip into the dangers of Cyclops Desert. Keep up with everything Subtronics is doing by using the links below.
If there is one thing we can say about SLANDER this past weekend, it’s that we felt their drops in our heart and soul. The evening commenced with opening act Redline, who set the tone for the night. Following them were two back-to-back performances from VCTRE and COPYCATT, as well as Moody Good and Chee. Each drop didn’t just rattle the speakers—they coursed through our bodies, vibrating our chests and bones. Kai Wachi took the stage and delivered one of the most explosive sets we have ever seen in our lives. While playing his hit song, “Hollow“, he had every person in the venue screaming along at the top of their lungs (me included.)

Something we noticed early on in the night was the lights set-up on either side of the stage. With anticipation eating away, we could only assume we were in for some heavy-level production—And we were not disappointed! Slicing through the darkness were two walls on either side that pushed out perfect, synchronized laser beams into the crowd. They reached across the entire space and presented visuals from another dimension.
A consistent factor throughout the night was the overall sense of community. I met so many new and inviting people and felt everyone living in the moment like the old days. I could feel myself growing more comfortable and present as the night went on in direct response. A favorite moment of mine was when they slowed it down to play the acoustic version of “Love Is Gone” ft. Dylan Matthew. The duo truly sets the bar when it comes to production and engagement for a show!

Svdden Death is always worth an honorable mention. Taking the stage following the heavy set from Space Laces B2B Eptic, he brought the boys out to end his set with some MASTERHAND action. Many fans stated that Masterhand was a personal favorite, creating a dark, immersive atmosphere while blending their signature heavy beats and high-octane energy. Whether playing hard-hitting originals or surprising fans with remixes, their performance captivated those looking for a truly intense, genre-defying experience. 10 out of 10 every time!
3. ARMNHMR
ARMNHMR‘s performance was one of the standout sets from the night. Featuring seamless transitions between different musical styles that kept the energy high throughout the performance, they provided a fresh and exciting experience for long-time fans and newcomers alike. The duo reinforced its reputation as versatile artists capable of creating unforgettable experiences. They blended cultural influences, intricate production, and vibrant energy, amplifying the intense atmosphere of the night.
2. Hol!
Coming in a hot 2nd, Hol! brought in not just a huge crowd, but one that’s deeply engaged. His music, which seamlessly blends atmospheric, melodic, and progressive elements, creates an experience that resonates with festivalgoers. The build-ups in his sets are known to create an intense connection with the audience, and the emotional highs and lows of his music keep the crowd hooked from start to finish. I have personally seen Hol! a couple of times and he never fails to vibrate the crowd with the heavy bass drops and immersive beats.

If you’ve ever had the chance to see Zeds Dead live, you know that they’re one of those acts that just knows how to take a crowd on a journey. From the moment the duo took the stage, it was clear we were in for a wild ride. Zeds Dead has been a big name in the game for a while, but their ability to evolve their sound while keeping that signature, heart-pounding bassline is unmatched. The lights, the projections, the visuals — everything about it just amplified the entire vibe of Decadence Arizona.

The boys of ISOKNOCK recently brought their high-powered collaboration project to their hometown for two epic sold-out nights in San Diego 4EVR. Those lucky enough to attend this homecoming at Snapdragon Stadium were treated to an unforgettable experience with amazing acts, production, and music.
The excitement surrounding both nights of San Diego 4EVR could be felt from the parking lot to the entrance, the energy was electric. With swarms of fans teeming to enter the grounds on day one, the festival experienced challenges that resulted in hour-long waits for some GA patrons. This was fixed on night two with increased security remedying that issue. Night one brought out big names like Peekaboo and Madeon before ISOKNOCK made their big entrance. The duo drove an old-school Honda onto the stage with Knock2 in the driver’s seat and ISOxo sitting on top. The second night featured Glaive and the OG himself, RL Grime. The event climaxed with RL Grime joining ISOKNOCK on stage in a B2B for the ages.
The production for both nights was unmatched. The stage embodied the classic ISOKNOCK 90’s grunge vibe with steel beams, bright lights, a silhouetted ISOKNOCK logo, a Batman-style ISOKNOCK spotlight, and pyrotechnics galore. ISOKNOCK had an amazing blend of music throughout each of their sets. From bass house to dubstep to trap to house. They effortlessly blended it all, leaving the crowd guessing and hyped for more.

These two nights were some of the biggest parties I’ve experienced. The crowd participation and interaction truly made you want to party nonstop and was very immersive. The stage featured a walkway to the middle of the crowd that Knock2 and ISOxo used to get the crowd into an absolute frenzy. Knock2 manned the decks while playing ISOxo’s songs so that ISOxo could interact with the crowd and vice versa. On night two, ISOKNOCK surprised everyone when they appeared atop a tower at the heart of the crowd where they played for 20 minutes before running through the audience and onto the stage. During each set, ISOxo climbed the tower and shined a spotlight into the crowd to incite massive mosh pits. There were mosh pits across all sections of the crowd, GA and VIP alike. Luckily, the pits were respectful with moshers protecting and picking up those who fell. I even saw someone holding up another’s shoe and phone to ensure they got them back.
The weekend was topped off with ISOKNOCK revealing their very own festival in 2025—NITEHARTS FEST. The duo proclaimed that they want to bring music and culture back to their hometown San Diego and this festival will be a big part of that goal.

ISOKNOCK San Diego 4EVR was a weekend that no one in attendance will forget. The incredible performances by ISOKNOCK, Peekaboo, and RL Grime, unreal production and pyrotechnics, and unmatched energy made sure that fans walked away with lifelong memories. Be sure not to miss NITEHARTS FEST 2025 by signing up for updates here and keep up with Knock2 and ISOxo using the links below.

As 2024 comes to a close, the Moon Lvnding Fvm is reflecting on all the unforgettable sets that defined our year. From major festivals to hometown shows, we’ve danced, headbanged, and grooved our way across every corner of the US. Here’s a look at some of our staff’s favorite sets, festivals, and b2b performances from the past year.
What was your favorite set? Where was it and why was it your favorite?
Jessica Duncan – Assignment Director “Odezsa at Fulsom Field in Boulder, CO. This was the first time I was able to catch an Odezsa set since 2015 when they first began to blow up. The production was amazing, from fireworks to the full drum line and all the vocalists featured on their tracks. The set list covered every song I wanted to hear. The rain couldn’t stop us!”
Sam Wolloch – Chief Editor “Wooli at Electric Forest. I really enjoyed it because I was with my closest rave family on the grass field of Tripolee and Wooli played a ton of amazing new IDs. He was pumped up the entire set, and you could tell how much of his energy and passion went into its production.”
Troy Andrea – Staff Writer “Levity at Sunbar! Those boys bring such awesome energy to the stage. Their rapid blow-up this past year really just shows how success can find anyone. From having a USB at EForest to almost headlining festivals, they deserve all the hype, and their shows prove it.”
Grant Soffer – Staff Writer | Event Staff “Like many people are probably going to say, Tiesto at Groove Cruise was my favorite set of 2024. He played the headlining spot on the beach in the Bahamas and delivered the best hour of music I have ever experienced in my life. All of his song choices and transitions were immaculate, and the backdrop of the beautiful ocean and cruise ship made the setting even more beautiful. Being surrounded by 20 close friends, all smiling ear to ear and dancing our hearts out, made it even more special. That will be a set I will remember for the rest of my life.”
Kiana Kraft – Staff Writer “Kygo‘s headlining set at his own Palm Tree Festival in Oahu. Kygo is, and has been for a long time, my favorite artist. To finally get a chance to go to his festival in the perfect tropical place (he is the tropical house king) was so magical.”
Shae McCormick – Social Media Coordinator “Subtronics at Lost Lands. This was the final boss of Subtronics sets (so far). Old music, new music, all at Wompy Woods for sunset. He had the Cyclops Army going absolutely feral.”
Kate Nelson – Public Relations Director “Andrew Bayer at Sunbar in Arizona. He was touring his new EP, which has my all-time favorite song, ‘Places I Belong.’ It was a super high-energy set that flowed effortlessly between trance subgenres. I have a ‘Places I Belong’ tattoo, and I got to meet him and show it to him right before he went on!”
What was your favorite festival you attended?
Jessica – “I didn’t go to too many festivals this year; the only EDM festival I attended was Global Dance. For my full thoughts on it, check out my review from earlier this year.”
Sam – “Despite (or maybe because of) all of the weather difficulties, Elements 2024 was my favorite festival of the five fests I attended this year (Glow, Electric Forest, Secret Dreams, Elements, Lost Lands). The lineup was tremendous from Thursday to Sunday, and the vibes at the Friday renegades for those who weathered the storm were off the charts. The new layout at the Water Stage was outstanding, and I always love festivals that allow LSDream to have his Lightcode session on Sunday morning.”
Troy – “Lost Landswas awesome this year. The new Crater stage was so cool. I love how they bring the 360-experience to a new scale!”
Grant – “North Coast Music Festival in Chicago was and probably always will be my favorite festival. The layout of the venue is so well thought out, and there are endless activities and hidden adventures throughout the festival. Couple that with the amazing talent they always book on the lineup, and this becomes the perfect festival. All other festivals should be taking notes and copying their playbook.”
Kiana – “Coachella is my favorite festival and probably will be for a long time. I look forward to it every year. There’s nothing I look forward to more than dancing on the polo fields in the desert with the best music and the best people and planning fun outfits, of course.”
Shae – “Elements, Poconos PA. While the weather was a crazy experience, our group, Camp Happy Feet, came prepared for the unexpected and braved the storm with minimal damage. We made it out to the renegades night one to make up for the missed Friday of the fest, and they did not disappoint. Seeing Tape B three times in one night was a highlight; his b2b with Disco Lines, classic Car Tunes-Essie festival set at Club Renegade, and a special downtempo afters at Corporate Wooks. I also loved the art cars they had at the fest, like Harvey Disco Kitty at Fire Stage.”
Kate – “Dreamstate! The vibes are always incredible, and it has the friendliest crowd.”
What was your favorite b2b set you saw?
Jessica – “Worship (Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock, 1991) at Mission Ballroom. This night was the epitome of drum and bass. I went with one of my good friends, and we absolutely lost our minds the entire time.”
Sam – “My favorite b2b of the year had to be the world debut of the 4+ hour extended club set by Waxtroda(Wax Motif b2b Matroda) at the world-famous Brooklyn Mirage. They kept the vibes high for the entire set, and the whole crowd was grooving to their sexy house beats.”
Troy – “Heritage b2b Drinkurwater at Bass Canyon! Their sound designs just complement each other so well, and it was such a fun set to be a part of.”
Grant – “My favorite b2b from this year was probably Subtronics and Level Up at Beyond Wonderland in California. Zeds Dead had a last-minute cancelation, so the couple stepped up to fill the spot. It was a much smaller crowd than a normal Subtronics set, but that didn’t stop him from giving one of the best performances I have ever seen. It was a great way to close out night two of Beyond Wonderland.”
Kiana – “IsoKnock (ISOxo b2b Knock2) at Coachella Sahara tent. These two were the most incredibly perfect duo to go b2b at Sahara, and the energy was insane for the entire set. Safe to say people were dancing and partying at that set.”
Shae – “Excision b2b Wooli, Lost Lands Prehistoric Stage. They served dubstep at Dubstep Disneyland, and I successfully coordinated the rave fam meet-up with friends from all over the country. We had everyone in the right place at the right time, and the drone show was so cool! They even did Becky’s (one of the dinosaurs) butthole in drones! Shoutout to Crater Stage though: the star of Lost Lands this year.”
Stay tuned to Moon Lvnding for more content as we close out the year. For those located in Arizona, Decadence 2024 is just around the corner, and it’s sure to bring some unforgettable sets. We’re hyped to be there and can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for dance music!
