New Additions

With the 30th anniversary being a big one, there are also big changes happening. Building on the immersive worlds of past themes like kineticBLOOM (2022), kineticAWAKENING (2023), and kineticMETROPOLIS (2025), this year’s theme, kineticJOURNEY, is a tribute to the past. There are brand new stage designs for Kineitc Field, Basspod, Circuit Grounds, Cosmic Meadows, Neon Garden, Quantum Valley, Stereo Bloom, and Wasteland. So many of the main stages you knew from past EDCs will be getting a full rework! Make sure you get there early to experience all the new stage designs, and be sure to share the PLUR at each stage.

EDC is much more than just the music; it is an immersive world. Be sure to take time to see all it has to offer: Downtown EDC, YeeDC, the art carts, Ferris wheels, and rides. If you’re lucky, you’ll find the hidden speakeasy, and there will be plenty of performer parades throughout the festival. Be sure to get there early and explore around the festival grounds to see and experience all EDC has to offer.

Whether it’s your first EDC or your 30th, be sure to hydrate before, during, and after the event. It is going to be around 100 degrees all weekend, giving the OG headliners PTSD from the fire-spitting octopus that used to roll around the site when it was scheduled in June. If you see someone in trouble, check in with them and/or seek out medical help for them. Taking care of each other is the PLUR thing to do!

EDC 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most memorable festivals of the year on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. Be sure to plan ahead so accommodation and transportation are sorted to make sure you can maximize your time at EDC. Set up your squad with a meet-up spot in case anyone gets lost, and enjoy all the amazing selections of food and drink around the speedway. For all the vibes and none of the distractions, put your phone away and let the vibe of the night take you away. I look forward to seeing you under the electric sky next week!

Beyond The Booth: BRVMES

Go Beyond The Booth with French-Electro genre-fusing DJ BRVMES!

What inspired you to become a DJ/ how did you come up with your stage name, BRVMES?

BRVMES: I don’t think I set out to be a DJ necessarily, but more so a producer. The desire to play live definitely came later. I came up with the name BRVMES because it’s derived from the French word “brumes,” meaning “misty” or “foggy,” and it immediately sets the vibe for what the project is all about. Fun fact: I only chose it if and only if Petit Biscuit gave his blessing, which he did personally, so I proceeded with the name.

For someone just discovering you, how would you describe the sound of your music to them?

B: I would definitely say dark and visceral, but also a bit groovy at the same time.

What ongoing influences or experiences continue to shape your sound as you grow within the music industry?

B: Vintage cinema continues to shape a lot of what draws me in creatively. Films from the ’60s and ’70s have a unique atmosphere that feels largely lost today, and they always push me toward making something darker and moodier. Lately, Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Samouraï (1967) has been stuck in my head. I also pull heavily from early-2000s runway shows, and in a way, every track I make still has to feel ‘runway-ready.’

How does French Electro compare to the US style of music?

B: I think the origin story of French Electro has a lot to do with it. The “French touch,” as it is called, has a certain feel to it, to the point that France added it to the national inventory for UNESCO’s World Heritage list last year. It’s really difficult to pinpoint, but in my opinion, France has just been king of the sound from the start, and it’s rich with its own flavor. The US style of music today is just in a different place, but over time, I have seen it becoming more and more mature and Euro-centric, with harder genres and more “French touch” influences. I have always just seen French Electro as the grandfather of electronic music.

For someone trying to make it in the music industry, what advice would you give them?

B: The number one thing is to ensure that you are having fun making music and to make it for yourself. If it turns into a race or a way to please others, then it’s for all the wrong reasons, and the motivation will fizzle out very quickly. I would also caution against chasing genres that are popping or trying to race to remix the latest big house track. These can work, but a lot of it is short-lived.

Ultimately, it depends on the artist’s goal, too.  There are some who just want to go viral and others who want to stick around and create all originals, but each path has its own methods that work in today’s social-media-ridden climate. So my advice really will vary depending on what they are after in the music scene.

It can be from any genre, but who would you love to collab with and why?

B:  I would say Lorn. He has insane production chops, but also is so unique that I think I would pick up a lot from working in the same studio as him.

What is your process when collaborating with different artists, and how do you approach blending your style with theirs?

B: My process is really centered around talking about what we both like. Eventually, something comes of that, and we both know what gets us hyped and energized, and then taking that momentum right into the studio session really helps something sound nice afterwards.

How will you know that you have “made it in the music industry”?

B: That’s something I think about often to try to keep myself grounded. If I asked my younger self, I’d probably say I’ve already made it, but the goalpost keeps moving. At this point, ‘making it’ looks like touring or playing festivals I once attended as a fan.

How has it been releasing music on the Hypnovizion label?

B: It has been really awesome, the Hypnovizion team is amazing and really white-gloves the release experience, and they do an amazing job including me on the label. I have released through a few different labels before, where it’s very transactional, but the Hypnovizion team really folded me into their culture, which has been a great feeling.

What was your inspiration for DOOM?

B: DOOM’s inspiration was a bubbling up of a large production phase for BRVMES while overseas. I was making a ton of music in all genres, and I finally just honed it all back in, leveled out all my experience, and finished DOOM (and many other similar tracks) at once. I then compiled a body of work that I can really say resembled the BRVMES sound by 2026.

What other labels would you want to release music on?

B: I am a big fan of Boyznoise Records and would love to team up with them. Additionally, OWSLA for nostalgic reasons, and lastly, I would say the Parisian label Zone, run by The Hacker.

When you got told you would be opening for REZZ in Houston, how did that experience influence your growth as an artist?

B: I think this cemented my goal to play more shows; it was on my list of to-dos as an artist for this year, and it kicked off my trajectory in this path as a performer rather than being holed up in the studio. I’ve spent the last 10 years really isolated with not much performing, so opening for REZZ was a re-centering of the whole purpose of electronic music, which is really playing out these tunes on the dancefloor – that’s what it’s all about.

Who was the first person you told that you would be opening for REZZ?

B: I told my fiancée! She knew I was coming out of my shell more as an artist and entering that next phase, and it’s only natural to share these things with those closest to you. Also, my cat is the best.

What has been the most memorable thing you have experienced since you have been in the music industry?

B: There are so many, but I really think it’s the first time hearing one of my tracks played out at a festival in person in the crowd. This experience is very wild and silences a lot of the doubts I originally had. Second, when I was starting to work in the sync licensing industry, my track Reve was used in “Billions” on Showtime.

What is your dream venue/ festival that you would love to perform at?

B: Definitely EDC. A cliche answer, but it was the first real festival I went to in 2013 – EDC Chicago, which was the first and only one in that city.

Before performing, what pre-show rituals do you do to get into the right mindset for each performance?

B: An involuntary ritual is my extreme loss of appetite, which I’ve had forever; I can never keep a meal down until after the show is over. Outside of that, quadruple-checking my 4 USBs in my pocket to calm any nerves.

How do you switch up your sets to keep them fresh for different crowds?

B: I am always plugged into my favorite tracks on Bandcamp and other streaming places, so I will always bring in my classic Braves tracks, then I export any new IDs, and last, I hit up some artist friends to see if there’s anything ultra fresh I can include. Ultimately, just having a good pulse on present stuff, but I always try to include some og throwbacks for any new ravers out there who haven’t heard those records live.

We’re thinking big picture now: if you get a documentary made about you/your music career, what are some key things that should be included & why?

B: Hands down, the importance of music education in the school system. It has been the biggest catalyst for me as an artist, and having good access to the arts and exposure to them (across all income levels). Having early access to these things really shaped who I am now and why I do what I do.

If you had an unlimited budget, what effects (visuals, lasers, pyro, etc.) would you want for your performance?

B: I’ve always wanted a very slim, minimalistic live setup for shows, and I’ve always been a big fan of 360 sets/venue set-ups. For lighting and lasers, it must be perpendicular, and, like the lights themselves, it’s vogueing.

At Moon Lvnding, we show gratitude every day. How do you show gratitude in your daily life?

B: For me, gratitude comes from paying attention. As an artist, I try to stay present, notice the work as it’s unfolding, and not rush past moments of progress or inspiration. I also make a point to recognize the people involved and the time and care they put into the process.

How do you stay authentic to yourself while being in the music industry?

B: I try not to really compromise too much and give in to trends as easily now. I am 34 and have been raving for a long time, so I really am over chasing trends, genres, or anything flashy. My only goal is to connect with people on the dance floor while making tracks that I am genuinely proud of. Once I shifted into this mindset, it has not failed me. I find that it’s a little slower as a path, but I would choose it 10/10 times.

Where can fans discover your music?

B: Right now on all standard platforms like Spotify and Soundcloud! Planning to move a lot of my catalogue over to Bandcamp as well.

Is there anything else that you would like to share?

B: Thank you for the interview! I enjoyed the questions and hope they give a glimpse into the BRVMES project. I field a lot of questions from fans on social media, and there is a lot of curiosity, so I hope people enjoy the insights <3.

Artists like Shlomo and Clawz showcase the best hard techno has to offer on night one. Basscon makes its triumphant return as the host of nights two and three. Lil Texas, Da Tweekaz, Darren Styles, and more unbelievable names will keep the party going with high BPM all night long.

Lift Off: Camp EDC

Camp EDC is BACK, and the mesa is set to be hotter than ever! From the pre-party on Day 0 to pregame pool parties and afters that go well past sunrise, Camp EDC is a legendary marathon that keeps the party going all day long under the electric sky.

The mesa is a bustling hub of activity every year, and the lineups for its artist appearances have finally dropped! Thursday kicks off with what is set to be a stellar way to set the tone for the weekend. From 8pm to 3am, the camp stage will be bumping with beats from artists like DJ Gigola, Mochakk, and more. Presented by Casa Bacardi, expect a night of moving and grooving to get all warmed up for the weekend.

While EDC itself is all about the night owls, Camp EDC hosts plenty of fun in the sun. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday feature prime daytime vibes with pool parties. Friday and Sunday, bring the house heaters, with DJs from Insomniac Records’ roster: Noizu, SIDEPIECE, Walker & Royce, and Biscits. The bassheads will be pleased with Saturday’s Bassrush lineup featuring Andromedik, Layz, DRINKURWATER, and Sota.

For the marathoners who want to keep the party going, the afters are where it’s at. From 5am to 10am, campers can lose themselves in a diverse lineup after the speedway winds down. Trance and house are the main players in the mornings, with an absolutely insane Ben Sterling b3b Beltran b3b Chasewest set closing out the weekend on Monday morning.

In addition to all the music, the mesa will feature all kinds of ways to keep busy during the day. Campers can expect everything from yoga, shuffle workshops, arts and crafts, and more. Stay tuned as EDC approaches to find all the fun activities to be announced, and check out Insomniac’s preview video for Camp EDC 2025 to get your imagination going.

Lift Off: EDC Las Vegas 2025

Ravers worldwide waited patiently for the EDC Las Vegas 2025 lineup announcement and on Thursday, February 13, we got it as an early Valentine’s Day gift. Insomniac held their signature Music Through Music Lineup Reveal livestream hosted at Pasquale’s house and seen by thousands of ravers, including a live watch party at Dave & Busters in Hollywood. Many, like myself, tuned in to guess who they heard at each stage and then impatiently waited for the full lineup. Thankfully, it did not disappoint!

EDCLV 2025 has a huge range of genres and artists ensuring everyone who attends will have an unforgettable weekend. Starting with the iconic EDC B2Bs, there is Illenium B2B Slander, Alison Wonderland B2B Kaskade, Artbat B2B Morten, Jessica Audifred B2B Layz, and the dubstep OGs Caspa B2B Rusko just to name a few.

Gracing the EDCLV stage for the first time are the legendary dark prince himself, Gasaffelstein, and the dynamic dubstep trio, Levity. But the big question on everyone’s mind is who the ???????? is on the lineup among the ‘i’ artists. Could it be ISOKNOCK’s last 4EVR set? Sounds plausible to me. I could write on and on about every big act and new name on the lineup, but every time I look at the lineup I see someone else I want to see. I’m already counting down the days.

We got a few stage updates as well. This year’s theme is Kinetic Metropolis, so with a name like that, you already know the main stage will blow us away. Cosmic Meadows is also getting a new upgrade for a very special live set. We don’t know who it is yet, but the rumor is it’s for Gasaffelstein. For the bassheads, this will be the final year of this edition of Basspod. It will go out with a bang, so be prepared. Hotel EDC is being hosted at the Virgin Hotel and exclusively for EDC-goers who are staying there. There’s no better place for nonstop partying and no need to worry about any awkward looks when coming back at eight in the morning.

In three months, ravers around the world return home under the Electric Sky. Tickets for the three-day festival are sold out, but Camp EDC tickets are still available and limited Hotel EDC packages are still on sale. Stay locked into Moon Lvnding for more EDCLV updates as we get closer to May. For now, get your cardio up and figure out how to get down to Las Vegas, because before you know it EDCLV 2025 will be here!

EDC Orlando 2024: The Summit Of Electronic Music

Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Orlando once again transformed Tinker Field into a neon wonderland of music, art, and energy from November 8 to November 10, 2024. Thousands of attendees flocked to this three-day celebration, featuring a star-studded lineup that only EDC can pull off with electronic titans like TiestoIllenium, and John Summit alongside fan favorites such as Zeds DeadCarl Cox, and Amelie Lens. With five massive stages, art installations, carnival rides, and immersive VIP experiences, EDC Orlando 2024 proved to be a dazzling showcase of electronic music’s finest.

Festival Grounds Fit for a Fantasy

The festival grounds were nothing short of enchanting, with classic EDC neon carnival rides and installations teleporting attendees to a futuristic world. Moving through the space was effortless, thanks to a well-planned layout with multiple pathways between stages that mitigated most congestion aside from peak sets. The layout split the main stages into pairs, making it a breeze to bounce between performances at kineticFIELD and neonGARDEN or circuitGROUNDS and stereoBLOOM. Dividing these pairs were installations like Polygon Park and the smaller casaBACARDI stage. Each stage had a unique design tailored to its musical vibe: kineticFIELD’s gothic grandeur captivated with towering columns and enormous LED displays reminiscent of cathedral windows, while the more intimate neonGarden created a dark and atmospheric techno haven. The use of shipping containers to mitigate sound bleed between stages proved very successful as this was never a problem. Essentials like water stations and restrooms were plentiful and well-placed, and VIP areas at kineticFIELD and circuitGROUNDS provided elevated viewing platforms, shorter lines, and even interactive activities like kandi making and trinket trading, adding to the festival’s charm.

Friday: A Dynamic Start

The festival kicked off with high-energy performances like YDG and Jon Casey, setting the tone for the weekend. Much of our day was spent bouncing between circuitGROUNDS and stereoBLOOM where we caught a great variety of standout performances. Max Styler‘s fiery tech house ramped up the energy as the sun went down over stereoBLOOM, building perfectly into Odd Mob‘s unique and dynamic blend of genres that propelled him to fame. Another jaw-dropping performance was when Black Tiger Sex Machine and Kai Wachi brought their high-powered dubstep project Skull Machine to circuitGROUNDS, a surprise that was announced that same morning. The day climaxed with epic closing sets from Australian superstar Fisher leaving kineticFIELD losing it, to Zeds Dead capitulating the heavy-hitting Bassrush takeover at circuitGROUNDS, and a masterclass of deep grooves and hypnotic techno by Carl Cox B2B Vintage Culture ending the Factory 93 Experience takeover at neonGARDEN. We closed our night at stereoBLOOM, hosted by Insomniac Records, where Waxtroda (Wax Motif B2B Matroda) set the dance floor ablaze with an infectious mix of house bangers. After all this, our time at EDC had only just begun.

Saturday: A Spellbinding Midway

The magic continued on Saturday with stellar performances across every stage. This day definitely brought the largest crowd and the most schedule conflicts. It featured highlights like a wildly fun Dillon Francis B2B Disco Lines set on kineticFIELD, the soulful afro energy of Amémé B2B Honeyluv on stereoBLOOM, and a wonk-heavy bass performance by Boogie T on circuitGROUNDS. To close the festival, the iconic Tiesto left kineticFIELD in a state of euphoria, The Martinez Brothers brought neonGarden to a groove the way only they know to do, while the talented Cloone closed stereoBLOOM. We made our way to circuitGROUNDS where Bassrush brought the bass once more, with Ganja White Knight closing the stage in a set filled with intricate visuals and bone-rattling drops.

Sunday: A Magical Finale

Sunday delivered a climactic end to the weekend, with performances that kept the energy soaring until the final beat. We were especially thrilled with the epic Worship (Sub Focus B2B Dimension B2B Culture Shock B2B 1991) set at kineticFIELD which marked the first DnB performance on that stage, an exhilarating Fly With Us (AC Slater B2B Chris Lorenzo) session that led perfectly into Worship, and a rip-roaring performance from SIDEPIECE on circuitGROUNDS that kept fans on their toes. The last day had a variety of top-notch closing acts that made it difficult to choose. The most popular choice, John Summit did not disappoint with his masterclass at circuitGROUNDS, while Amelie Lens brought her dark, pulsing techno to neonGarden, and ATB took stereoBLOOM attendees on a nostalgic trance journey. We decided to close the night at kineticFIELD where Illenium took the crowd on an emotional rollercoaster of melodic bass as the fireworks and drones lit up the night sky.
