Moon Fvm Favs of 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, the Moon Lvnding Fvm is reflecting on all the unforgettable sets that defined our year. From major festivals to hometown shows, we’ve danced, headbanged, and grooved our way across every corner of the US, and even Canada. Here’s a look at some of our staff’s favorite sets, festivals, venues, and b2b performances from the past year.

What was your favorite set and why?

Jessica Duncan – Assignment Director

Sara Landry‘s Eternalism set at the Junkyard in Denver. This was my first time seeing her, and all the hype around her is completely justified. The production for this show was absolutely insane! Her set flowed really well and incorporated all the genres I love.

Kate Nelson – Public Relations Director

Armin Van Buuren at EDC Las Vegas. Old hits, new hits, classic trance, and new eras of trance. His set was so diverse and had me jumping like a set hasn’t in a long time. I heard “Set Me Free” for the first time and listened to it every day on SoundCloud for months until it was officially released. He brought out multiple guests, including Gryffin for their song “What Took You So Long.” This is another track I’ve had on repeat since it came out in 2024. I was surrounded by all my best friends, the fireworks were directly before him, and it was just magical. A perfect EDC main stage set. That set is going to be my Roman Empire forever.

Sam Wolloch – Chief Editor

Adventure Club Throwback Tour at Terminal 5. I’ve been looking forward to this tour all year and finally getting to hear it lived up to the hype. Hearing their classics from 10 to 15 years ago brought me back to an earlier time in EDM when life was less complicated and more carefree.

Shae McCormack – Social Media Coordinator

Subtronics Cyclops Rocks night two was my favorite set of the year. Since I got my O.P.U.S. brainwave tattoo, Jesse blessed me by putting me on his artist guestlist for his Red Rocks shows. Night two was truly special for me since he closed out with O.P.U.S. He usually doesn’t play that in his sets anymore with all of his new music. He knew how important that song is to me. Knowing he played it for the show he invited me to as his guest meant the world to me as a fan.

Chris Savioe – Staff Writer

Levity Lasership at the Shrine in Los Angeles. Not only did they limit tickets so it was not overly packed, but the production alone was next level. An insane amount of lasers, colored pyrotechnics, just an unreal set by them. After the set, they also did a surprise meet and greet with everyone.

Kristen Dutton – Staff Writer

Illenium B2B Slander at EDC Las Vegas. It was absolutely so magical. The people, the music, the stage, it reminded me why I love doing what I do! And Grabbitz at Darkstar, it hit parts of my soul I never knew existed.

Emery Davis – Staff Writer / Photographer

Zed’s Dead at Rawhide. It was spent with my close rave fam and it was the tour for an album I really enjoyed. They played a lot of really good stuff and had an incredible lineup. I also got to meet Sippy and she was so cool and incredibly sweet. I felt like you could tell she was excited to meet her fans and connect with them.

What was your favorite festival you attended?

Kate – EDC Las Vegas this year was the most perfect festival experience I’ve ever had, and it’s because of the group I went with. We have RV camping down to a science, and all weekend long was seamless, perfect, and the most memorable time I’ve ever had. From a plethora of inside jokes, meeting up with friends from all across the country, and Afters-ing till 10:00am, we couldn’t have had a better experience. The sets were incredible, the love radiated, and the memories will last forever. I also got to interview Lavern in the press lounge after he opened the main stage on day one, which was an incredible experience. I connected with so many other people on the media side of the industry, and the view from the lounge is amazing. I’m truly so grateful for the opportunities dance music and Moon Lvnding have brought me. That interview was truly a “Holy Sh*t, I made it” moment, and I will never ever forget it.

Sam – Shambhala takes the title as my new favorite festival and it’s not even close. Being a dry fest without any alcohol sales on site is a game-changer for the festival vibes and the vendor layout. But the Salmo River stole the show as the central hangout spot to cool off during the sunny afternoons.

Shae – Shambhala in Salmo, BC. It was my first time attending and the festival surpassed every hope I had for it. There are plenty of daytime activities like acro yoga, breath work, skinny dipping, and of course, floating down the river. At night, the festival transforms into a dazzling atmosphere with unique vibes at each stage and the heaviest bass a sound system can handle. The community is the embodiment of PLUR and there were plenty of experienced ravers in the crowd. The journey to get to and from the festival can take days of travel and hours of waiting in line, so those who make it truly want to be there. This festival truly reminded me of my “why” for raving. Shanbhala re-connected me to my love for this community, how PLUR has changed me for the better, and raving has shaped how I show up in the world.

Something unique about Shambhala is its strict no alcohol policy. While correlation doesn’t equal causation, I believe the no alcohol policy and onsite harm reduction and testing resources contributed to a safer environment. There wasn’t drunk fighting or people being carried out of the crowd by paramedics like you unfortunately, typically see at many other festivals. Harm reduction services are free and extensive, not only for substance testing and measurement but also for safe sex practices and hygiene.

Sam and I had the opportunity to interview Whipped Cream, who played a vibrant and genre-diverse set at the AMP stage. The artist lounge was in a treehouse where I wrote an encouraging message in a notebook left there signed with the Moon Lvnding social media handle. A few weeks later, I received a message from the owner of the notebook who thanked me for the kind words.

Chris – EDC Las Vegas. This year was the final year of the current basspod stage and it was crazy stacked. The group we went with was amazing this year. We had our own party bus, no drama, and it was just an insane time. Ending the weekend with a 5:00am Voyd set was great

Kristen – DUSK purely for the Moon Lvnding fam. I had such a genuine bonding weekend; it made my heart so full.

Emery – Cyclops Desert at Rawhide. My bestie and I hosted a meetup, I had a great group, the lineup was insane. Subtronics played practically all of Fibonacci Pt. 1. It was the craziest two nights I’d had in a while.

What was your favorite venue?

Jessica – Mission Ballroom in Denver. So many amazing artists come through there every year. The giant disco ball always adds an extra element to each show.

Kate – Darkstar in Tempe has truly turned into such an incredible club. Intimate vibes and the best crowds. The attached lobby bar is great if you need a moment to step away and chat with friends before jumping back into seeing your favorite artist tear it up to a true crowd of ravers.

Sam – Once again, Shambhala & the Salmo River are back in the limelight for best venue. There’s nothing better than relaxing in a tube, floating on the river, and listening to the beats coming from the riverside stage.

Shae – Brooklyn Storehouse took over the scene in NYC this year as the Brooklyn Mirage didn’t overcome its remodeling issues. Storehouse had mainly been booking house and techno artists but this year they have expanded into bass music with upcoming shows for Crankdat, REZZ, Subtronics, and Seven Lions.

This warehouse venue is customizable for artists to create the production experience they want, so it’s not surprising that many artists who typically were booked year over year at the Brooklyn Mirage have been migrating to this venue for their tour shows.

Chris – This year might be The Shrine in Los Angeles. Between the Lasership show and the Subtronics 360 set, they really went all out.

Kristen – Even though it’s giant, EDC Las Vegas at Las Vegas Raceway.

Emery – Rawhide in Arizona, specifically for Goldrush. This was my first Goldrush at Rawhide and I must say it far outweighs the raceway for this event. It felt like a real western town and was just so cool.

What was your favorite B2B?

Jessica – Caspa B2B Rusko at Mission Ballroom in Denver. Seeing the OG’s of dubstep throw down classic after classic made me feel like it was 2010 again, when I was first discovering those songs.

Kate – Adam Ten B2B Mita Gami at EDC Las Vegas. Flawless minimal vibes, the two flowed effortlessly into each other.

Sam – Excision B2B Subtronics at Lost Lands. This was the set we were waiting for all weekend and it exceeded expectations. These guys were chopping it up, finishing each other’s drops, and slamming VIP after VIP for almost two full hours. Dubstep at its finest!

Shae – Excision B2B Subtronics at Lost Lands was everything a headbanger could have asked for! Two of my favorite artists blending their most iconic tracks together into a symphony of heavy-hitting bass was the ultimate finale. I frequently re-watch that set and time-travel back to one of my all-time favorite sets of my rave career.

Chris – ILLENIUM B2B Slander was probably my favorite of the year at EDC Las Vegas.

Kristen – Aside from Slander B2B Illenium, Illenium B2B Zeds Dead at Goldrush. It was absolutely BONKERS.

Emery – Zed’s Dead B2B Illenium. Their music selection was immaculate and I had multiple friends from out of state and different rave fams with me. Sharing music and movement with them was incredible and the crowd around us was so full of PLUR.

As we close the chapter on 2025, these moments remind us why we fell in love with dance music in the first place. From massive festival stages to intimate club nights, legendary B2Bs to deeply personal sets, this year was fueled by connection, community, and unforgettable energy. We’re endlessly grateful to these artists, the venues that became second homes, and the people who shared the dance floor with us. Thank you for being part of the Moon Lvnding Fvm. Here’s to continuing to chase the magic wherever the music takes us next in 2026.

Lift Off: EDC Las Vegas 2025

Ravers worldwide waited patiently for the EDC Las Vegas 2025 lineup announcement and on Thursday, February 13, we got it as an early Valentine’s Day gift. Insomniac held their signature Music Through Music Lineup Reveal livestream hosted at Pasquale’s house and seen by thousands of ravers, including a live watch party at Dave & Busters in Hollywood. Many, like myself, tuned in to guess who they heard at each stage and then impatiently waited for the full lineup. Thankfully, it did not disappoint!

EDCLV 2025 has a huge range of genres and artists ensuring everyone who attends will have an unforgettable weekend. Starting with the iconic EDC B2Bs, there is Illenium B2B Slander, Alison Wonderland B2B Kaskade, Artbat B2B Morten, Jessica Audifred B2B Layz, and the dubstep OGs Caspa B2B Rusko just to name a few.

Gracing the EDCLV stage for the first time are the legendary dark prince himself, Gasaffelstein, and the dynamic dubstep trio, Levity. But the big question on everyone’s mind is who the ???????? is on the lineup among the ‘i’ artists. Could it be ISOKNOCK’s last 4EVR set? Sounds plausible to me. I could write on and on about every big act and new name on the lineup, but every time I look at the lineup I see someone else I want to see. I’m already counting down the days.

We got a few stage updates as well. This year’s theme is Kinetic Metropolis, so with a name like that, you already know the main stage will blow us away. Cosmic Meadows is also getting a new upgrade for a very special live set. We don’t know who it is yet, but the rumor is it’s for Gasaffelstein. For the bassheads, this will be the final year of this edition of Basspod. It will go out with a bang, so be prepared. Hotel EDC is being hosted at the Virgin Hotel and exclusively for EDC-goers who are staying there. There’s no better place for nonstop partying and no need to worry about any awkward looks when coming back at eight in the morning.

In three months, ravers around the world return home under the Electric Sky. Tickets for the three-day festival are sold out, but Camp EDC tickets are still available and limited Hotel EDC packages are still on sale. Stay locked into Moon Lvnding for more EDCLV updates as we get closer to May. For now, get your cardio up and figure out how to get down to Las Vegas, because before you know it EDCLV 2025 will be here!

EDC Las Vegas 2024 In Review

Last weekend in beautiful mid-May, ravers from around the world met under the Electric Sky once more for an unforgettable weekend presented by Insomniac. EDC Las Vegas 2024 brought epic b2bs, a larger layout, a hidden country stage, and more. The biggest festival in the world welcomed over 525,000 “headliners” over the three days.

Here’s my experience of its production, artists, new stage layouts, and final impressions of the event.
Insomniac pulled out all the stops with its production for this year’s show. From an amazing drone show over Kinetic Field and improved stage layouts to all the intricate art and the iconic firework display each night.

Kinetic Field’s main stage production highlighted a cathedral theme of giant organ pipes with pyrotechnics. Rather than a main owl centerpiece, there was a main LED cathedral window and many more side windows showing owl graphics.

Thoughtful Intermezzos, unreal fireworks, an epic drone show, plenty of pyrotechnics, and stellar sound made Kinetic Field exceed its reputation as a cathedral for Insomniac’s Electric Daisy empire. One detail I enjoyed was each cathedral window had an image of Kinetic Field centerpieces from prior years. They brought back fond memories of the tree production of EDC 2016.

Kinetic Field set the stage for some of the weekend’s most iconic moments. Tiesto debuted two new singles, “Hot Honey” and the EDC Las Vegas theme song “My City.” Zedd announced his new album release using drones. John Summit and Green Velvet collaborated to end the weekend in style on main stage.

Photo Credit: Insomniac Events // Alex Perez

There were some significant changes to the stage layout in 2024. Quantum Valley and Neon Gardens moved closer to Kinetic Field and transported festivalgoers to a different dimension where they could easily walk between trance, techno, and house sets. Quantum Valley revamped the DJ booth portal with more lasers and a sound setup that made you forget how close it was to Kinetic. Neon Garden was home to huge names like Carl Cox with a larger stage and amazing lights all over the top of the tent.

Circuit Grounds’ signature wraparound steel frame never disappoints. With large LED panels it housed huge names from many genres like John Summit, Excision, and Sara Landry. The main update was creating more depth with the visuals by pushing the DJ booth back and surrounding it with lights.

Basspod got a new home to the right of Electric Avenue and Circuit Grounds, rocking new signature shocks and a lifted DJ booth. Bassheads had much more space to soak up the production and pyrotechnics and because it was further away from the other stages Insomniac could turn up the volume! I could feel the bass through my body at sets like Kai Wachi, Crankdat, and Ghengar.

Wasteland, Stereo Bloom, and Bionic Jungle also moved around a bit. Wasteland moved across the raceway and got smaller by Basspod and Electric Avenue. Bionic Jungle got a bit of an upgrade with space and visuals between Kinetic Field and Cosmic Meadow. Stereo Bloom continued to grow in stature and sound, hosting sets from Noizu and Matroda b2b San Pacho.

Over 230 DJs came from all over the world to bring the magic to the centerpiece of the spring festival season. Subtronics debuted on main stage and played another set with his wife Level Up. Fred Again.. made a surprise appearance at Circuit Grounds Saturday after his buddy Four Tet. Peggy Gou played two sets including a b2b with Marcel. Other impressive b2bs included Carl Cox b2b Nicole Moudaber, Acraze b2b Kream, and Eli Brown b2b Hi-Lo.

But why settle for b2bs when you can have b3bs! Noizu, Westend, and Mele combined to get the weekend going at Cosmic Meadow. There were also megacollabs like Worship, with DnB artists Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock, and 1991, and Hivemind, with heavy bass artists Kayzo, Space Laces, and Must Die!

Downtown EDC featured new installations too. One could listen to Country EDM at the YEEDC stage, “gamble” at the Kandi casino or get unofficially married to your rave bae. There was a dating show called “Up to Date,” a retro stage with throwback music, and walking DJs with giant speakers on their backs and CDJs in front. Insomniac always packs EDC with magical hidden gems to explore when walking between stages or going on a side quest.

Photo Credit: Insomniac Events 2 // Chris Pearce

The VIP areas were a bit hit or miss based on the stage and set. The two best stages, Kinetic Field and Circuit Grounds, had the best VIP layout. Kinetic Field had gourmet food, barbers/hairdressers, rides, lockers, and a viewing deck. Circuit Grounds’ viewing area had a massive ground-level viewing area with a speakeasy and an arcade!

Neon Gardens and Quantum Valley shared the VIP entrance/exit which was convenient to go between those two stages. Basspod and Cosmic Meadows VIP areas were lacking, especially for some of the crush of crowds for big acts. My biggest suggestion would be to expand the VIP at Basspod’s new location.

There will be more improvements in store for EDC Las Vegas 2025, now on sale for only $5 down! What more can you ask for than this epic celebration of EDM culture with over half a million people over a 3-day weekend filled with unforgettable sights and sounds?! I’m already looking forward to being back under the Electric Sky, will you be there too?

EDC 2024 Tips & Tricks

EDC Las Vegas 2024 is finally here! The largest EDM festival in the US attracts a global audience, uniting fans under the electric sky for 3 days of raver bliss. Whether it’s your first EDC or your tenth, we have compiled some tips and tricks to maximize your experience.

Tip #1: Early Bird Gets The Worm 🪱

Get there early on Day 1 to explore everything EDC has to offer. Highly recommend this on Day 1 for a few reasons: Day 1 typically has longer lines both at will call and security. You will also be your freshest on Day 1, use that to your advantage. There are a lot of hidden gems within EDC that are easy to miss if you don’t arrive early and fresh enough to walk around. This is especially true this year as the updated layout is sure to bring new hidden villages, bars, and games.

Tip #2: Meet Up 📍

Always designate a meet-up spot and time. This one should be a go-to for all festivals but is especially necessary for EDC. For first-time attendees, the grounds of EDC can be daunting. When the sun is coming up and your phone is dead or you have no service, you’re going to need a place to reconvene with your squad. Select a landmark that is easy to find and decide on an exact time to meet up. We all love a solo side quest until it’s 6 AM and you’re trying to get home with a dead phone.

Tip #3: Views 🤩

This is a double tip. First, stay for at least one sunrise set—or all three if you’re crazy like me! There is something magical about watching the sunrise over Kinetic Field or Cosmetic Meadows that provokes goosebumps just thinking about it. Second tip, catch at least one night of fireworks from the bleachers. This one is sometimes harder to do because of what sets you want to see. However, just like the sunrise sets the fireworks from the bleachers give you the best view of the fireworks and EDC. It is an experience you will not forget.

Tip #4: Prep And Let Go 🧘‍♀️

Study the map, have a game plan for your favorite sets, and then… let go and enjoy your weekend! With the new layout this year everyone is going to be walking around like it’s their first time so make sure you study the map. Understand which stage you’ll frequent the most and map out your routes to and from each stage. EDC is an enormous festival so getting from one stage to another can take time. When it comes to sets, designate your must-see sets for the weekend but don’t stress about where you are and what sets you are or aren’t seeing. EDC is one of the biggest and best festivals in the world so no matter who you’re seeing, it’s going to be an amazing time. A carefree mindset is essential to a great experience. If your group doesn’t want to see your must-see set, designate a meet-up spot and go! On the flip side, go check out that artist your friends want to see if you don’t have a major schedule conflict. Time with friends is irreplaceable and you might stumble upon a new favorite!

Tip #5: Hydrate 💧

Last tip but the most important—remember to drink water throughout the night, eat food, and take care of everyone around you. Festival days can get hectic and people easily forget to take care of themselves. Fun times can turn into not-fun times quickly. EDC is a marathon but as long as you take care of yourself and look out for your friends it will be a blast!

EDC is home to ravers around the world and on May 17 we all return home. Take these tips with you into the weekend and have an amazing time under the electric sky!

EDC LV 2024 Reveals Lineup and New Layout

Following Thursday night’s ‘Music On Music’ megamix of songs from each artist on the lineup, Insomniac today revealed the lineup for EDC Las Vegas 2024. To no one’s surprise, it’s stacked with EDM’s hottest up-and-coming and legendary talent for its expected 525,000 dance music fanatics to enjoy. Insomniac Events’ flagship festival and the world’s leading electronic dance music event will feature over 230 DJs and producers descending upon the Vegas Strip for the three-day show on May 17-19.

Promising to be “one of the most memorable ever”, this year’s theme of #kineticCIRCLE embraces circles of community and memories with new venue layouts, larger dancefloors, and a saloon-style bar called YeeDC. NeonGARDEN, bionicJUNGLE, quantumVALLEY, bassPOD, and wasteLAND will be relocated, and the neon lights will reach several downtown chappels and into Vegas’ famous wedding chappels.

EDCLV seems like a cant-miss this year and we’re excited to hear the surprises don’t end there.
