Subtronics Conquers Brooklyn Storehouse

Subtronics continues to build his legacy as one of dubstep’s most influential producers with his first North American tour in over two years. The Fibonacci Tour spans three months with 16 dates in 12 major cities across the USA and Canada, bringing the heat during the cold winter months. It is the first time Subtronics has toured after the completion of his Fibonacci double EP arc, including Fibonacci Pt 1: Oblivion and Fibonacci Pt 2: Infinity.

He started the tour on January 23 in Toronto, and Moon Lvnding’s New York crew was on hand in Brooklyn to check out his shows on February 27 + 28, marking the beginning of the second half of the tour. As a Philly native, Subtronics is no stranger to New York City, having sold out numerous venues over the 10+ years he’s been touring. However, these two sell-out shows at the cavernous Brooklyn Storehouse might have been his most ambitious yet.

The enormous warehouse space in the Brooklyn Navy Yard boasts over 100K square feet, 42-foot ceilings, and capacity for 5,000 guests. Subtronics’ team spared no expense on production at the event and went all out with a laser setup I have never seen before. Not only did Subtronics have lasers flanking both sides of his stage, shooting towards the back of the warehouse, but there was also a full set of lasers rigged to the back of the warehouse, aimed at the front of the dancefloor. Impressively, the sold-out crowds were completely blanketed by lasers in both directions, with additional pyrotechnics punctuating Subtronics’ biggest bassdrops.

To Subtronics’ immense credit, he made both nights feel distinctly unique by curating diverse lineups and tweaking his two headline sets to match the vibes of his talented support. Over the years, my respect for Subtronics’ ability to incorporate a wide range of bass acts has grown tremendously, and the lineups for his two shows in Brooklyn demonstrated it perfectly.

On Friday night, his two big support acts were Avello, a burgeoning dubstep producer known for modern-day remixes that feel like a step back into the 2010s, and Juelz, a West Coast artist known for his energetic trap beats. Then on Saturday, he brought out pink-haired Brooklyn local Blossom for a playful DnB set, followed by the international icon TroyBoi, who incorporates sounds from his Indian background into a booty-shaking bass-forward set.

My favorite moment from the weekend shows was on Saturday when Subtronics made the time to play out O.P.U.S. in its entirety, including the meaningful spoken-word intro. It’s the opening track to his debut album Fractals, and it means a lot to someone very close to me. It is not such a popular track that it makes it into every set, so when he does play it at a show, I feel a special sense of satisfaction.

Another highlight of the weekend was Subtronics’ debut of his new ID “Eyes Cut Deeper,” which captivated the crowd, especially during his encore on Night 2. Lasers flying all around, lyrics shining on the gargantuan LED board, and 5000 fans living their best life dancing to a song we got to hear first is a memory I will not soon forget.

There’s still plenty of time to create new memories of your own as Subtronics winds down his Fibonacci Tour. If you’re lucky, there still might be limited tickets available for the last few stops, including two shows in Philadelphia for the first weekend of March, and then single nights in St. Louis, Kansas City, Austin, and Boston to close out this phase of the tour.

Fear not, if you can’t make it out to one of his tour stops, because Subtronics will feature in a handful of festivals this year, including Coachella in April and Moon Lvnding favorite Elements Music & Arts Festival in his home state of Pennsylvania in August. Subtronics also has seven shows scheduled for his Las Vegas residency at Encore Beach Club, and the debut of a two-day Griztronics event at The Gorge in Washington for Memorial Day Weekend. Finally, there are a few Cyclops-branded events: two days of Cyclops Rocks VI in Colorado, Cyclops Island in Hawaii, and the three-day dubstep extravaganza Cyclops Cove in Florida over the first weekend of December.

2026 is shaping up to be another huge year for Subtronics, so if you want to get in on the action, check out the ticketing section on his website for all the latest info. Of course, you can keep up with everything Subtronics related using the handy social media links below.

John Summit Shuts Down Bird’s Nest In Sold-Out Show

John Summit took the stage on Saturday, February 7 for an amazing sold-out show at the Coors Light Bird’s Nest following the Phoenix Open. This marked the first time in years that a DJ sold out general admission at the Bird’s Nest. Summit recently released his new track, “Lights Go Out,” with a music video that quickly captured viewers’ attention. The video is a nod to his life before music stardom. Summit worked as an accountant before his rise to fame, thus the video takes place in office cubicles with employees dancing under strobe lights and throwing papers in the air.

Summit also hosted a competition where producers could remix his new song for a chance to have him play it live. Up-and-coming producer Dennet won the competition with a bass-heavy remix of the hit track. Summit opened his show with this remix, making the crowd go wild. He later closed the show with a short snippet of the original version of the song.

BUNT opened for John Summit and later took the stage at Maya Dayclub in Scottsdale following his Bird’s Nest performance. After BUNT, DJ Silver performed and incorporated some of John Summit’s hit songs into his set.

During his performance, Summit played one of his iconic remixes of “Die Young” by Kesha, transporting the audience back to 2012, as well as his remix of “Where Have You Been?” by Rihanna featuring Wooli. He also included his remixes of “Sweet Disposition” and “Silence,” which kept the energy high.

Summit performed his new song “Shadows” featuring LAVINIA, which was recently released on Wednesday, February 11. He announced that he will be releasing a new song from his upcoming album every other Wednesday before performing the entire album live during his closing set at Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park in Miami on March 29. Summit revealed that when he was working as an accountant, Wednesdays were the most difficult day of the week to get through. He chose to release new music on Wednesdays to help brighten everyone’s day and help fans push through the middle of the work week.

You can check out Summit’s new releases as well as his new music video below. Don’t forget to click the link below to purchase tickets to see his Summit’s at Ultra, where you can witness his new album performed live for the first time ever.

This edition of Deadrocks will feature new stage production, carefully curated support lineups, and immersive fan experiences celebrating over a decade of Zeds Dead. Stacked with a lineup curated by Zeds Dead and the Deadbeats label, fans can participate in lawn games, a hot dog eating contest, and peruse the vendor village while munching on some BBQ. If this event doesn’t scream “4th of July for bassheads,” I don’t know what does.

After selling out the last 11 years of Deadrocks, fans are encouraged to grab their tickets as soon as possible. For the first time, Zeds Dead is offering bundled packages to those attending both Deadrocks and the Jamboree, which will be the lowest-priced ticket available for both events. Jungle Bells 2025: Atlanta’s Two-Night DnB Takeover

In a city known as the capital of hip-hop, MJ Lee and Brandon Courturier have carved out a unique lane in the Atlanta music scene, leading the charge in promoting Drum and Bass (DnB) culture across the states. What started as grassroots marketing and DIY promo between two lifelong friends in the late 90s became the foundation for Jungle Bells LLC, now one of North America’s longest-running and most respected DnB event series.

After an insane turnout in 2024 for Jungle Bells, their annual winter festival, it is levelling up to a two-night takeover on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 at The Masquerade. One thing that makes this festival so special is its global pull, because both fans and artists travel from all over the world to be part of it. Most of the artists on the lineup come from outside the U.S., and with four stages and 70 artists, this year’s festival is expected to draw an even bigger international crowd. With only a week to go, it is time to lock in tickets. Let’s check out the full lineup and the official after parties.

Friday kicks off the weekend with a bang as headliner Rudimental takes the stage. Hailing from East London, the trio of Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, and Leon “Locksmith” Rolle stands out as one of the UK’s most successful dance acts. They are also currently on a limited North American tour.

Joining Rudimental is a stacked lineup. Buunshin brings his signature sound, going from self-made producer to releasing on some of the biggest labels in dance music. Circadian, the solo project of Chris Garvey (formerly of The Prototypes), delivers a heavy, polished set. Critical Sound System features Kasra, founder of Critical Music, alongside Enei, a major force in the underground DnB scene. Monrroe comes in with a darker, deeper, techy evolution of his earlier liquid style. Mozey represents Essex with some of the most prolific jump-up tracks in the scene, while SOTA brings a high-energy take on modern jump-up. Visages, a four-piece collective from Toulouse, blends atmospheric, soulful DnB with deep dub textures.

Rounding out the bill is 360 Degrees, a Mississippi-based junglist; DJ Wednesday, a jungle DJ and label owner behind Wednesday Afternoon Recordings in Phoenix; Kadilak, a long-time member of respected U.S. DnB crew Torque who blends everything from jungle to liquid to neuro; and Atlanta’s own Subconscious BSC, a founding member of the Bad Seed Creations DJ and MC collective.

Saturday keeps the momentum going with two massive headliners. Bou, one of Manchester’s biggest stars in modern DnB, brings his signature energetic vibes. Kings of the Rollers – Serum, Voltage, Bladerunner, and Inja – headline with their blend of classic jungle and modern DnB.

They’re joined by an impressive lineup, including AEON:MODE, the Australian-born producer also known as BLANKE, who brings a heavy, futuristic sound. Andromedik adds his melodic and innovative take on liquid DnB, with Armani Reign, one of the most genre-defying MCs in the scene. Basstripper represents Belgium with his jump-up style, and B-complex brings her atmospheric, emotional production. Born On Road, the Bristol-based label and collective, brings deep roots in the jungle underground. Danny Byrd continues his legacy of soulful, melodic tracks with hip-hop and R&B influences, and Dillinja delivers the raw, iconic basslines that helped shape DnB.

DJ SS goes b2b with Roni Size for a true show from two classic pioneers of the genre. Fred V brings his euphoric, melodic sound with Japanese-Canadian DJ and social media influencer, Koji Aiken. LSB and DRS deliver a seamless mix of soulful liquid production matched with DRS’s unmistakable style as an MC. Mandidextrous brings their high-energy blend of jungle-tek and speed bass and stands as a powerful voice for queer and trans representation in the community. Muzz fuses DnB with industrial rock, Oktae blends everything from 140 to grime to rollers with standout vocals of her own, Substance delivers deeper, darker textures, and Venjent brings a message of self-love with a modern DnB sound.

The day also features a strong roster of supporting artists. Bad Syntax, owner of Abducted Records and Abducted LTD, comes in from Los Angeles. Casper and Crooked Passage represent Atlanta’s rising DnB talent. D:RC brings his own style to the decks, and Demotank is an Atlanta-based DnB DJ and collective. DJ Circle K, co-founder and resident of Torque, showcases a broad range of DnB subgenres from liquid funk to neuro. DRBBLZ uses neuro, techstep, and funky styles, while LEE UHF brings UK vibes from Birmingham. Null, OL SKEE, Platez, SHIX, and SNAX all represent Atlanta’s homegrown DnB community with everything from UKG blends to high-energy multi-genre sets. Rounding out the lineup is Zak Meow, quickly becoming a name to watch for his fusion of traditional and modern DnB elements.

Doors close at Jungle Bells at 3 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday, but the party doesn’t end there; the late-night afters kick into full effect. Running from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. at a soon-to-be-announced secret location near the Masquerade, the afters will host multiple stacked sets.

Friday features Roni Size, Circadian, Delamota, Metapattern, Runna, Klutch, DJCriticalMass, and GreenElixr. Saturday closes out the weekend with Muzz, Monrroe, This Is Inja, Dave Shichman, Kinfok, Thomas B, Ricky, Fallstreak, Uproot The Fiasco x Melinda, and RVMP.

One thing is for sure – if you’re a DnB lover, this is an event you do not want to miss. For those travelling from out of town, The Cortland Grand Hotel has partnered with Jungle Bells this year and is within walking distance of the venue. Use this link to book your discounted stay for $99 per night for December 11 – 14.

Mersiv Making Waves On Audiosphere Tour

Champion of Pretty Dark Loud music, Mersiv has been on a roll in 2025! On April 4, he released his new seven-track album 444 to widespread fan support. April 4 was also the day of his Attack On Mars Red Rocks show, where he debuted the Audiosphere. The Audiosphere is a collaborative project with AKA Event Production to create an immersive audio experience that surrounds the venue with 360 sounds using an array of speakers. For a more detailed description of the tech, check out Mersiv’s reel.

Lucky for Mersiv fans, he was able to adapt the same Audiosphere technology used at Red Rocks for a North American tour this fall. With two shows already in the books, Mersiv is back on the road this Friday, November 14 in Minneapolis and on November 15 in Chicago. After this weekend, he’s still got another eight tour dates over the next six weekends through December 20.

Moon Lvnding was privileged to attend his Audiosphere Tour debut in Brooklyn to check out the innovative sound technology and talented bass artists. The support for Mersiv’s show at Industry City was outstanding!

Mystic Methods was a new name for me, and I was quite impressed by the duo’s performance. They each wore neon light masks with slightly different designs and humorously held up a dry-erase board with messages throughout the set. People were engaged and getting down. The good vibes continued with Dennett, fresh off a stacked summer festival run. He played a good mix of originals, remixes, and dubstep classics to keep the crowd moving.

As the main attraction, Mersiv shone brightly. His new tunes from the 444 album sounded great incorporated into the new set. “Dawn” really stood out for me. Even more eye-catching was how the lighting visuals were incorporated into the 360 speaker setup for the Audiosphere. With a view from the elevated green room, one could clearly see waves of color changing all around the venue as Mersiv and the lighting tech used the dynamic 360 setup.

The sound, on the other hand, was a bit hit or miss depending on your spot in the Audiosphere. While the event space had an eight-speaker array setup fully around the venue, the space was more rectangular than square. There were spots with great sound from either side of the room, giving that full surround sound experience as was intended. But toward the sides, the sound felt a bit imbalanced. All that being said, The Audiosphere Tour has an innovative new sound design that creates a fun live show. I’m sure with more time and experience deploying the sound technology, the sound quality and production will improve even more.

With all the tour stuff going on, Mersiv still had time to make literal waves while on board EDSEA this November. From what he shared on social media, it sounds like he had a great time performing at Insomniac’s EDM cruise event. Then, once the tour wraps up, Mersiv has a few dates booked to ring in the new year, including a performance at Eternal NYE in Orlando on December 30 and To The Future NYE in Nashville on December 31. To keep up with all the latest announcements and new music from Mersiv, be sure to check him out on his socials below.

Cool Customer Unveils New EP ‘Thank You For Holding’

After teasing fans with two new releases, “The MF” and “Peppermint,” at the beginning of October, fans have been anxious for another full project from Cool Customer. Well, he just delivered his new EP, Thank You For Holding. With five tracks, including the two singles, the EP showcases Cool Customer’s signature groovy, glitch-hop vibe as a pioneer in experimental bass. Blending distorted textures, nostalgic flips, and hip-hop influence, the project brings out the core of Cool Customer’s style: a mix of weird and heavy, of playful and precise.

I can’t wait to release this one,” said Cool Customer. “It’s been a while since I’ve shared an extended body of work, and creating this five-track EP was an extremely challenging and personal journey. I included some brand-new songs, plus a few tunes from both of my ‘Customer Service’ mixes. This one really means a lot to me.

The EP opens with “Say What,” a glitchy experimental bass track with a groovy bassline and a fun sample that drops in an old instruction manual video. “The MF” comes next with a chill, groovy intro that flips into a hard-hitting drop with the “The MF” lyric before settling into a more atmospheric ending. “Peppermint” leans into a heavier sound with layered distortion and an ending that feels almost sinister, especially with the peppermint patty sample mixed in.

“Hunky Dory” brings in another heavy bass cut made to get the dance floor moving weirdly. The final track, the EP’s namesake, brings a more upbeat vibe and closes the project in a way that feels complete and satisfying.

Thank You For Holding arrives on the heels of two huge moments in his career, including supporting Tape B’s debut at Red Rocks in October and making his own debut at Griz’s sold-out Seven Stars Festival. He will also join tour dates on national tours for Tape B and OPIUO through the end of 2025.

Fans can catch the new EP live as Cool Customer heads out for a fall run of shows. He will hit Roadrunner in Boston on November 14, Believe Music Hall in Atlanta on December 6, The Warfield in San Francisco on December 12, BSideLA in Los Angeles on December 13, and Eternal NYE in Orlando on December 31. To stay updated on new music, tour info, and everything he has coming next, make sure to follow Cool Customer on all socials below.

Important Information to Know

The toll and box office hours run Tuesday (2:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.), Wednesday through Saturday (8:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m.), and Sunday (8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.). If you need to pick up your tickets, plan your arrival accordingly. Venue gates open at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

When you arrive at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, be ready to show your signed SOSMP park waiver. It is required for entry this year. Once you are in, there are medical and security teams stationed throughout the grounds to help if anything comes up. If you experience an emergency on-site, call 734-707-9440 for immediate assistance.

Like previous years’ bag policies, large bags must be clear. Smaller ones such as drawstring bags, hydration packs, and fanny packs do not have to be see-through. You can also bring one factory-sealed water bottle or an empty refillable bottle up to one gallon. This will make staying hydrated easy all weekend.

For those flying into the Jacksonville International Airport, do not forget to book your shuttle ahead of time. There are both one-way and round-trip options available, with shuttles leaving Jacksonville for Hula at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and returning from Hula to Jacksonville at 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m..

Lastly, let’s talk weather because it is looking like it will be an amazing weekend! Expect sunny skies with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and chilly nights in the 40s and 50s. Pack your sweatshirts and sweatpants for those late-night sets. Bring a few cozy blankets for when you are back at camp, and you will be all set.

As the Spirit of the Suwannee comes alive once again, Hulaween 2025 is shaping up to be another unforgettable weekend of music, art, and magic. Whether you are there for the late-night sets, the mesmerizing art at Spirit Lake, or the community that makes this festival feel like home, one thing is certain: this is where memories are made. Get ready to dance through the weird and wonderful world of Hulaween!

Get To Know Future Joy Before Hulaween 2025

Another day closer to Hulaween 2025, and another artist you can’t miss: Future Joy. The DJ power couple, Emily Cooper and Zach Simms, are bringing their vibrant, high-energy sets to Suwannee Music Park this weekend. Returning for their fifth Hula performance, this year’s set marks their debut on the fan-favorite Amphitheater Stage, where fans can catch them at 4:45 PM on Thursday. They’re unveiling a Toy Story theme this time around, inviting fans to get creative with costumes and join the adventure.

Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida and Denver, Colorado, Future Joy blends elements of house, funk, drum and bass, jazz, and more with their signature vocals and live instrumentation. Both Cooper and Simms play keys, sing, and DJ, while Simms brings extra funk with tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones. Known for getting the dance floor moving and building genuine connections through music and joy, Future Joy is quickly becoming the soundtrack to elevating both mind and soul.

Future Joy has been on a festival roll, performing at some of the most iconic events across the country. Apart from Hulaween, they’ve taken the stage at Bonnaroo, Joshua Tree, Treefort, Elements, Secret Dreams, Resonate, and more. The duo has also played direct support for artists like Manic Focus, BoomBox, Sunsquabi, The Polish Ambassador, Moon Hooch, and Marvel Years, among others.

To wrap up the summer, they released their debut full-length studio album “NOW” in July, a 13-track journey that reflects their deep love and musical connection as they travel the country performing from their RV. Having recently tied the knot at Joyful Festival in February, that raw emotional energy shines through, giving the album an intimate and heartfelt touch. At its core, “NOW” is also a celebration of living fully in the present moment, capturing the joy, spontaneity, and gratitude that define both their music and their lives.

We can’t wait to catch Future Joy’s signature sax-infused energy at Hulaween this weekend! See you at their set on Thursday, October 30, at 4:45 PM on The Amphitheater Stage.

If you can’t get enough after Suwannee, the music doesn’t stop there! The duo will keep the vibes rolling with upcoming shows at Asheville Music Hall on December 31, Animas City Theatre in Durango, CO on January 17, Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO on January 18, Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station on January 23, and Joyful 2026 in St. Petersburg, FL on January 31.
