An ode to a fallen best friend, the late other half of the once-duo group, SkyDisc channels emotion and pain into a fiery new single, “Coming Down.” Featuring acclaimed Dutch vocalist RIENK, “Coming Down” pays tribute to the late Colby Riggs in true SkyDisc fashion. Set to land on the upcoming RIOT Records Uprising: Vol 10 compilation, this high-energy release fuses emotional vocals with cinematic, bass-driven production.
Opening with a delicate arrangement of piano chords coupled with RIENK’s powerful vocal abilities, SkyDisc’s loss and grief come pouring through the opening section of the track. Embodying the youthful spirit of his late friend, it’s not until the first minute mark or so that his signature DnB roots shine through. The first drop is so sick, delivering a bouncy, groove-filled beat with big, raspy, commanding synths. This portion is sure to send the crowd into a frenzy.
“I Need You When I’m Coming Down“
After a big, reverby, grinding halt, a haunting interlude occurs in the middle of the track. RIENK’s ghostly vocals fade in and out. Back into the second drop, this second half is a bit different than the first. Using that same commanding synth arrangement, it has almost a heart-thumping club beat at first. Diving back into that grove-filled drum and bass back beat, the euphoric synths really help drive this one home.
I also love the textures of the animatronic noises that sound like they’re grinding to a halt, which are peppered in the background. The deliberate texturing always adds just a little bit more grit to the track if you ask me. As the song nears its end, RIENK’s shadowy vocals, coupled with SkyDisc’s celestial piano chords, carefully glide this emotional roller coaster to an elegant stop as the final notes ring out. Following the release of their highly acclaimed album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, the iconic duo, Zeds Dead, returns with another groundbreaking track, “Runaway,” incorporating elements of DnB and future bass. Marking their first release of 2026, they have collaborated with IMANU and vocalist MKLA to create a single that is both dynamic and emotionally charged.
“Runaway” begins with an ethereal yet heavy drop fused with MKLA’s airy, emotional vocals before launching into an adrenaline-fueled second drop that showcases IMANU’s cutting-edge DnB skills. Bridging the two producers’ differing styles, MKLA’s vocals serve as an anchor for the track, creating a timeless sound poised to dominate sets across the electronic circuit in the coming year.
This track follows a career-defining year for Zeds Dead after releasing Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, further cementing their legacy as boundary-defying electronic visionaries. Having spent the last decade carving out their own space within the industry, Zeds Dead are on a roll that seemingly cannot be stopped. They recently sold out their 12th annual Deadrocks event at Colorado’s most iconic venue, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, showcasing their dominance in the industry and unwavering fanbase.
ZEDS DEAD
With a career dating back to 2009, Zeds Dead released their debut album Northern Lights in 2016, and immediately fans knew they were curating something special. That same year, they launched their Deadbeats label, which continues to stand as one of the leading independent labels in dance music. With over 300 releases featuring artists such as REZZ, Subtronics, GRiZ, Levity, and Zeds Dead themselves, it’s clear they remain among the strongest tastemakers in the game right now.
For IMANU, formerly known as Signal, this release follows a series of major creative milestones, including headlining his De Verte showcase in collaboration with Mixmag LAB during ADE this past October. Known for his experimental sound design and genre-defying production, IMANU has earned over 100 million streams across platforms, with collaborations alongside Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and Noisia. Continuing to expand his De Verte events, he is set to embark on a tour across Asia and has also branched into the fashion world with his sustainable brand, 14SAINTDENIS.
In a city known as the capital of hip-hop, MJ Lee and Brandon Courturier have carved out a unique lane in the Atlanta music scene, leading the charge in promoting Drum and Bass (DnB) culture across the states. What started as grassroots marketing and DIY promo between two lifelong friends in the late 90s became the foundation for Jungle Bells LLC, now one of North America’s longest-running and most respected DnB event series.
After an insane turnout in 2024 for Jungle Bells, their annual winter festival, it is levelling up to a two-night takeover on Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13 at The Masquerade. One thing that makes this festival so special is its global pull, because both fans and artists travel from all over the world to be part of it. Most of the artists on the lineup come from outside the U.S., and with four stages and 70 artists, this year’s festival is expected to draw an even bigger international crowd. With only a week to go, it is time to lock in tickets. Let’s check out the full lineup and the official after parties.
Friday kicks off the weekend with a bang as headliner Rudimental takes the stage. Hailing from East London, the trio of Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden, and Leon “Locksmith” Rolle stands out as one of the UK’s most successful dance acts. They are also currently on a limited North American tour.
Joining Rudimental is a stacked lineup. Buunshin brings his signature sound, going from self-made producer to releasing on some of the biggest labels in dance music. Circadian, the solo project of Chris Garvey (formerly of The Prototypes), delivers a heavy, polished set. Critical Sound System features Kasra, founder of Critical Music, alongside Enei, a major force in the underground DnB scene. Saturday keeps the momentum going with two massive headliners. Bou, one of Manchester’s biggest stars in modern DnB, brings his signature energetic vibes. Kings of the Rollers – Serum, Voltage, Bladerunner, and Inja – headline with their blend of classic jungle and modern DnB.
They’re joined by an impressive lineup, including AEON:MODE, the Australian-born producer also known as BLANKE, who brings a heavy, futuristic sound. Andromedik adds his melodic and innovative take on liquid DnB, with Armani Reign, one of the most genre-defying MCs in the scene. Basstripper represents Belgium with his jump-up style, and B-complex brings her atmospheric, emotional production. Born On Road, the Bristol-based label and collective, brings deep roots in the jungle underground. Danny Byrd continues his legacy of soulful, melodic tracks with hip-hop and R&B influences, and Dillinja delivers the raw, iconic basslines that helped shape DnB.
DJ SS goes b2b with Roni Size for a true show from two classic pioneers of the genre. Fred V brings his euphoric, melodic sound with Japanese-Canadian DJ and social media influencer, Koji Aiken. LSB and DRS deliver a seamless mix of soulful liquid production matched with DRS’s unmistakable style as an MC. Muzz fuses DnB with industrial rock, Oktae blends everything from 140 to grime to rollers with standout vocals of her own, Substance delivers deeper, darker textures, and Venjent brings a message of self-love with a modern DnB sound.
The day also features a strong roster of supporting artists. Bad Syntax, owner of Abducted Records and Abducted LTD, comes in from Los Angeles. Rounding out the lineup is Zak Meow, quickly becoming a name to watch for his fusion of traditional and modern DnB elements.

Wednesday
The Wednesday early arrival party is stacked with talent and makes me lament that I couldn’t squeeze another day off work to make it happen. Those fortunate to make it to Legend Valley for the first day of festivities, look out for a bit of a Wompy Woods 2023 reunion when Trivecta and Kill The Noise grace the stage. This time around, Bro Safari is joining in the fun for a coveted Kill Safari set. Capochino is another name to keep an eye on who’s been crushing it this festival season, and Super Future always brings the vibes to get the party started.

Finally, Deadroom and Stumpi might not be household names, but that’s because they are the alter-ego side projects of Svdden Death and Wooli, respectively.
With tickets over 97% sold out, there is precious little time to waste before Lost Lands gets started in less than a month. The early arrival events start on Wednesday, September 17, and the main event begins on Friday, September 19.
