Monday Musings – March 3, 2025

We’re back with more Moon Lvnding Monday Musings, a place to highlight the EDM news, tours, albums, and events that captured our attention. There is so much incredible music building up in my inbox I need to share it with you.

Albums & Tours

Top of the list is one of my all-time favorite OG dubstep producers — Rusko. Last Friday, February 28, Rusko released 1 Man Army, his first solo EP in over two years. The 5-track EP dropped via Monstercat and unleashed three fresh tunes along with the two previously released singles.

Rusko will be on tour for his new EP, so check out the tour poster to see if he’s coming to a city near you. Moon Lvnding is excited to cover Rusko’s show at The Brooklyn Monarch, one of the borough’s best bass venues.

Grabbitz is another standout artist who grabbed headlines last week with a new album. Big Epic Nothing was released on Grabbitz’s label imprint Blue Butterfly Records. With 11 songs, the album highlights Grabbitz’s powerful vocals and ability to meld EDM with rock influences.

This album is a reflection of everything I’ve been through — musically and personally. It’s my story of finding beauty in chaos and creating meaning from emptiness,” Grabbitz shares. Grabbitz is currently on tour with Sullivan King through April 2025, so keep an eye on his socials for announcements about his plans for the rest of the year.

Standout Singles

Back on February 13, GHENGAR, the alter-ego of DJ/producer Ghastly, released a chilling new single “HELP MEEEE!!!” on his label Haunted Haus Collective. GHENGAR explains, “It fuses the high-energy spirit of video games with the raw power of heavy bass, delivering a dynamic blend of intensity and playfulness. With its meticulously crafted sound design, the track builds a vivid sonic universe where dubstep and gaming collide in perfect harmony.”

Ghastly and GHENGAR embody a unique duality, traversing the spectrum of electronic music, from Ghastly’s signature melodic sound to GHENGAR’s aggressive bass production. Fans can experience the debut performance of Ghastly vs. GHENGAR for a special two-night doubleheader on June 27 + 28 at The Observatory in Orange County.

Finally, Wax Motif teamed up with Truth x Lies for the new single “Choose Violence,” which was released on February 21 via Wax Motif’s Divided Souls Records. The track is club-ready with pounding kicks, warped synths, and a hypnotic vocal loop. “We started this track last year when we were on tour together and it started getting really good reactions,” Wax Motif shared. “When I opened with it at Hard Summer, I really saw it go off and told the boys, ‘We gotta finish this one ASAP.’

I hope you enjoyed our quick-hitting format of EDM stories. We’ll be back soon with our next edition of Monday Musings. In the meantime, if you have any news or events you’d like us to feature next time, let us know with a comment on our socials.

Super Future Drops ‘Augmented Duality: Vol. 1’

Super Future has been winning the hearts of EDM fans worldwide with his unique sound, blending ethereal downtempo with experimental bass and trap. As he enters the second half of his Augmented Duality Tour, he has officially released his new 2-track EP, Augmented Duality: Vol. 1. The tracks “The Way It Feels” and “Aha” perfectly encapsulate Super Future’s signature style, seamlessly melding downtempo vibes with bass-heavy energy.

Super Future describes the first track, “The Way It Feels,” as “suuuuper sexy” and there’s no argument here. This track perfectly showcases his downtempo expertise, blending atmospheric bass beats with dreamy vocals that repeat, “I like the way it feels with your hands on me.” The result is an irresistible groove, perfect for the dancefloor.

The second track, “AHA,” highlights a different side of Super Future, packed with experimental and wonky bass. Though it’s the shorter of the two, there’s no doubt this track will be a festival favorite and club staple throughout 2025.

This new 2-track EP marks the beginning of a series I’ll be adding to over the course of the next few years,” said Super Future. “My current favorite thing is the opposing and balanced sounds of bass and downtempo music, just like my current tour containing both! The hype and experimental fun of ‘AHA’ completely balanced out by the suuuuper sexy and beautiful downtempo track, ‘The Way It Feels.’ I love the tension that both bring, and people can expect more of these installments with more than 2 tracks down the road as independent releases. It’s been really fun sharing 2 opposing sides of me as sets on tour right now, and here’s the music that will start accompanying that special type of tour every time I do it. Rare and special.

Super Future is hitting the road with a string of electrifying tour dates across the States! He starts March with a stop in Las Vegas at Area15 before heading to Columbus, OH, and Grand Rapids, MI. He finishes his Phase 2 run on tour with a doubleheader at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, CO on March 14 + 15. Versa EP Marks Dubstep Debut For Beat Intelligence Network

After celebrating five years of citing hot new music on Dubstep FBI, it launched a new music label, Beat Intelligence Network (BIN). For its debut release, BIN features an electrifying debut EP from renowned dubstep artist Versa. This hard-hitting release features two tracks, “Another Yoi Song” and its VIP, setting the tone for BIN’s mission to push the boundaries of bass music while preserving its raw, high-energy roots.

“For as long as I’ve been producing,” said Versa, “I have wanted to make a track that sounds like a group of Yoi basses singing together. ‘Another Yoi Song’ is a collection of my favorite Yoi’s layered together, playing a little tune. After playing it out live a couple of times, I decided to make a higher energy version using the original idea as a fake-out and that is how the VIP happened.”

“Another Yoi Song” immediately dives into a gritty bassline with sharp snares and hi-hats, leading into a seismic drop designed for pure headbanging mayhem. The VIP takes the chaos up a notch, intensifying the track with rapid chops, piercing laser synths, and electrifying robotic energy that’s ready to fuel the dancefloor.

Yoi bass, which originated in drum & bass before becoming a core element of dubstep and riddim, is known for its distinct, vocal-like modulation achieved through precise synth and filter manipulation — an effect Versa masterfully executes in both versions, pushing the limits of heavy bass music.

The collaboration between Versa and Dubstep FBI is nothing new, as they have previously teamed up to curate and amplify his sets at festivals like Forbidden Kingdom, EDC Mexico, and Rampage Open Air. Originally launched as a content hub, Dubstep FBI has broken barriers in the electronic scene through major festival takeovers, high-impact editorial coverage, and a strong network of industry tastemakers. Now, with the launch of BIN, they are expanding their influence by providing a platform for artists to showcase their hard-hitting sound, with Versa leading the charge through the release of “Another Yoi Song.”

“Versa has been one of the most recognizable artists featured on our blog for years now,” said Dubstep FBI. “His music originally caught our ears, but since we got to know him and his team better, we have all become good friends.

“We will never forget our memories in Mexico and Belgium,” Dubstep FBI continues. “Where we grew closer and celebrated some of his most iconic career sets. From late-night festival moments to behind-the-scenes laughs, Versa has always carried himself with a level of authenticity and passion that makes him stand out.”

Versa is set to bring his high-energy performances to the Beat Intelligence Network Club Studio Time launch party on March 7, marking a pivotal moment for the new label. Additionally, he will take the stage at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 17, joining ATLiens for a massive night of bass-fueled mayhem. Ravenscoon Sells-Out Mission Ballroom for Biggest Headline Yet

Ravenscoon officially sold out his biggest headline show he’s ever put on calling it “a journey through his taste in dubstep.” On 2/22 Ravenscoon, a.k.a. Paul Conversano, is gearing up to unleash pure mayhem at Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. The show comes fresh off the release of his latest album, Glass Orchid, a project that showcases his boundless creativity and deep-rooted passion for bass music. Glass Orchid is a sonic journey through emotional highs, bone-crushing drops, and intricate sound design that pushes the limits of what dubstep can be.

Paul has continuously opened up about what this show means to him in writing,

“When I first started DJing, I had no intentions of ever doing this as a career, as anything more than a hobby honestly – I was just messing around and having fun,” he admitted. “Denver was always my beacon though – I played my first ever show there in 2018, headlining ‘Your Mom’s House.’ I’ve since played Black Box, Cervantes Other Side, Ogden, Mission, and Red Rocks. To come back and headline Mission blows my mind.”

With Mission 222, Ravenscoon is cranking his dream into hyperdrive. This event isn’t just another stop on the tour—it’s the ultimate culmination of his vision. It all takes place in a city that’s been a crucial part of his journey. The night’s roster is a showcase of dubstep’s past, present, and future, a carefully plotted rollercoaster of face-melting bass. Bringing together a meticulously selected lineup, Paul is curating a night that highlights dubstep’s evolution. The support features names such as:

Manic Focus – “An absolute legend in both dubstep & electro-funk. His set will be a high-voltage adrenaline rush before I take over.”

Youngsta b2b Criso – “This is pure madness. Youngsta helped birth dubstep in the UK, while Criso is one of the hottest modern producers out there. Old-school UK clashes with new-school US. Expect mayhem.

Crizzly – “A dubstep OG for over a decade… Get ready for pure chaos when he hits the decks.

Fryar – “One of my favorite producers for years… He rarely plays live, so this is a RARE treat.

Basically he wanted this lineup to be a wild ride through his favorite sounds in dubstep. Something that keeps the energy at its absolute peak throughout the night. However, this show isn’t just about the music—it’s about the full experience. The design was curated down to the last detail of every. single. moment. The Glass Orchid project is Paul’s most personal and experimental one yet. It was a true full-circle moment, blending pieces of the album with his classic sounds and brand-new, unreleased material. While general admission for the event sold out, a few VIP tickets remain.

Buckle up because Mission 222 is shaping up to be an event that will go down in the books! Use the links below to stay up to date with everything Ravenscoon has going on.
