Deep Tropics, Nashville’s premier EDM festival, released the second phase of its stacked lineup. Building on the excitement of its Phase 1 lineup — including the talents of Kaskade (Redux), RL Grime, Sofi Tukker, Peekaboo, Tape B, Zingara, and Nora En Pure — this year’s festival promises an immersive experience blending music, community, and sustainability.

Deep Tropic’s largest stage, Meru, embodies the essence of house music, with performances from Elderbrook, Cassian, Maloné, Marsh, Calussa, Airrica, Sintra, Subrinse, and Ysheso_. The Lotus Stage is set to transcend fans of bass and rhythmic beats through sets from Cool Customer, Memba, Taiki Nulight, Rohaan, Yoko, Soohan, Canvas, DJ Morphonic, Kenopsia, and Valleria. Lastly, the Congo Soundsytem stage will feature Hiroko Yamamura and special guests, He.She.They., DJ Dainty, Matt Caines and more.

Aside from music, at the Deep Culture Amphitheater Experience, attendees can engage in immersive experiences that foster a sense of community and connection, including meditation, yoga, and sound healing. Recognized as “the greenest festival in North America,” Deep Tropics will feature a Sustainability Summit on August 15, stimulating profound discussions on topics ranging from regenerative agriculture and sustainable fashion to renewable energy and holistic wellness practices

“Picture immersive workshops, thought-provoking panels, and captivating talks on regenerative agriculture, sustainable fashion, renewable energy, and holistic wellness practices,” said Joel Atchison. “Within our event, festivalgoers will discover activities dedicated to rejuvenation and self-care, offering yoga, meditation, sound healing, and holistic modalities designed to replenish mind, body, and soul. Deep Tropics is more than a festival — it builds a bridge between party and purpose. It’s a vibrant expression of community, connection, and a commitment to the health of our planet through an immersive celebration of dance music culture.”

Deep Tropics will be held at Bicentennial Park in Nashville on August 16 and 17. Tickets for general admission, plus and platinum are currently available. For those wanting to contribute to its nonprofit, Deep Culture, by purchasing the Eco Band option, the organization plants ten fruit-bearing trees in Tanzania, donates $2.50 to Tennessee River Keeper, and donates $2.50 to the R.A.N.C.H Project in Summertown, TN. The Eco Band also receives a Deep Culture Hemp Wristband, a 10% merch discount, one pocket ashtray/keeper pouch, one reusable utensil set, and more. 4 Camp EDC Must-Haves

The sun is shining brighter and nights are getting longer—festival season is finally here!

Camping festivals are an experience like none other. That being said, they do require more preparation than your typical festival. Anyone spending 3+ days camping will need to have the standard camping essentials like bedding, toiletries, and swimsuits to have a pleasant time. We’ve put together some must-haves that you might not find on a traditional camping checklist to ensure a memorable Camp EDC filled with laughter instead of disaster.

1. A Wagon

Bringing items from your car to any campsite is stressful enough. Now imagine there is a long, frustrating gravel road separating the parking lot from the campsite… and the temperature is in the 90’s! A wagon will make transporting everything SO much easier!

2. Water, Water, and You Guessed It—More Water

Hydration is pivotal for a fun and successful time at EDC. This festival is not for the weak—it is three days of music from sunset to sunrise. For four days, you will be doing a lot of walking, dancing, and making memories, just remember that EDC is a marathon. Dehydrated and overheated is not a fun combo for anyone!

Bring extra cases of water, reusable water bottles, and your hydration packs to make full use of the refill stations all over the campgrounds. Your future self will thank you for hydrating. Don’t forget hydration boosters such as Pedialyte and Gatorade!

3. A Lil Snacky Snack

Like having extra water, your future self will be grateful for food. To keep the festivities going without any hiccups, it’s important to have enough food and snacks on deck to make at least one solid meal during the daytime. You unfortunately cannot keep going all weekend long on just a singular chicken tender and vibes. You’re at EDC—you’ve earned that little snacky snack!

4. Home Sweet Campsite

From Thursday afternoon to Monday morning, your campsite will be your home. Make it fun! Bring flags, LED lights, blow-up aliens, tapestries, or anything else that will spice up your campsite. Camp EDC is a blast! It’s a safe space where you can let loose, so don’t be afraid to make it yours! Walking past rows of creative campsites looking for your own adds a fun adventure to the walk home. Having identifiable campsite landmarks makes it significantly easier to find your campsite after a long night of dancing and helps when meeting up with other campers.

Some other items that will make your campsite homier are lawn chairs, a deck of cards (one was provided in your wristband box), red Solo cups, ping-pong balls, a table, or whatever else might help pass the time during the day. The different games can also help you make friends with your neighbors. Do what you have to do to make your campsite your home; remember to keep it PLUR!

EDC 2024 Tips & Tricks

EDC Las Vegas 2024 is finally here! The largest EDM festival in the US attracts a global audience, uniting fans under the electric sky for 3 days of raver bliss. Whether it’s your first EDC or your tenth, we have compiled some tips and tricks to maximize your experience.

Tip #1: Early Bird Gets The Worm 🪱

Get there early on Day 1 to explore everything EDC has to offer. Highly recommend this on Day 1 for a few reasons: Day 1 typically has longer lines both at will call and security. You will also be your freshest on Day 1, use that to your advantage. There are a lot of hidden gems within EDC that are easy to miss if you don’t arrive early and fresh enough to walk around. This is especially true this year as the updated layout is sure to bring new hidden villages, bars, and games.

Tip #2: Meet Up 📍

Always designate a meet-up spot and time. This one should be a go-to for all festivals but is especially necessary for EDC. For first-time attendees, the grounds of EDC can be daunting. When the sun is coming up and your phone is dead or you have no service, you’re going to need a place to reconvene with your squad. Select a landmark that is easy to find and decide on an exact time to meet up. We all love a solo side quest until it’s 6 AM and you’re trying to get home with a dead phone.

Tip #3: Views 🤩

This is a double tip. First, stay for at least one sunrise set—or all three if you’re crazy like me! There is something magical about watching the sunrise over Kinetic Field or Cosmetic Meadows that provokes goosebumps just thinking about it. Second tip, catch at least one night of fireworks from the bleachers. This one is sometimes harder to do because of what sets you want to see. However, just like the sunrise sets the fireworks from the bleachers give you the best view of the fireworks and EDC. It is an experience you will not forget.

Tip #4: Prep And Let Go 🧘‍♀️

Study the map, have a game plan for your favorite sets, and then… let go and enjoy your weekend! With the new layout this year everyone is going to be walking around like it’s their first time so make sure you study the map. Understand which stage you’ll frequent the most and map out your routes to and from each stage. EDC is an enormous festival so getting from one stage to another can take time. When it comes to sets, designate your must-see sets for the weekend but don’t stress about where you are and what sets you are or aren’t seeing. EDC is one of the biggest and best festivals in the world so no matter who you’re seeing, it’s going to be an amazing time. A carefree mindset is essential to a great experience. If your group doesn’t want to see your must-see set, designate a meet-up spot and go! On the flip side, go check out that artist your friends want to see if you don’t have a major schedule conflict. Time with friends is irreplaceable and you might stumble upon a new favorite!

Tip #5: Hydrate 💧

Last tip but the most important—remember to drink water throughout the night, eat food, and take care of everyone around you. Festival days can get hectic and people easily forget to take care of themselves. Fun times can turn into not-fun times quickly. EDC is a marathon but as long as you take care of yourself and look out for your friends it will be a blast!

EDC is home to ravers around the world and on May 17 we all return home. Take these tips with you into the weekend and have an amazing time under the electric sky!

Project GLOW 2024 Review: Insomniac Shines In DC

In the nation’s capital, Insomniac brought a fittingly diverse group of headliners together to enjoy Project Glow 2024. The RFK Festival Grounds hosted a talented assortment of artists and vendors for the 3rd annual event. It was Moon Lvnding’s debut attending the Northeast’s first big EDM fest of the spring season and we would happily return to this well-run event.

Although the weather did not cooperate on Day 1 with scattered showers looming overhead for much of the day, it didn’t keep us festivalgoers from having a good time. We couldn’t make it in time to catch Blossom, our featured performer for Saturday. But we did get to hear sets from Sultan + Shepard, Nora En Pure, Knock2, Rezz, Tinlicker, and Illenium. Knock2 and Illenium brought the bass to the Eternal Stage, while Nora En Pure and Tinlicker got the vibes right at the Pulse Stage.

The weather on Day 2 was marvelous with bright sunny skies. The warm weather reminded us all that the 2024 festival season is just getting started. Calussa, who recently released on Insomniac Records, got our Day 2 started on the Pulse Stage. Then Nostalgix and it’s murph got to play extended sets at the Eternal Stage to help fill in for San Pacho, who couldn’t make it due to transportation complications.

TroyBoi played my favorite set of the weekend just before sunset on Sunday afternoon, highlighted by a cameo from Toxic Rob for their collab hit “Dhunga.” TroyBoi also popped up at the Pulse Stage during the b2b set from Acraze and Wax Motif. Two Friends and Zedd ended our weekend with two more memorable sets at the Eternal Stage, showing why they are still at the top of their game.

Overall, Project Glow lived up to the lofty expectations for Insomniac events with its stage production, including pyrotechnics and fireworks. The layout of the festival grounds was easy to navigate, with the Secret Garden right by the festival entrance. The Pulse Stage was in the middle of the space and the Eternal Stage was on the far side, along with the vendors and water station. The well-appointed VIP section was set between the Eternal and Pulse Stages, allowing those attendees easy access to the front of those stages.

Transportation was a breeze to get in and out of the festival, with access to a Metrorail stop and ample parking lots around the grounds, so there was hardly any traffic. Insomniac also provided a thoughtful variety of food, beverage, and merchandise vendors for festivalgoers. The official merch booth offered artist items and branded Project Glow goodies like hoodies, pashminas, shirts, and a stylish tie-dyed lineup T-shirt that caught my eye.

All that said, Project Glow succeeded at providing the Northeast with an EDM festival to start the spring. The festival grounds had everything necessary for a fantastic experience and the talented lineup brought the vibes for 10 full hours each day. Moon Lvnding is already looking forward to Project Glow 2025! Connect with the festival team using the links below to keep up with all the latest announcements.
