Splash House Impresses With 2024 Lineup

Splash House’s poolside series is a summer staple for the thousands of dance music fans who flood Palm Springs to experience the annual festival. Its highly anticipated 2024 lineup has lived up to the hype. On August 9 – 11 and August 16 – 18, Splash House brings a diverse assortment of the hottest veterans and rising stars in house and techno music together for two weekends of pool parties at The Renaissance, Margaritaville, and Saguaro Hotels.

The announcement came with more exciting news of the organizers returning its famed double-weekend format to feature a mix of international music stars and emerging talent. Weekend 1 boasts performances from electronic powerhouse Alesso, dance legends Gorgon City b2b Green Velvet, French house maestro HUGEL, tech-house act Joshwa, and more. Other highlights include multi-instrumentalist TSHA, hit producer NITTI, and emerging stars Odd Mob & OMNOM presenting HYPERBEAM.

Weekend 2 features Night Bass head AC Slater, Italy’s MEDUZA, UK’s Patrick Topping, bass house icon Chris Lorenzo, the multitalented SG Lewis, and the ever-exciting Salvatore Ganacci. The lineup also includes Scottish duo LF System, the dynamic Dr. Fresch, acclaimed producer BIJOU, Scotland’s Ewan McVicar, the new duo girl math (NALA & VNSSA), and rising UK star Riordan.

Attendees can continue the party with the After Hours events at the Palm Springs Air Museum open-air venue. Weekend 1 will feature the Fly With Us project by AC Slater and Chris Lorenzo, along with Duke Dumont. Weekend Two will showcase global tech house sensation John Summit and Disco Dom, the disco alias of Dombresky. These performances will occur within the museum’s industrial hangars, offering a dance experience beneath vintage aircrafts and the picturesque San Jacinto Mountains.

A can’t-miss music experience, Splash House has summer fun written all over it, known for it’s impressive selection of dance music raves and unique events like drag brunch, tequila tastings, and flea markets. Liquid Stranger’s Wakaan Music Festival is back for its fourth year, promising an electrifying experience with a stellar 2024 lineup. Wakaan returns to Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas, from September 26-29, 2024. Hack-A-Shaq In The Mosh Pit On Shaq’s Summer Of Bass 2K24 Tour

Shaquille O’Neal is more than just a four-time NBA champion and three-time NBA Finals MVP. While retired from the court, he stays busy as a sports analyst, and during the offseason, his dubstep alter ego, DJ Diesel, takes center stage. With the basketball season over, it’s time to Hack-a-Shaq in the mosh pit.

DJ Diesel is locked in and touring Europe and North America with his “Shaq’s Summer of Bass 2K24” tour. Just as Shaq was a beast on the court, his mosh pits are equally intense, with heavy-hitting dubstep sets that have become legendary. Don’t be fooled by his big, friendly persona. In one of his mosh pits, the rule is there are no rules. Fans will bang heads, throw elbows, and break necks — all in the name of bass.

Hardwell Addresses SAGA Festival Before Canceling Live Set

Hardwell addressed the crowd during his set at SAGA Festival, criticizing the production staff and ultimately canceling his performance. The world-renowned Dutch DJ stated, “They didn’t pay me any f***ing money to be here tonight, but I’m still here. I’m still here.” Due to equipment malfunctions that made it impossible for him to perform, Hardwell apologized and decided to cancel his set.

Following Hardwell’s expression of frustration, SAGA Festival issued a counter-statement on social media:

“Well, Hardwell, we’re sorry that Rita Ora, Sickick, Loreen and all the DJs on five other stages got to play on the first day of SAGA and you didn’t. The equipment traveled all the way from the Netherlands, just like you. The same set seems to be working perfectly fine for Will Sparks right now.” 

SAGA’s response goes on to state how it has worked tirelessly to curate a special year for both artists and ravers:

“We would’ve solved any technical issues effortlessly and fast, if you would’ve let us and not stopped your set so soon. We’ve done all we could to accommodate your requests, including agreed payments. We’re sorry to (y)our fans. They would have loved to finally watch you perform in Bucharest. Nothing but love, and we wish you well.”

While the specifics of the incident remain unclear, Hardwell continues to receive support and love from his fans. One fan commented, “You have to be really really REALLY pissed & fed up to publicly say those things. Good on him, hope he gets paid elsewhere.” Another fan wrote, “You know you messed up when Hardwell is pissed…Never seen him this upset.” Fans also pointed out that a characteristic of Hardwell’s sets involves live mixing, speculating that this could have contributed to other performers playing without issue.

Despite the controversy, the event organizers highlighted that all other artists performed without problems. The incident at SAGA Festival has left the community buzzing, eager to see how Hardwell and the festival will move forward from this unexpected turn.

DUSK Music Festival Returns To Downtown Tuscon

Tuscon’s DUSK Music Festival invades the urban streets this November, welcomed back with loving arms. Returning for its 8th exhilarating year, this all-aged, fan-favorite heads back to Jácome Plaza from Nov. 9-10 with one of its most eclectic lineups yet. Rio Nuevo, a group that strives to reanimate downtown Tuscon, partners with Relentless Beats to provide a unique and intimate experience for festivalgoers. This 2024 edition will be the grandest yet, rooted in showcasing a wide range of artists and some of the best food, drinks, and art Southern Arizona has to offer.

On Stage

Headlining the festival is Grammy-nominated artist Kaskade who just released his new anthem “Resonate” with John Summit ft. Julia Church, alongside soulful ‘TrapHouseJazz’ musician Masego, The People’s Champ Quinn XCII, and the official party-starter Steve Aoki. There will be no dull moments with Layz, ATLiens, Disco Lines, Peekaboo, Austeria, Emorfik, Odd Mob, and many more bringing the energy to the Alameda and Presidio stages! In the days leading up to this southern rager, Arizona-based artists get to compete for six festival lineup slots in the Road to DUSK Battle of the Bands and DJ Competitions taking place in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tuscon.

On Site

The festival highlights food traditions that run through the veins of Tuscon with an incredible array of restaurants, food trucks, and chefs who will ensure that no fan goes hungry! Previous cuisine lineups featured foods from Gastronomic Union of Tuscon (GUT), Dante’s Fire, Rollies Mexican Patio, Fresco Pizzeria, and even the well-known Culinary Dropout.

Showing support for the local downtown area, DUSK’s vendor village will host a mix of small businesses and implement the festival’s Tuscon ARTS program. This program commissions students for their work of sculptures, digital art, and lighting exhibits used for the festival grounds. The party wouldn’t be complete without the eccentric official partner Cobra Arcade Bar, which will house various games ranging from backyard arcade to the classics!

Admission

Two-Day General Admission passes can be purchased for $119 before fees on the festival website. There is also an elevated VIP experience starting at $249 with air-conditioned premium bathrooms, front-of-stage viewing areas, complimentary bag check, and even massages if you go too hard on the rail! If you truly want to feel like DUSK royalty you can secure the Platinum VIP experience. Starting at $529, it offers everything the standard VIP pass has plus access to an all-inclusive, elevated viewing area with complimentary wine, beer, craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
