Bass Camp 2024: Bear Grillz Interview

While on sight at Bass Camp 2024, Moon Lvnding enjoyed catching up with Bear Grillz! Check out what he had to say below in our latest interview:

Erika Minnix: A bear found a MacBook Pro in Yosemite National Park. Do you want to talk more about that?

Bear Grillz: That’s funny. I haven’t talked about this in 12 years because that was the original story when I first launched the brand in 2012. It’s just the funny story behind the whole Bear Grillz thing; I just thought it was funny.

EM: What has inspired your sound over the past 12 years in the EDM scene?

BG: When I first started, it was a lot of dubstep that sounded like everything else, and then in 2016/17/18, I got creative and did reggae dubstep and collaborated with some bands like the Dirty Heads and Iration. A lot of my stuff from the earlier years, from 2013 onwards, was almost like a parody type. I would make funny vocals, and people would laugh. I have a song, “F**ck Bitches Get Honey,” but I don’t play that stuff anymore because it’s become much more of a serious project.

In 2018, I released my Demons albums that deal with depression and demons that are inside of a lot of people in the community. It’s more of a message to them. Even though I’m a DJ traveling the world doing all this stuff, I’m going through the same things everyone does. We are all here together. We all have to talk about how it helps heal each other. That was a big change for me the first time I had a vocalist run on my “Demons” track.

EM: You’ve played at all these festivals and toured over the years. What has been your favorite venue or festival?

BG: I always get asked this question, but it’s hard because I’ve played in 30 countries worldwide. Obviously, Red Rocks—where I’ve headlined twice, which is pretty cool. I’ve also played at The Gorge a handful of times, which is another amazing venue.

In terms of cities, I love playing in Paris, Montreal, and Sydney, Australia is always really good. Denver is always number one, though that’s where I live. LA, Orlando, Tampa—I can list a billion cities that I love playing in: Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, and Seattle. I’m going to get in trouble for not mentioning every city.

EM: Haha, you didn’t mention Phoenix!

BG: Actually, you’re right. Phoenix is awesome. I’ve headlined The Van Buren and obviously sold out Sunbar when I was there. I’ll be playing Sunbar again on my tour in December. I always look forward to Phoenix. I was just in Phoenix—I had to drive from LA to Denver back home, so I went through Phoenix and Albuquerque. It was a long drive.

EM: Oh, that was definitely a long drive. Speaking of long drives and traveling, what are your must-have travel snacks?

BG: I’ve found these kid’s fruit snacks with apple carrots, and I take those because that’s the only way I get all the nutrients I need. So, I just get on a flight and pop one. I also eat turkey jerky sticks and Aloha bars. Those are my three go-tos.

EM: Your mosh pits are epic. What’s the craziest you’ve seen during your sets?

BG: Oh god, I can’t say this on a live internet publication, but I’ve seen people have sex. I’ve had to stop some sets because people passed out, and they just overdid it. I’ve seen people pee on themselves, poop themselves. Sometimes, if the pit is going hard, you can’t leave it. If you’re in the middle, you can’t leave, so many people go, eh, I’ll just do it right here.

EM: Describe the ideal bass face for me.

BG: It’s hard to describe an ideal face; oh jeez, the ideal bass face maybe with all your teeth showing, mouth wide open, really looking like you’re about to poop the biggest poop of your life, and you’re really angry, but having fun at the same time.

EM: Maybe that’s why people are pooping during your sets, haha.

EM: Artists can see when their songs are added to Apple Music and Spotify playlists. What are the most memorable playlists that you’ve seen your music on?

BG: I don’t know about memorable, but sometimes I get on Hype Machine or Beast Moze on Spotify, and those ones just get so many plays. People love to work out to dubstep. Its high energy makes you want to punch things or go crazy, so it’s the perfect workout music.

EM: Oh, I definitely agree with you on that one. When you dropped “Happy and You Know It” a few weeks ago, I heard it on my way to a workout at 6 a.m. I didn’t expect to go as hard as I did in the car, but it was one of the best workouts I’ve had in a while.

EM: Should we expect surprises for your set tonight at Bass Camp?

BG: I’ve been taking the past five weeks off, so I haven’t really done anything crazy; I’ve been taking it easy. I finished part one of my tour, and part two will start here shortly, but I’ll have some new music that I’m excited to try out tonight. I hope I have a good set and people have fun!

EM: I look forward to going hard in the pits during your set!

Bass Camp 2024: Whipped Cream Interview

While on sight at Bass Camp 2024, Moon Lvnding enjoyed catching up with Whipped Cream! Check out what she had to say below in our latest interview:

Erika Minnix: Your new album, ‘is this real?‘ was released a month ago. What inspired your lyrics and sound for this album?

Whipped Cream: Everything happening in my life was translated into the songs. It was meant as a diary, but I realized I wanted others to share what I was going through. Hopefully, other people can relate and feel good, and they can get over it and get through it.

EM: Artists can see when their songs have been added to playlists. What’s one of the most memorable playlist names you’ve had your songs added to?

WC: Honestly, I’m grateful for every playlist that my music gets put into because that’s how people usually discover me. It doesn’t matter to me because the more playlists my music is on, the more people are exposed to it. Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and even Amazon Music have all been so supportive. It’s just that people are hearing the music, and helping share it means a lot.

EM: As you continue to evolve, what influences you? What continues to inspire and push you further?

WC: I enjoy the present moment, life, and nature. I connect with myself and with people who make me feel really good naturally and energetically. I also meditate, do yoga, and listen to music I enjoy.

EM: Who is your dream collab?

WC: My dream collaboration is Ye. I really like indie. Florence & The Machine would be a sick collaboration. I would also love to work with A$AP Rocky, Pharrell, Dr. Dre, or anyone who’s a prominent name that pioneered hip-hop or draws inspiration from it. I would be thrilled to work with someone who inspired my sound.

EM: What is your favorite venue that you’ve played?

WC: A few favorite venues I’ve played include Lalapoolza Perry’s Stage and Ultra Miami. Playing at Coachella was incredible, and obviously Tomorrowland.

EM: What is your favorite festival you’ve attended where you weren’t performing?

WC: Probably Coachella.

EM: I’m sure you spend a lot of time on the road with your tour happening right now. What is your favorite travel snack?

WC: Probably unsalted almonds.

EM: What advice would you give to women trying to break into the music industry?

WC: You have to love what you do as a female producer. If you do it for the applause, that is different from what you will always receive. You will have a lot of doubters and interesting chaotic energy as a female producer. If you love it so much, then nothing will be able to stop you. You’re just going to do it out of love and make it by working hard, and then you will let your art do the talking. You can’t let your outer world affect your inner world. You have to protect yourself.

EM: This has been great! I’m Erika Minnix with Moon Lvnding. Thank you so much for joining me, Whipped Cream!

Bass Camp 2024 In Review

Imagine perfect weather, bass music pulsating beside a flowing river, and a community of enthusiastic bass fans — that’s Bass Camp VII! Taking place on July 27 and July 28 in Downtown Reno on the Truckee River, the scenic views made this bass festival an unforgettable experience. Once again, Bass Camp showed why it deserves to be on your festival radar!

Bass Camp was an all-ages event that lived up to its description. Pregnant women enjoyed the event, as did families in matching outfits and even newborns (wearing protective hearing headphones, of course). The atmosphere at Bass Camp was perfect for families, friends, and future ravers to create lasting memories.

Bass Camp was perfect for the 25+ ravers, too. The festival started at 2 pm and was over by 11 pm. An additional benefit of Bass Camp is that the Truckee River flows through the festival grounds, providing plenty of scenic seating areas for attendees to enjoy.

The festival grounds featured grassy areas shaded by trees and rocks leading up to the water, which provided the perfect place to relax and take in the surroundings. One unique feature was the Giving Tree Stage, where attendees could use headphones to listen to either bass or house sets.

Festivalgoers could move around freely while enjoying their favorite DJs sitting by the water, creating lasting memories and connecting with nature. Seeing people paddling on paddle boards while different DJs put on pyrotechnic displays was quite a sight. Combined with the sunsets and impressive fire and laser shows, the view was truly breathtaking.

Everyone in the Bass Camp crowd exhibited PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) and was passionate about the bass and dubstep played throughout the weekend. When the beat dropped, everyone instantly smiled, making it easy to move around. The head-banging and hyping each other up added to the excitement. There is something magical about being surrounded by flames, without a care in the world, while breaking a rail.

From the opening DJs to the headliners Gigantic Nghtmre and Zeds Dead, everyone gave their all and held nothing back on the stage during their sets. You could see the DJs’ love for their music while up there, giving the bass community what they want. Despite the name, Bass Camp offered a variety of bass house and future bass artists to complement the hard-hitting beats.

Drum and bass (DnB) continued to get the recognition it deserves, with DJs incorporating it into their sets. DnB is a good time, and seeing it live throughout the weekend was an excellent pick-me-up early in the day, jumping around with friends.

Gorilla T ripped off his shirt during the middle of his set and jumped on the decks to excite the crowd. If your favorite DJ isn’t shirtless and jumping on the decks, then you may be at the wrong set. He wasn’t the only one who kept the Gud Vibrations going Saturday night!

Photo Credit: Reno After Dark Facebook

Night 1 on the main stage featured captivating performances by Kill the Noise B2B Bro Safari, also known as Kill Safari. With their electrifying light show, Wax Motif and San Holo brought a vibrant energy to Bass Camp. Watching them perform is always a treat, as their sound and production always impress.

What do you get when you mix Big Gigantic’s sensual saxophone, drums, and Nghtmre’s deeply moving beats and lyrics? You get Gigantic Nghtmre. Gigantic Nghtmre sets do not happen often, so seeing one live is always a special treat. On stage, they captivated the crowd with breathtaking moments. Those riding the rails felt the heat throughout the night, without a doubt.

Photo Credit: Reno After Dark Facebook

At the Dancetronauts Bass Station stage, Moon Boots showcased his funky flair by keeping the crowd dancing all night. Following Moon Boots, Marten Horger brought his feel-good bass house music, which powered the crowd’s minds, bodies, and souls. His iconic mustache beamed from ear to ear as he performed on stage.

The fun continued into Sunday at the Dancetronauts Bass Station. Day 2 was filled with intense performances by DJs like Effin, Cyclops, and Bear Grillz, leading to wild mosh pits. It was so intense that Advil was needed afterward.

The energy and power of the live performances were a different experience than just listening to these DJs on streaming apps. At the Dancetronauts Bass Station, it felt like unleashing your inner beast. If you ever fell, the crowd was always ready to help you back up!

Zeds Dead had the main stage moving from the opening of their set to the very end. This iconic EDM duo continues to push the boundaries of EDM, and at Bass Camp, they did not disappoint. The talented duo from Deadbeats had the crowd moving all night long. There may have been a few tears shed, but they quickly vanished when their hard-hitting bass dropped. It is always a memorable night whenever Zeds Dead is on the lineup.

When the headliners Gigantic Nghtmre and Zeds Dead closed the night out on the main stage, the afters were just getting started at Cypress. This stage became home to the riddim rats after Bass Camp. The chop shop was chopping and slicing — knees were to the chest, no questions asked!

Overall, Bass Camp was a phenomenal festival. Attendees enjoyed scenic views, great music, making new friends, access to clean porta-potties, and the chance to let loose and be carefree for the weekend. Attending Bass Camp needs to become an annual tradition and the Moon Lvnding Fvm is already looking forward to its return. For the rest of you festivalgoers, follow all things Bass Camp using the links below and maybe we’ll see you back in Reno in 2025!

Deep Tropics 2024 Survival Guide

Nashville’s premier boutique EDM festival, Deep Tropics, is just a month away! We’ve crafted a survival guide to help you maximize your festival experience. With a diverse music lineup, enriching discussions on sustainability and community, and various immersive experiences, Deep Tropics offers several unique features that go beyond the typical music festival.

Music

For those looking to kick off their festival experience early, Deep Tropics has partnered with Virgin Hotels Nashville to host this year’s hottest pool parties at the Pool Club. The upcoming party will take place on Saturday, August 3, featuring live DJs, summer cocktails, and great vibes. This event is free with RSVP with cabanas, daybeds, and tables available for an additional fee.

When the Deep Tropics 2024 lineup was announced, excitement buzzed immediately. This year’s lineup is one for the books, with household names Kaskade and Sofi Tukker headlining the Meru Amphitheatre, and Peekaboo and RL Grime leading the Lotus Stage. The big-name artists don’t stop there—Elderbrook, Nora En Pure, Cassian, Marsh, Malone, Calussa, and Subrinse will also be gracing the Meru Amphitheatre. Performing on the Lotus Stage will be Tape B, Zingara, Cool Customer, Memba, Rohaan, and Yoko. The Congo Soundsystem will spotlight techno queen Hiroko Yamamura alongside Danny Daze, AHRT, Cruel Mistress, DJ Dainty, and more.

Although the festival grounds may close, the music doesn’t stop at the gates. Deep Tropics has partnered with Cannery Hall and Night We Met to continue the festivities with multiple late-night sets. On Friday, Zingara will take the main stage at Cannery Hall with support from Rohann and Skeyeview, Marsh will play at The Mil with support from Haums, and Hiroko Yamamura will headline Row 1 with support from Ivan Coronel. Meanwhile, Malone will headline at Night We Met with help from Sintra and Fiera.

On Saturday, Tape B will headline the main stage at Cannery Hall with support from Taiki Nulight and Prophet, Calussa will perform at The Mil with support from Matt Caines, and Danny Daze will play at Row 1 with support from Hanzz. Elderbrook will perform his DJ set at Night We Met with the help of Lux Velour and Ysheso.

Sustainability

Deep Tropics will host a Sustainability Summit at Colliers International on Thursday, August 15—the day before the festival—from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This event brings together government officials, industry professionals, and engaged citizens to connect and showcase regenerative solutions. The summit aims to inspire the greater Nashville area to adopt holistic connections and promote a healthier, more sustainable future for all. You won’t want to miss this first annual summit!

Saturday from 2:40 PM to 2:55 PM, the Soho Fashion Club and various local designers will host the Tropical Paradise Runway Show on the Lotus Stage. Deep Tropics will roll out the red carpet to promote eco-conscious and sustainable fashion. Aimed at promoting fashion as a force for positive change, this event encourages audiences to look to local and small businesses for their festival and daily fashion needs.

Deep Tropics will also host a farm-to-table lunch curated by Kassia Fiedor of Infused Holistic Kitchen on Saturday at the Deep Culture Speakeasy. This four-course dining experience celebrates the benefits of slow, seasonal food and was created in collaboration with local regenerative farmers. Each dish is carefully designed to highlight seasonal ingredients harvested from their farms or foraged from the Tennessee wilds. Naturally, the meal will be beautifully accompanied by the smooth sounds of a live jazz band.

Community

On Saturday from noon to 2:30 PM, the main stage at Meru Amphitheatre will feature DJ Drez blending mystical hip-hop, reggae roots, world bass, and electronic beats while Marti Nikko leads yoga and breathwork. DJ Drez is a pioneer in bridging the dance and yoga communities, seamlessly transitioning the crowd from jumping at a dance party to feeling the relaxation of savasana.

Lolu, a Nashville wellness brand, aims to rejuvenate festival-goers with their ice bath activation, located behind the Lotus Stage from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This experience features free guided ice baths and breathwork sessions, equipped with towels, changing rooms, and showers to ensure attendees can quickly return to the festival.

This year Modelo and Deep Tropics are teaming up to bring attendees the opportunity to create their very own limited-edition merchandise featuring Nashville Modelo graphics created by a local Nashville artist.

“We as the Constellation team are ecstatic to be a part of the Deep Tropics Festival,” said Modelo. “We will be showcasing our Modelo Custom Shop Activation where we will be making shirts, and tote bags with custom Nashville Modelo graphics from a local artist. We will also be handing out samples of Modelo at the same tent. So please come by and get a Modelo, a koozie to keep your drink cold, and a limited edition shirt or tote bag.”

Although it may seem impossible to add more features to this already stacked lineup, there are additional activities to keep you entertained all weekend. Visit The Alchemist Apothecary Pop-Up for unique health-focused beverages or check out the Eco Burlesque Show, which celebrates eco-conscious entertainment. Attendees can also participate in the Sunset Drum Circle, enjoy the Psychedelic Comedy Show, and visit the Healing Sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation.

It’s not too late to secure your passes for this year’s Deep Tropics Music Festival! While Platinum passes are sold out, General Admission and Plus passes are still available. Grab your passes now for an unforgettable weekend at Deep Tropics!

Hulaween Introduces OFF LIMITS Stage Hosted by DEF

Suwannee Hulaween is set to enchant festival-goers once again, but this time, there’s a twist in the tale. The intuitive team behind this 2024 edition collaborates with the women-led collective DEFINE EVERYTHING FUTURE (DEF) to inaugurate the OFF LIMITS Stage, a groundbreaking concept that fuses both teams’ strengths. This new addition promises an intimate, immersive 360-degree stage experience, bringing fans up close and personal with the underground’s most sought-after acts across house, techno, drum and bass, UKG, and bass.

Spirit Lake 360

Hulaween is a unique Halloween-themed camping festival with a grand reputation for its cross-genre programming and immersive installations. At the heart of the event is Spirit Lake, a mystical hub where guests can explore a thoughtfully curated sensory spectacle of captivating light displays, interactive sculptures, dazzling performers, and mesmerizing visual art. Fittingly, this carousel of curiosity will be the new home of the OFF LIMITS Stage.

As one of the last fully independent music festivals in the US, it’s only fitting that Hulaween has partnered with Atlanta-based event producer DEF. This similarly fully independent women-led team has made a name for itself by creating extraordinary experiences with both legendary and emerging artists including Sara Landry, ISOxo, Of The Trees, and Dr. Fresch. DEF’s long history of throwing 360-degree events ensures a well-orchestrated framework for this project. This innovative stage will showcase top-tier underground dance music underscored by spectacular pyro effects by Incendia and a state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system. The stage design will seamlessly blend DEF’s signature production style with Spirit Lake’s unique visual and performance art installations, creating a mesmerizing and interactive environment for all attendees.

We are excited to officially welcome DEF to the Hula Fam! Their unique curation and thriving community will be the magic that helps launch our new 360 experience OFF LIMITS at Spirit Lake. Their long standing history of attending Hulaween gives us great confidence and excitement in what’s to come.” – Michael Berg, Hulaween founder & co-owner

A Star-Studded Lineup

The stage promises to be a haven for fans of the underground dance scene, featuring a stellar lineup of in-demand artists. Festival-goers can expect electrifying performances from Azzecca a Chicago-based techno producer, Ian Asher a house music guru from Southern California, and GUDFELLA a talented Filipino producer. The stage will also feature the GRAMMY-nominated techno powerhouse Will Clarke, Manchester’s own producer and label boss Bou, UK tech-house artist Riordan, and the dynamic bass duo Eazybaked. World-renowned producer Taiki Nulight will showcase his UK garage, house, and bass influences, Anaheim’s AYYBO will exhibit his unique cinematography, and a special B2B set from Justin Jay and Nala will ensure that the beats keep rolling.

Joining the headliners are a host of other talented artists set to make the first OFF LIMITS stage an unforgettable experience. Expect high-energy sets from Bianca Oblivion, BOSSA, and CHROMEBODIES, the collaborative project between Manila Killa and Hotel Garuda. Other notable acts include 33 Below, Angrybaby, CLB B2B NIK P, Crucial b2b Kollapse, gad’m, Know Good, MPH, Oppidan, and Soukii.

This is truly a full circle moment for us. Our DEF team, friends and fans have all been a part of the Hulaween family for nearly a decade and now we have the opportunity to merge both worlds. We’re so excited to bring DEF energy to the magic of Spirit Lake, and showcase some of our favorite artists from across the world. We used to joke about a DEF360 stage at Hulaween and now it’s actually happening.”  – DEF founder

Our Thoughts on Global Dance 2024

This past weekend, the 21st annual Global Dance Festival premiered a new venue, The National Western Complex. As with any major location change, there were pros and cons. Now that it’s all wrapped up, let’s look at the best new features and those that will require improvement in the years to come.

Stages

Global Dance previously took place in the parking lot of Empower Field from 3 PM to 11 PM, featuring four stages and a silent disco. This was still the case the last time I attended Global Dance in 2018. This year there were only three stages and the silent disco was removed.

Both the Summit Stage and Northern Lights stages were inside, while the Oasis stage was a pop-up tent outside. Having the bigger stages inside was helpful on Saturday when lightning was near the venue and everyone had to go indoors for safety. Unfortunately, this also made for a lot of traffic between stages, hot temperatures from crowding in a small place, and less production for each stage than you would have outdoors. Sets at the Northern Lights stage felt more like a warehouse while the Summit stage felt like a Mission Ballroom show, neither really gave off “festival” vibes. I did appreciate the later start and end times this year as I was coming from work and it allowed me more time to arrive without missing any sets.

The Northern Lights Stage

Amenities

Moving to a new location is always challenging, especially if it is a smaller venue. The overall festival footprint was much smaller at the Stockyards Event Center. As a result, the only carnival ride was a Ferris wheel, there were two main art installations, and I didn’t notice as many roaming performers as in previous years. There were bars and bathrooms, both inside and outside the venue. Bathroom lines were long everywhere, but the bar lines moved quickly. There were various merch and vendor booths inside, including Be A Good Person and Keeping the Party Safe where attendees could learn to use Narcan. There were also food vendors inside and food trucks outside. The prices for both seemed pretty reasonable and none of the lines ever looked very long.

VIP

Outside, the VIP village was a nice area to relax if you needed a minute to sit and also had dedicated bathrooms and a bar. The VIP section for the Northern Lights stage was located to the right of the stage with tables, couches, and a bar, but patrons could barely see the stage. At the Summit Stage VIP, congestion was a problem as there was only one way in and out of VIP on Friday with just one security guard for the entire area. We saw many people hop over the bike rack into VIP, making it overfull. Luckily they added a second entrance, more security, and an ADA section to the VIP area on Saturday. It was also a bit hard to see the DJ from VIP at the Summit Stage since it was so close to the front of the stage and the DJ booth was higher up.

Verdict

The crowd was pretty chill, we didn’t see any fights or have any rude interactions with anyone. We did see a few people who needed medical attention, but thankfully medics got to them quickly. Security was also passing out water bottles to people at both indoor stages. On Friday we saw Wuki, Said The Sky, The Chainsmokers, Duke Dumont, and G Jones. Said the Sky brought out Dabin to perform a few songs with him! Saturday night we saw 1991, Champagne Drip, Gryffin, and Fisher. Almost every set we saw dropped some drum and bass. Each set was very different, so there was something for lovers of all genres.

Overall, we had a great time at Global Dance. Sadly, this instance did not measure up to what it once was and there is much work to be done to improve it for next year. I’m not sure if it will stay at The National Western Complex, move back to Empower Field, or go somewhere new entirely, but I hope that Global Dance recaptures some of the magic it lost this year. Use the links below to stay in the know about Global Dance events.

Acts To See At Hard Summer 2024

Hard Summer returns to SoCal for its 16th year with another massive lineup. Festivalgoers can expect another epic weekend when it takes over Hollywood Park in Los Angeles on August 3rd and 4th. The 5 stages will buzz with performances from huge names like Disclosure, Zeds Dead, Fisher + Chris Lake, and Subtronics. With so many incredible acts, choosing who to see can be difficult. We have you covered. Circle these names in your schedule to ensure a top-tier Hard Summer experience!

Saturday: August 3

Featuring a nice variety of music throughout the day, the Hard Stage plays host to a special guest you don’t want to miss. Dreamstate SoCal Drops MASSIVE Line Up

The United States’ trance destination awaits; and for the 2024 edition, Insomniac pulled out all the stops. Returning to The Queen Mary in Long Beach after last years move from the NOS Event Center, the event, nicknamed by many “Trancegiving,” is set to bring legends from around the world to one big weekend November 22nd and 23rd.

Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond will grace the main stage, bringing the sounds of their respective labels (Armada and Anjunabeats) to the festival. It’s the first year both acts have performed the same weekend in Dreamstate history, since the festival’s inauguration in 2015. Fans can expect to be whirled away into a melodic soundscape, filled with uplifting vibes and dazzling rhythms.

Other top tier acts include Andrew Bayer, fresh off his Places I Belong tour, legend Markus Schulz, and the unmistakable Darude, of Sandstorm fame. Infected Mushroom and Blastoyz will team up for a special set, sure to incorporate heart pounding psytrance drops in a memorable event that is not to be skipped.

In addition, for those that really want to immerse themselves in another world, accommodations on the allegedly haunted Queen Mary will be available for booking at a later date. Room bookings got snapped up fast last year, so fans will want to closely follow Dreamstate social media for announcements.

Artists To See At Global Dance 2024

Last week, Denver EDM promoter Global Dance announced the stage and daily lineups for its 21st annual festival, which will take place in just under two weeks on July 26-27, 2024. The festival is moving to a new home this year, The National Western Complex, with new hours from 5 pm to 1 am daily.

Previously held at Empower Field from 3 pm to 11 pm, Global Dance featured four stages and a silent disco. This year, there will be three stages and no silent disco. Despite these changes, the festival promises an incredible experience with an impressive lineup. Included below are some of our most anticipated moments at Global Dance 2024.

Friday: July 26

The Summit stage will feature hip hop-inspired Kaytranada, who just released his third album, Timeless, last month. The Northern Lights stage will feature Gjones and Smoakland’s DNB set, Liquid Smoak. Gjones debuted his Paths live show at Red Rocks at the end of 2023, and we’re excited to see how his performance has evolved. Smoakland began releasing their Liquid Smoak mixes in 2020 and debuted their Liquid Smoak set at Soundhaven in 2022. Hartshorn, featured in Moon Lvnding’s Rising Stars Of 2024 and Who Are Ya?! – Get Happy with Hartshorn, will bring hard dance to the Oasis Stage. Last year, he played the silent disco and has now moved up to one of the more prominent stages.

Saturday: July 27

The only B2B on the lineup will feature Boogie T B2B Jantsen on the Summit stage. This exclusive performance is a must-see for any wubs enthusiast. DNB fans will want to catch 1991 on the Northern Lights Stage. Earlier this year, he played the “Worship” tour alongside Culture Shock, Dimension, and Sub Focus. Crankdat, who gained significant traction after releasing a heavy dubstep take on Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” will also perform on the Northern Lights stage. Paws, the official DJ for the Denver Nuggets, will be taking over the Oasis stage. When he isn’t curating the vibe inside Ball Arena, you can find him opening for artists like Illenuim.

Set times have yet to be released when this article was written, so hopefully, these performances won’t clash! If you haven’t bought your tickets for Global Dance Festival yet, single-day, two-day, GA, and VIP Tickets are still available.
