Qlank is back and just as hot as ever with a new EP on In Rotation. ‘Therapy’ takes you to the darkest corners of the club and gets you grooving with some of the nastiest sounds in bass house. The EP features four tracks, including the title track released a month prior. Each song off the EP is primed to tear up any club willing and ready.

Blanke took over the valley of the sun this past Saturday during his Earth To The Stars: Emergence Tour playing two sets including one as his ÆON:MODE project earlier in the night. To open the show, CHASIN‘ threw some nasty drops that proved he is an up-and-coming force to be reckoned with. The energy of the crowd was infectious; it only got more hype (and hot) as the night went on and not one person let up on the gas.
The soaring Drum & Bass project ÆON:MODE followed CHASIN’ for a captivating 45-minute set. While I do love a good heavy bass drop, I couldn’t help but want an encore for more DnB! Blanke brings such genuine energy to his music and performance and it shows through his fans’ love and excitement. The visuals and remixes captured my attention and I came to understand why so many fans arrive early to catch this set!
One of my favorite aspects of this show was the visuals—everyone absolutely showed up in that department. Following the Drum & Bass craziness, EDDIE set the final tone for the night, not leaving any room for downtime. Playing a personal favorite with Quackson, “Caffeine Induced Psychosis,” he also teased a new upcoming single with the OG, Zomboy.
The man of the hour, Blanke closed the night out and showed why he is one of the top names in music. With his diverse setlist, gnarly remixes, and mesmerizing visuals, I can easily say he is one of the top artists I have seen thus far. You can tell that Blanke puts his whole heart and soul into his performance by the infectious energy he brings. Catch a glimpse below:
It’s been nearly a month since Brownies & Lemonade brought the heat to Brooklyn, but I still can’t get that epic show off my mind. The Southern California event brand started the fall EDM season by taking over one of New York City’s most unique new venues, Under the K Bridge Park. Located directly underneath the Kosciuszko Bridge, Brownies & Lemonade converted the covered outdoor space into the place to be on Friday, September 27.
Of course, setting up the space for an event is only part of the challenge; the other is enlisting a strong lineup. B&L held nothing back when curating the diverse bass lineup for this event, including an epic b2b set featuring special guests Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, and Daxta MC. During the daylight hours, Jawns, Frosttop, and Wavedash got the party started. Then to close the night out after the b2b, Madeon played a deliciously bass-heavy set followed by a special set from the birthday girl, Alison Wonderland.

One of the more memorable moments of the night happened as Alison Wonderland started her set. Her tour manager punked her by cutting the volume to her mixer while the LED screen behind her said that the audio was cut so the crowd could sing her “Happy Birthday.” After a confused few seconds, Alison caught on to the prank, turned to see the message behind her, and then got serenaded by the raucous Brooklyn crowd.
As a native New Yorker, I love to see artists embrace our culture in their sets and Alison Wonderland went there. She came out in a Rocawear S. Carter jersey to pay homage to Jay-Z and made sure to drop her Notorious B.IG. remix in her set, showing love to Brooklyn’s two most famous hip-hop artists. Even B&L got in the spirit of the big city by adopting its sustainability efforts to eliminate single-use plastics from events. Instead of vendors serving drinks in disposable cups, they used reusable cups and had cup collection bins scattered around the park. B&L even invited some local NYC food trucks to pull up and offer tasty treats for hungry patrons.

All things considered, Brownies & Lemonade curated an outstanding event here in Brooklyn and we’re already looking forward to their return to NYC. B&L showcased a diverse range of international bass artists and the crowd enjoyed the show by moving and dancing all night. While they might be a California-based event brand, Moon Lvnding would sure love to see Brownies and Lemonade come back to New York as soon as they can. The Levity crew has been making waves as they travel from city to city, delivering fresh music and energy that’s conquered dance floor after dance floor. Selling out weeks in advance, Levity turned up the heat with their recent headline stop at our very own Sunbar in Tempe, Arizona, and locals are still buzzing from all the hype!
Kicking off the night were beloved hometown favorites Allie Radd and Arboreal, who warmed up the crowd with high-energy sets. The vibes were immaculate as fans grooved and bopped to the beats, leading into direct support set by ANIMATE, who set the stage for Levity’s entrance. When Levity hit the decks, they wasted no time proving themselves as one of the hottest acts in the scene. Highlights of the night included their slick remix of John Summit’s “Go Back” and an exclusive tease of a VIP version of their fan-favorite collab with ALLEYCVT, “ONE FOR YOU.”

Levity is one of the hottest names in the game right now. From their legendary B2B with ALLEYCVT vs. Cyclops at DEADBEATS to their sold-out headline shows, they continue to show they’re here for the long haul. With the one-year anniversary of their breakthrough hit “Flip It,” the trio recently posted a heartfelt message reflecting on just how far they have come:

We’ve built a community of over 160k beautiful people. Have played some of our dream festivals/cities”

We ventured into the heart of the Arizona desert, descending upon the hallowed grounds of the Phoenix Raceway for the 2024 Gold Rush Festival. This annual pilgrimage promised a journey into the realm of electronic dance music, and it delivered.
The festival grounds were transformed into a futuristic oasis, where electronic beats reigned supreme. With 5 impressive stages, mind-bending visuals, and earth-shattering sound systems this year’s setup was an immersive experience. Each stage had its own unique design (my favorite was the main stage dice design; something I had never seen before), and the different areas of each stage provided attendees the opportunity to change their surroundings multiple times and keep things fresh. The crowd brought the energy like usual. All the cowgirls and cowboys could be heard for miles. Despite the immense scale of the festival, the organizers ensured a smooth experience with efficient crowd control and ample amenities.
The lineup was an assembly of EDM’s brightest stars, including headliners Alesso, The Chainsmokers, Slander, Ganja White Night and more! With such a vast amount of talent across the venue, you could explore and stumble upon a new set without missing a beat.
Gold Rush 2024 was a testament to the power of electronic music to bring people together. The unforgettable performances, the stunning visuals, and the electric atmosphere made for a truly unforgettable experience. As we emerge from the desert haze, we’re already counting down the days until the next Gold Rush.
Lost Lands, often hailed as the Disneyland of dubstep in the bass community, lived up to its reputation this year with a touch of magic! The festival saw noticeable upgrades, from enhanced campsites to the introduction of a brand-new 360-degree stage, leaving bass heads in awe.
Highlights:
The Crater Stage – As 360-degree stages and Boiler Room-style setups have grown in popularity, it was only a matter of time before Lost Lands joined the trend. When the Crater stage was announced, there was initial skepticism about how it would handle large crowds. However, those doubts quickly vanished after its first live appearance this year. With multiple entrances and a rotating DJ booth in the center, every attendee enjoyed an intimate, front-row experience, no matter where they stood.
The real magic came at night. As the lasers shot through the sky, it felt like a galactic battle straight out of Star Wars. Each drop reverberated through the crowd, eliciting gasps and cheers as the crowd gazed up in awe.

The Tunnel – With 40,000 people transitioning between the campsite and the festival grounds, moving the masses is no small feat. The addition of the tunnel was a game changer, providing a smooth, stress-free transition into the festival. No more waiting for traffic or cramming together on a scaffold overpass—the addition of this vibrant tunnel will be appreciated in Legend Valley for years to come.
The Music – Lost Lands wouldn’t be complete without four days of face-melting, head-banging bass. From the moment the gates opened at the main stage until the sunrise at the silent disco, the energy never wavered. Early sets by UsayBflow, Levity, Sanzu, VKTM, and Emorfik were relentless, pushing the sound systems to their limits and putting attendee earplugs to the test!
Legendary back-to-backs lit up the weekend, from a house set by Wooli, Svdden Death, and Subtronics to a filthy riddim showdown with Hamro, Sqishi, and BLVNKSPVCE. Smoakland and Sippy’s wompy hour and a day-four closing set by the undisputed kings Wooli and Excision wrapped up a weekend of pure bass heaven.

Bummers:
THE DUST– A little bit of dirt and dust is unavoidable at most music festivals, but this year’s conditions were truly brutal. Ohio’s summer drought meant thick clouds of dirt followed festival-goers everywhere, turning mosh pits into mini sandstorms. Even with masks or pashminas, the dust found its way into every breath.
No Pyro – A last-minute fire ban by local authorities put a damper on one of the festival’s signature elements—pyrotechnics. No gas stoves, lighters, or fireworks were allowed, leaving stages without their usual bursts of flames. However, the production team made up for it with extra lasers, CO2 cannons, and nightly drone shows, keeping the energy alive.
Final Thoughts:
Excision and his team deserve major credit for pulling off a safe and exhilarating Lost Lands despite the challenges. From the prehistoric vibe to the community energy, Lost Lands 2024 was both gnarly and breathtaking, and fans are already counting down the days until 2025!
Jason Ross brought the house down during his set at Sunbar this past weekend at his Tempe, AZ stop of the Atlas: Dimensions Club Tour. Following the successful release of his new Monstercat EP “Divergence,” it quickly amounted to the #1 spot a few days later on the iTunes Dance chart. Bringing Atlas to a more intimate venue, the diverse set featured some bass, drum n’ bass, trap and a hint of dubstep to ensure the night was uniquely its own. Packing the dance floor from the front to the back, direct support Last Heroes fired up the crowd, making sure that the energy was high for the main performance of the night.
Playing all the hits from his newest album, the crowd couldn’t get enough of Jason and his energy. Ensuring that there was something for everyone that night, he mixed up his set with beats that constantly kept you dancing on your toes. But don’t think he forgot about all the heavy bass-heads in the room; he was sure to drop his flair on many hits by big names like Excision and Kai Wachi proving that he really can do it all!

Up-and-coming DJ-producers Steller and AG have unleashed their highly-anticipated track “Digital Delusion” via the prominent bass label Wubaholics. This collaboration seamlessly blends dubstep, hip-hop, and heavy sound design, delivering an electrifying and immersive experience.
The track kicks off with a psychedelic trance instrumental, quickly building into heavy percussion and powerful lyrics. The energy peaks with a hard-hitting bass drop packed with deep wubs, making “Digital Delusion” a perfect fit for both festival stages and underground raves.
“AG sent me an early version of ‘Digital Delusion’ and I immediately knew we would turn it into a banger,” said Steller. “You can really hear both of our styles infused across it as well. The track’s title reflects its sonic “vibe” of the song. To me, the descending arp leading up to the drop sends you into a spiral of electronic ‘delusion.’ I have been playing it on tour and the crowd response has been amazing every time!”
Steller has quickly become a standout in the bass music scene with her string of electrifying releases and major festival appearances. Following the success of her banger “Vibe One Time” featured on We Are Deadbeats Vol. 6 last month and her recent EP Am I Dreaming on Cyclops Recordings, she’s been direct support on Zingara’s tour and made appearances on Excision’s Nexus tour. With the exciting release of her latest track “Digital Delusion,” Steller is set to dominate upcoming sets at Lost Lands, WAKAAN Festival, and more, cementing her place as one of bass music’s rising stars.
AG has been on a roll this year, releasing multiple exciting tracks, including his EP Seeking the Vibe on Circus Records, teaming up with Virx for the hard-hitting single “Impulse” and his original track “Dusk to Dawn.” AG also had an exciting set at Ganja White Night’s Area 420 event this past April. His latest collaboration with Steller, “Digital Delusion,” serves as the featured single from his upcoming EP, promising more bass-fueled releases to come.
Sippy finally came back to Arizona for her Gremlin Mode Tour, and we are still buzzing from her Darkstar Tempe stop. The last time this bass-music powerhouse played in AZ was over four years ago back in early 2020, making this past weekend long overdue. Her first solo headline tour has been going off with a bang, and Darkstar got to experience a few special treats the night of her show. Direct support artist STVRXD brought the house down with her specially curated ID tracklist, and we learned at the end of her set that she had been working hard for years with Sippy to learn how to produce. Based off the energy of the crowd, her hard work is paying off!

Sippy has proven she is a must-see act, enchanting any stage she sets foot on, and Darkstar was no different. She played her STARCHILD remix and gave the gremlins what they demanded: The Banana Song. With the vibes riding high the party got kicked into hyper-speed. Surprise guest Harry, 1/2 of Smoakland, came out for a diabolical Smoak and Sip set that elevated the crowd to indescribable heights. Her energy brought a new level of passion that was infectious throughout the venue, and we are already counting down the days she returns to Arizona. Huge thank you to Sippy and her team for having the Moon Lvnding Fvm out. You still have a chance to witness the Gremlin Mode Tour so be sure to snag yourself a ticket! Labor Day Weekend in New York City brought the American debut of the famed S2O water festival. Pulse Events turned The Brooklyn Mirage and Avant Gardner into a summer festival destination for the Thai Songkran celebration. Marshmello, Subtronics, Timmy Trumpet, and ARMNHMR highlighted a stacked two-day lineup.
The main stage at The Brooklyn Mirage featured five headline artists each day, complemented by a pair of local Asian-American artists making their debut in front of the big screen. The stage was equipped with spiral water guns and strong water cannons, soaking the eager festivalgoers. Then when the sun went down, a row of pyrotechnics lit up the night with fireworks and flames. Nothing like a festival atmosphere to bring international icons like Timmy Trumpet to New York for his Brooklyn Mirage debut.

For those who needed a break from the water cannons, Kings Hall offered a side stage with more local Asian-American DJs and producers The Great Hall added to the festival atmosphere with S2O and artist merch for the event and a place for people to sit and take a break away from the music. The gourmet food court provided pizzas, sandwiches, and tenders to round out the day-night party.

Pulse Events has mastered the ability to transform New York’s biggest nightclub into an immersive festival, starting with their successful Spring Festival earlier this year at Avant Gardner. Now with S2O Festival, it’s got another splashing success, bringing the Thai tradition into the thick of US festival season. From what I saw in the crowd, it looked like ecstatic fans will be ready for more S2O when, hopefully, it comes back next year.
Now all eyes turn to Pulse Events’ next big party in Brooklyn for Winter Festival, featuring Adventure Club and a pair of marquee back-to-back sets on November 16. To keep up with all the latest news from one of New York’s leading event brands, use the social links below.
