Zeds Dead Drop Cinematic Mashup ‘Channel Flipping 2: Only You’

Genre-defying producer duo Zeds Dead return with Channel Flipping 2: Only You, a groundbreaking audiovisual piece that continues the conceptual arc of their 2025 album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness. Rooted in the album’s central motif—a television jumping between eras, memories, and sonic timelines—the new video expands that vision into a fully cinematic experience. What began as a viral, sample-driven live mashup from their 2024 and 2025 Red Rocks sets now arrives as a meticulously crafted narrative work. The result is a high-impact fusion of cinema, sampling, and storytelling that pushes the Zeds Dead mythos even further.

Channel Flipping 2: Only You blends cultural moments from artists such as Nas, Three 6 Mafia, John Lennon, The Platters, Midnight Cowboy, Lupe Fiasco, and more. Each sequence blends hip-hop grit, dubstep weight, and widescreen emotionality into a seamless voyage through collective memory and modern bass culture. The piece channels Zeds Dead’s long-standing reverence for sample history while reframing it with their signature cinematic flair. Every flip, cut, and transition reinforces their ability to collide nostalgia with new-age sound design.

Much like RSIH itself, the project functions as far more than a rework or extended edit. It operates as a full intermedia concept, bridging sound and story with the duo’s trademark DIY ethos. The mashup’s evolution from a crowd-shaking Red Rocks moment into a narrative film underscores Zeds Dead’s continued growth as both sonic innovators and visionary filmmakers. In a scene often oversaturated with spectacle, the duo remains driven by substance, risk-taking, and boundless creative curiosity.

For over a decade, Zeds Dead have helped shape the global landscape of electronic music. Since forming in 2009, their sprawling catalogue has amassed hundreds of millions of streams and cultivated a global, fiercely dedicated community. Their ambitious live concepts, from the Deadbeats Tour to the annual DeadRocks takeover at Red Rocks, have further solidified their legacy. With Channel Flipping 2: Only You, the duo once again pushes their universe into new creative territory—one where genre dissolves, nostalgia becomes world-building, and audiovisual experimentation drives the culture forward.

Cool Customer Unveils New EP ‘Thank You For Holding’

After teasing fans with two new releases, “The MF” and “Peppermint,” at the beginning of October, fans have been anxious for another full project from Cool Customer. Well, he just delivered his new EP, Thank You For Holding. With five tracks, including the two singles, the EP showcases Cool Customer’s signature groovy, glitch-hop vibe as a pioneer in experimental bass. Blending distorted textures, nostalgic flips, and hip-hop influence, the project brings out the core of Cool Customer’s style: a mix of weird and heavy, of playful and precise.

I can’t wait to release this one,” said Cool Customer. “It’s been a while since I’ve shared an extended body of work, and creating this five-track EP was an extremely challenging and personal journey. I included some brand-new songs, plus a few tunes from both of my ‘Customer Service’ mixes. This one really means a lot to me.

The EP opens with “Say What,” a glitchy experimental bass track with a groovy bassline and a fun sample that drops in an old instruction manual video. “The MF” comes next with a chill, groovy intro that flips into a hard-hitting drop with the “The MF” lyric before settling into a more atmospheric ending. “Peppermint” leans into a heavier sound with layered distortion and an ending that feels almost sinister, especially with the peppermint patty sample mixed in.

“Hunky Dory” brings in another heavy bass cut made to get the dance floor moving weirdly. The final track, the EP’s namesake, brings a more upbeat vibe and closes the project in a way that feels complete and satisfying.

Thank You For Holding arrives on the heels of two huge moments in his career, including supporting Tape B’s debut at Red Rocks in October and making his own debut at Griz’s sold-out Seven Stars Festival. He will also join tour dates on national tours for Tape B and OPIUO through the end of 2025.

Get To Know Nikita, the Wicked Before Hulaween 2025

As attendees begin making their way into Hulaween this afternoon, it is only right to highlight another incredibly talented artist taking the stage this weekend: Nikita, the Wicked. Bringing a beautifully dark vibe to Suwannee Music Park, Halloween weekend is the perfect backdrop to fulfill his immersive sonic experience with an unmatched and contagious stage presence. Don’t miss his set on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. at the Off Limits Stage.

Deemed the “villain conductor of dance music,” Nikita has evolved from future bass to exploring more of the bass and trap scene. All while curating a powerful and dramatic persona rooted in “finding the beauty in the imperfect, the elegance in the twisted, the grace within the chaos.” He draws inspiration from artists such as ISOXO, Skrillex, Apashe, MF Doom, Pluko, and surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.

In 2025, Nikita has made his debut at more than a dozen music festivals. Those included Lost Lands, Project Glow, Illfest, Northern Nights, Infrasound, Goldrush, and others. He has also supported multiple iconic acts, including Zeds Dead,  SLANDER, Illenium, Levity, REZZ, and Jauz.

With a highly anticipated EP on the way, Nikita, The Wicked gave fans a sneak peek earlier this month at what’s to come with his new track “LOOK.”  Released on Helix Records, it features Eli Grace and transforms classical samples with a bass-driven, genre-defying raw energy. This culminates in his trademark dark and cinematic sound. He is releasing the EP, titled Blinded By Vanity, in November. It is expected to embody Nikita’s signature orchestral flair.

“I really enjoy the juxtaposition of the eerie choir sample from the 1900s and UKG drums on this track,” said Nikita, the Wicked. “Emi’s vocals provided a lot of space in the mix which makes this such a unique yet minimal bass record. This record will be the first glimpse of this villainous conductor character I have created.”

As Hulaween weekend kicks off, Nikita, the Wicked will deliver one of the most electrifying sets of the festival. After Hulaween, the journey continues with a stop at Soundcheck in Washington, D.C. on October 31 for his debut headline show. You can also catch him at Escape Halloween in San Bernardino on November 1. For the rest of November, he will be at EDSea in Miami from November 1–6, The Eastern in Atlanta with TroyBoi on November 14, and Spin Nightclub in San Diego with Taiki Nulight on December 5. He will be ending the year at Lights All Night in Dallas on December 30. Get ready because the wicked season is just getting started.

Get To Know Future Joy Before Hulaween 2025

Another day closer to Hulaween 2025, and another artist you can’t miss: Future Joy. The DJ power couple, Emily Cooper and Zach Simms, are bringing their vibrant, high-energy sets to Suwannee Music Park this weekend. Returning for their fifth Hula performance, this year’s set marks their debut on the fan-favorite Amphitheater Stage, where fans can catch them at 4:45 PM on Thursday. They’re unveiling a Toy Story theme this time around, inviting fans to get creative with costumes and join the adventure.

Hailing from St. Petersburg, Florida and Denver, Colorado, Future Joy blends elements of house, funk, drum and bass, jazz, and more with their signature vocals and live instrumentation. Both Cooper and Simms play keys, sing, and DJ, while Simms brings extra funk with tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones. Known for getting the dance floor moving and building genuine connections through music and joy, Future Joy is quickly becoming the soundtrack to elevating both mind and soul.

Future Joy has been on a festival roll, performing at some of the most iconic events across the country. Apart from Hulaween, they’ve taken the stage at Bonnaroo, Joshua Tree, Treefort, Elements, Secret Dreams, Resonate, and more. The duo has also played direct support for artists like Manic Focus, BoomBox, Sunsquabi, The Polish Ambassador, Moon Hooch, and Marvel Years, among others.

To wrap up the summer, they released their debut full-length studio album “NOW” in July, a 13-track journey that reflects their deep love and musical connection as they travel the country performing from their RV. Having recently tied the knot at Joyful Festival in February, that raw emotional energy shines through, giving the album an intimate and heartfelt touch. At its core, “NOW” is also a celebration of living fully in the present moment, capturing the joy, spontaneity, and gratitude that define both their music and their lives.

We can’t wait to catch Future Joy’s signature sax-infused energy at Hulaween this weekend! See you at their set on Thursday, October 30, at 4:45 PM on The Amphitheater Stage.

If you can’t get enough after Suwannee, the music doesn’t stop there! The duo will keep the vibes rolling with upcoming shows at Asheville Music Hall on December 31, Animas City Theatre in Durango, CO on January 17, Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO on January 18, Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station on January 23, and Joyful 2026 in St. Petersburg, FL on January 31. Get To Know WonkyWilla Before Hulaween 2025

With Hulaween 2025 only days away, it’s time to spotlight some of the artists who will make this weekend at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park both haunting and magical—starting with none other than WonkyWilla. Just a year after attending the festival as a fan, he’s now set to make his Hulaween debut on the Hallows Stage from 7:10 to 7:50 p.m. In the midst of his Galactic Circus Tour—which spans over 30 stops across the U.S.—WonkyWilla’s set is one you won’t want to miss.

This has been a breakout year for WonkyWilla. Following his Get Wonked tour and a stacked debut festival season—featuring appearances at Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, Electric Forest, Ubbi Dubbi, Dancefestopia, WAKAAN, ILLfest, Same Same But Different, and Sound Haven—he’s quickly become one of the most exciting new names in bass music. Now, his Galactic Circus Tour brings his wonky and colorful signature sound to iconic venues like Webster Hall (NYC), Showbox (Seattle), Crystal Ballroom (Portland), Gods & Monsters (San Francisco), The Roxy (Los Angeles), and a two-night takeover at Denver’s Ogden Theatre this November.

“This tour is inspired by the magic and chaos of the circus,” said Wonky Willa, “where every moment feels larger than life. I want to bring that same sense of wonder into the WonkyWilla-verse, where it feels like stepping into a twisted sci-fi candy land. My hope is that each night feels like joining the greatest show in the galaxy.”

Beyond his performances, WonkyWilla is channeling his energy into philanthropy. On Wednesday, November 26, he’ll host The Wonksgiving Charity Event at Vulcan Gas Company in Austin, Texas. Partnering with Texas CASA, $2 from each ticket will go toward supporting the organization’s work in providing training, resources, and advocacy for children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Fans can also take part by donating to WonkyWilla’s food and clothing drive, further showcasing his dedication to using music as a force for good. The drive supports local families in need, and those who contribute will be entered to win a signed merch package and two tickets to ILLfest 2026—a perfect way to give back while keeping the festival spirit alive.

“Wonksgiving was inspired by the idea of bringing people together around music” said WonkyWilla, “the same way families gather around the table for the holidays. I wanted to create a show that feels like both a celebration and a homecoming for the community. Beyond the music, we are tying it to charitable initiatives because giving back is at the heart of what this season represents. My hope is that everyone leaves feeling connected, uplifted, and part of something bigger than themselves.”

Grab your tickets for WonkyWilla’s Wonksgiving here.

BVRRN And DijahSB Crash The Glass On “Rebound”

Up and coming DJ/producer BVRRN teams up with DijahSB for infectious pop-house anthem “Rebound.” Set to release on Brainjack, “Rebound” is BVRRN’s third release with the coveted label. “Rebound” is a fantastic example of modern genre fusion, executed with surgical precision. The track is both a hard-hitting club weapon and a lyrically compelling rap song that feels both relevant and personal.

BVRRN // Photo Courtesy: Brainjack

BVRRN’s production can be best described by its kinetic energy and impeccable sound design. The beat is defined by a deep, almost rubbery bassline, containing a modulated synth that acts less like background support and more like a second melodic lead. Engineering songs in this fashion is BVRRN’s specialty, with the bassline hitting with percussive weight while retaining an elastic, melodic quality. The rhythmic backbone of “Rebound” is anchored by four-on-the-floor kicks, but the crucial element is the precision-cut, high-frequency shuffling hi-hats and delayed percussion accents. This complex structure allows the track to feel both driving and exceptionally bouncy.

DijahSB // Photo Courtesy: Brainjack

DijahSB’s delivery is smooth, conversational, and carries a wry, knowing wit, seamlessly riding the complex, fast-paced rhythm without ever sounding rushed. They excel at using highly specific, observational lines that make the listener feel like they are sharing a casual conversation, reinforcing their position as a voice for those navigating modern life’s anxieties and triumphs. This lyrical depth is what transforms “Rebound” from a standard club track into a lasting anthem.

Dive deeper into the worlds of BVRRN and DijahSB by following them and blasting their music through the links below. Their careers are expanding, so prepare to be swept away in a world of immaculate vibes and phenomenal music. Also, make sure to find “Rebound” headlining our New Music Friday playlist this week!

LYNY’s Debut Album ‘Noise To Dance To’ Redefines His Sound

Following a multi-year run of collaborations and high-energy singles, LYNY finally delivered his debut album, Noise To Dance To, last week on October 17. The Chicago-born artist delivers an incredible showcase of his evolution, pushing his signature sound into fresh, uncharted territory, while balancing creativity and experimentation with familiarity.

Noise To Dance To exemplifies LYNY’s growth as an artist, while still effortlessly maintaining the signature LYNY sound his fans have come to love. LYNY’s sound has always been raw, gritty, and unique, which has helped him to stand out in what seems to be a never-ending ocean of bass talents.

The Lead Single: “Section”

The project features 11 tracks, which are all new, unreleased songs except for the lead single, “Section.” The song manipulates a vocal sample from Benny Benassi’s classic, “Satisfaction,” warping it to fit his aesthetic using his gritty LYNY bass and funky sound design.

The Classic LYNY Vibe

Tracks like “Step To It,” “Fire,” “Breaker,” and the Cozy Kev-collab “Triumph” bring that classic LYNY energy and are reminiscent of the early releases that helped him grow his audience over the years. His collaborations with PEEKABOO from last year come to mind, including his remix of “Bumpin'” and their collaboration on “Like That.” Those tracks would sound right at home within the first half of the album.

Pushing Boundaries

As the project unfolds, one can hear LYNY at his most adventurous. He spends the remainder of the album exploring new sounds and genres, particularly with “Sellout” and “King,” two raw, gritty drum & bass cuts that accelerate the project’s momentum. As the album progresses, Noise To Dance To begins to take shape as more than just a bass record. LYNY experiments with tempo, rhythm, and sound design throughout the project, and comes off as confident throughout, bridging his underground bass roots with elements from more mainstream influences to create something truly special.

The middle of the record shows off even more versatility, as LYNY fuses heavy trap and house elements on “Remember,” “Rude,” and “Money.” All three are fun, high-energy tracks that would set fire to any dance floor. “Money” stands out in particular, a vibrant trap anthem that channels the style and energy of many of the releases from trap-trailblazers like Knock2 and ISOXO.

Immediately following those high-energy tracks lies “Heard You,” a complete contrast to the previous tracks. “Heard You” slows the tempo and dives into a moodier space. Euphoric, heavy, atmospheric synths are highlighted alongside emotional vocals and synth chops, creating a cinematic atmosphere. It allows the listener to stop and breathe for a brief moment before nose-diving right back into the high-BPM drum & bass chaos of “Sellout.”

LYNY’s Studio Mindset

Beneath all the bass and energy, Noise To Dance To feels like a celebration of the creative process itself. It’s a record born from the joy of experimenting, a theme LYNY directly acknowledged when reflecting on the making of the album through an Instagram post last week.

We had this sort of comical saying we always said in the studios when things got a bit too technical or hard: ‘we’re really just making noise on a computer,’ and I think that somehow has done wonders for us.

It’s that playful, casual, and experimental mindset that defines Noise To Dance To.

The Finale: “Digital Runaway”

Closing the album is “Digital Runaway,” a remarkable finale that trades the heavy bass elements throughout the project for emotion and melody. An euphoric vocal sample rides over the nostalgic melodies that come together to create a true classic festival banger, reminiscent of hits from the early 2010s EDM era.

“Digital Runaway” is the perfect ending to a project that celebrates and highlights LYNY’s creativity, growth, and development as an artist, and the joy that he feels in creating exactly what this project was meant to be: Noise To Dance To.

LYNY’s Next Chapter

With Noise To Dance To, LYNY wasn’t just trying to cement his place in bass music; he’s completely redefining his sound and versatility as an artist. He’ll hit the road on a nationwide tour for the new album starting in November, working alongside the California-based event brand Brownies & Lemonade for tour support. From start to finish, the creativity and excitement can be felt within every track, and it’s obvious that this album was just as fun for LYNY to make as it is for the listener to experience. Don’t miss out on a chance to hear it live; tickets are on sale now.
