After months of waiting and receiving support from the likes of John Summit, Westend, and Disco Lines, the Grammy-nominated SIDEPIECE duo of Dylan Ragland (Party Favor) and Ricky Mears (Nitti) has dropped its tech-house club banger, “Electric Bongo.”
SIDEPIECE has a reputation for creating dancefloor weapons, and “Electric Bongo” is exactly that. The track has been a mainstay in the duo’s sets for months and was first teased during the set at The Concourse Project in Austin, Texas.
Since then, the track has been featured consistently throughout its “Sex Sells” tour and was even mixed during John Summit’s incredible 8-hour Club Space set.
Summit obviously enjoyed spinning the ID, and this morning it was released under Summit’s Experts Only label, following other notable club killers that have received praise from tech-house artists everywhere, such as Disco Lines and Ship Wrek’s “I Don’t Trust A Soul,” and Danny Avila’s “YES B!TCH.”
The boys finish August in Brazil and Argentina before a torrid week to start September. They headline Breakaway Music Festival and host an afterparty in Massachusetts on Friday the 5th, hit Sun Soaked 2025 at Huntington Beach, CA on Saturday the 6th and close it out with a late-night Vegas party at LIV on Sunday the 7th. SIDEPIECE heads back to the Southern Hemisphere with a handful of shows in Australia and New Zealand for most of November before the holiday run.
“Electric Bongo” delivers exactly what the title promises — percussive-heavy grooves, electro-tech rhythms, a sensational bassline, and a catchy bongo that’s sure to be a familiar sound in tech-house sets for years to come.
