S2O Festival US Debut Splashing Success

Labor Day Weekend in New York City brought the American debut of the famed S2O water festival. Pulse Events turned The Brooklyn Mirage and Avant Gardner into a summer festival destination for the Thai Songkran celebration. Marshmello, Subtronics, Timmy Trumpet, and ARMNHMR highlighted a stacked two-day lineup.

The main stage at The Brooklyn Mirage featured five headline artists each day, complemented by a pair of local Asian-American artists making their debut in front of the big screen. The stage was equipped with spiral water guns and strong water cannons, soaking the eager festivalgoers. Then when the sun went down, a row of pyrotechnics lit up the night with fireworks and flames. Nothing like a festival atmosphere to bring international icons like Timmy Trumpet to New York for his Brooklyn Mirage debut.

For those who needed a break from the water cannons, Kings Hall offered a side stage with more local Asian-American DJs and producers The Great Hall added to the festival atmosphere with S2O and artist merch for the event and a place for people to sit and take a break away from the music. The gourmet food court provided pizzas, sandwiches, and tenders to round out the day-night party.

Pulse Events has mastered the ability to transform New York’s biggest nightclub into an immersive festival, starting with their successful Spring Festival earlier this year at Avant Gardner. Now with S2O Festival, it’s got another splashing success, bringing the Thai tradition into the thick of US festival season. From what I saw in the crowd, it looked like ecstatic fans will be ready for more S2O when, hopefully, it comes back next year.

Now all eyes turn to Pulse Events’ next big party in Brooklyn for Winter Festival, featuring Adventure Club and a pair of marquee back-to-back sets on November 16. To keep up with all the latest news from one of New York’s leading event brands, use the social links below.

S2O Festival To Debut In America At Brooklyn Mirage

Pulse Events is partnering with S2O to bring the world’s wettest music festival to The Brooklyn Mirage for its American debut. One of Asia’s most coveted event brands, S2O, has held its Songkran (Thai New Year) celebration in Asian countries like Thailand, Japan, China, and South Korea. This Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, S2O makes its way to New York City with a stacked lineup!

Making his Pulse Events debut, GRAMMY-nominated artist Marshmello will headline Day 1, along with support from Alan Walker, Timmy Trumpet, and many more. For the Day 2 headliner, Pulse Events turns to Subtronics, who recently played S2O Thailand earlier this year. Said the Sky b2b William Black is another highlight of Day 2. Check out the full lineup on the event flyer below.

Since S2O’s inception in Bangkok in 2015, the event brand has gained recognition for its innovative blend of water effects and EDM. The festival concept harnesses the power of water as an elemental force of joy and unity while transcending cultural boundaries to create immersive experiences for attendees worldwide. Both S2O Thailand and S2O Taiwan placed in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals 2023 list.

Pulse Events also got started in 2015 and has become an expert in the Asian-American electronic music market, specializing in concerts and live performances across North America. Already this year, Pulse Events has thrown a successful two-day Spring Festival celebration of the Lunar New Year at The Brooklyn Mirage and sold out two nights of Martin Garrix at The Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Ticket presale registration is available now and will close on Monday, May 13. Then the ticket presale starts on Tuesday, May 14 with the general ticket sale starting a day later on May 15. Labor Day weekend is just a few months away and these tickets are going to go quickly, so don’t delay! For everything else, connect with Pulse Events and S2O using the handy links below.
