DEAFNY & HEXXA Drop “Twin Flame” On BIN

DEAFNY and HEXXA have merged their respective sounds to create “Twin Flame,” an explosive, bass-heavy track featuring DEAFNY’s celestial, melodic touch. Released on the acclaimed Beat Intelligence Network (BIN), “TWIN FLAME” represents a clash of two energies, showcasing the push and pull between opposing forces. The contrast between these energies is visualized in the artwork—the merging of the pink and purple butterfly side with the fiery red, the dark and light, the chaos and the calm, revealing a story of forces destined to align.

‘Twin Flame’ came together so naturally,” HEXXA said. “When DEAFNY originally sent me the idea, I immediately knew the direction we were going to take the collab in, which sometimes isn’t easiest off the bat. We understood each other’s energy and writing style — powerful, cinematic, emotional. It’s about finding that rare person who matches your fire, your passion.

Known for her ability to blend atmospheric melodies with heavy bass, DEAFNY brings powerful depth to the track, while HEXXA fuses it with high-energy basslines that are sure to get crowds dancing. “Twin Flame” takes listeners on a journey from chaos to calm, evolving from earth-shaking drops to melodic, emotional moments.

‘Twin Flame’ is a very special collaboration for me,” DEAFNY said. “From the beginning, I envisioned a powerful track that brought together two strong female artists, and this song truly captures that vision. It strikes a perfect balance between a delicate, emotional melody and a bold, explosive drop. It’s been a pleasure working with HEXXA —her energy and creativity elevated the track even further. There’s no doubt in my mind that this song is going to blow people away.

Timeless Meets Tech House: John Summit Drops Cutting-Edge Remix of “Silence”

Chicago-born producer and DJ John Summit continues to push boundaries and cement himself as one of the biggest names in EDM with his most recent release. An electric, tech-house remix of Delerium’s “Silence,” originally released in 1997.

The track in question was most notably previously remixed by EDM legend Tiesto in 2000. His version of the track was voted by Mixmag readers as the 12th greatest dance track of all time. According to Summit’s Instagram, the song was made for his first-ever arena show at Madison Square Garden in June.

Coming over 25 years after the original song’s release, Summit’s rendition adds a modern feel to the timeless trance/dance track. Infusing his signature tech-house beats and synths with ethereal vocals from Sarah McLachlan to create a fusion that not only pays homage to the legendary track, but also adds a fresh new spin of energy that is sure to set the dancefloor ablaze.

Summit’s “Silence” remix innovates and reinvents a timeless classic while still managing to show reverence and keep the magic of the original track. It showcases his ability to bridge the past and present of EDM.

“As a longtime raver and trance fan, it’s an absolute honor to remix ‘Silence’ by Delerium,” Summit said in his press release. “It’s hard to give justice to such a classic, but I think Sarah McLachlan’s powerful vocals along with my trance infused modern tech house production helps bring this song to life in this current era and I’m so stoked to share this one with the world.”

This release comes on the tail end of three other massive releases in 2025 from the tech-house giant. “Lightyears,” featuring Inéz, “Focus,” featuring CLOVES, and a second remix of Anyma and Ellie Goulding’s “Hypnotized.”

Summit most recently announced his biggest arena show to date. He will be headlining Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, which has a capacity of over 40,000. Keep up with John Summit by using the links below.

Big Gigantic Drops 2 Tracks Ahead Of New Album ‘Fluorescence’

Big Gigantic, the funky, genre-blending duo from Colorado, is ushering in a new era with the release of not one, but two new singles. Known for their signature sound, which consists of saxophone and live drums, they have returned with an arsenal of new music ready for festival stages. “Move Around” and “Free Spirits (featuring ALIGN)” offer the first glimpse into their upcoming third full-length album, Fluorescence.

“Move Around” starts with bouncy claps reminiscent of Diplo’s “Express Yourself” before their tried-and-true funky saxophone and dubstep-inspired guitars take over. “‘Move Around’ is our shout-out to New Orleans bounce and a nod to funky bass music—an infectious invitation for everyone to get loose on the dance floor,” says Dominic Lalli (saxophone/production).

On the flip side, “Free Spirits,” featuring rising producer ALIGN, glides into electro-soul territory. With soulful saxophone solos, chopped vocals, and funky guitar, they’ve created a festival-ready anthem. ALIGN, who recently opened for Big Gigantic at Red Rocks, called the collaboration “a perfect fit.” He also said he was “inspired by their set and the funky psychedelic ideas it gave me.”

Fluorescence, according to the duo, is “all fun, light and positivity—a celebration of the boundless energy that makes dance music and festival culture feel so alive.” Big G will experience the rush of playing their new music this summer, including two sets at Bonnaroo with one of them at the new 360° Infinity Stage. Their flagship event, Rowdytown, will also return to Red Rocks for its 13th consecutive sell-out on September 27.

Bringing Me Down By Effin: His Most Requested ID Yet

Effin is back with one of the most demanded IDs of his career, and it hits like a freight train. Out now, “Bringing Me Down” has dominated his live sets for months, stirring up chaos at every stop. It’s the track that grabs you fast, pulls you under, and doesn’t let go.

Coming in as the second single of his newest album, the track fuses vintage textures with forward-thinking bass design, delivering a track that’s both nostalgic and razor-sharp. The synths feel retro, the basslines hit with modern weight, and the emotional undertow is undeniable. Effin says,

My most requested unreleased song of all time, this one has been the highest point in all my sets. This one pulls you in and throws you for a ride – vintage, but heavy. This one represents everything Effin.”

“Bringing Me Down” arrives on the heels of two major collaborations: the genre-melting “DIZZY SPELL” with LSDREAM and the vibey “Ups and Downs” with Tape B. But this solo effort feels especially personal. It’s a raw distillation of the sound Effin’s been building: cinematic, emotional, and unapologetically bold.

Effin has carved out a distinct lane in electronic music with his cinematic flair, retro-futuristic textures, and meticulous sound design. “Bringing Me Down” perfectly captures this spirit—a track that’s both a throwback and a glimpse into the future.

Looking ahead, Effin’s set to make major appearances at Bonnaroo and Shambhala this summer. And with his next project, Daydreams, on the horizon, the Nashville-based producer is poised to push bass music further into uncharted territory. If Cheap Thrills showed us what he’s capable of, Daydreams promises to blow it wide open.

With a relentless drive to push boundaries and a sound all his own, he’s not just riding the wave—he’s designing the future of bass, one throwback-soaked banger at a time. This track marks the start of a bold new era for Effin as he gears up for his next chapter. Stay locked in and connect with Effin’s socials below so you never miss a drop!

Monday Musings – May 5, 2025

Moon Lvnding’s Monday Musings returns for Cinco De Mayo with more exciting news and announcements that captured our attention.

Big Name Collabs

A couple of singles dropped last Friday that featured some powerhouse collaborations. The most notable was “What You Need” from Destructo & MxNxSTxR featuring Thundercat and Channel Tres. MxNxSTxR is the side project of Ty Dolla $ign, and this new track is a follow up to his previous collab with Destructo, “All Of Me.” The new tune has elements of R&B and disco, which highlight the song’s funky rhythm. The vocals from Thundercat and Channel Tres add depth and feeling to the track. It is definitely “What You Need,” so give it a play and enjoy.

The other notable collab, “Hunter,” came from dubstep prodigy Subtronics and UK rapper Flowdan. Hot on the heels of his Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion EP, Subtronics delighted fans with this new release, which he played live with Flowdan at his “Deadbeats vs. Cyclops Recordings” event at Miami Music Week. Subtronics and Flowdan also rewarded those able to attend Cyclops Rocks V at Red Rocks this past April with live performances of “Hunter” on both nights. This is their second collab after the resounding success of their first, “Gassed Up,” in 2022.

Artists Performing Live Shows

Although many EDM artists play DJ sets while on tour or at a festival, others lean into the artistry of playing instruments and singing vocals to complement their pre-produced tunes. One example that immediately comes to mind is Elephante, who incorporated live performances into his “COPE” Tour. He even spoke to Moon Lvnding about the experience of playing live shows in a recent episode of The Launch Pad filmed during Miami Music Week.

Gryffin is another artist with plenty of experience playing live shows on tour. Moon Lvnding was fortunate to catch up with Gryffin on his “PULSE” Tour last fall at Forest Hills Stadium. Now, Gryffin is back on the road, completing the final performances of the “PULSE PHASE 2” tour. He’ll play at The Pinnacle in Nashville, TN on May 10 before the two-show finale in New York at The Brooklyn Mirage on June 26 + 27.

About The Brooklyn Mirage

The landmark New York City nightclub destination made the news last week because it failed to open on time after the huge off-season remodel. EDM fans across the nation were looking forward to the debut of the hi-tech renovations with two nights of Sara Landry’s Eternalism, Cityfox’s full-venue takeover, and the first date of Black Coffee’s residency. But those plans were put on hold as Avant Gardner, the company that operates The Brooklyn Mirage, did not receive the necessary permits to host the shows for opening weekend.

Avant Gardner refunded all tickets, and Sara Landry was able to host her shows at alternative NYC venues. Plans for this upcoming weekend at The Brooklyn Mirage, including a day-night double-header performance from Cloonee, remain in question. Avant Gardner promised more updates as the week progresses and assured followers that events inside The Great Hall are unaffected. We remain optimistic that The Brooklyn Mirage will receive the necessary permits to host events this weekend, so be sure to follow Moon Lvnding on social media for the latest updates as this story continues to unfold.

VRG Giving “attitude!” On Latest Single

If dubstep had a face, VRG just slapped it with a brick made of bass. Tomorrow, on April 25, his new single “attitude!” drops, and it isn’t here to make friends—it’s here to dominate! From the first second, you know you’re in for a ride. The low end doesn’t wobble—it growls. The drops don’t fall—they punch through concrete. There’s zero fluff, just straight-up chaos designed to rattle your ribcage and blow the dust out of your skull.

VRG’s February release, “escapeplan,” showed flashes of a darker and more calculated direction; this new single cranks everything up. Every drop feels like a brick through the windshield, unapologetic and precise. It’s engineered for chaos and built for volume.

What sets “attitude!” apart is its confidence. VRG isn’t just layering noise over a beat. He’s crafting a statement with intention and edge. Each sound is a move, and the track never stops pushing forward. It’s relentless, gritty, and dripping with the kind of energy that makes you want to turn it up past ten and let the walls shake. Check out this snippet of VRG commanding the crowd’s attention:

Video Credit: VRG Official

It’s already turning heads, with none other than our girl LAYZ throwing it down in her sets. But that’s not all, this release also marks the first chapter in something bigger. “attitude!” leads the charge on a seven-track EP, AGAINSTALLODDS, that’s currently in the works.

“Turn up the volume and get ready to dive into the electrifying world of heavy dubstep with ‘attitude!’ It’s the perfect blend of aggressive basslines, heavy drops, and an unstoppable rhythm that will fuel your adrenaline,” VRG shared. “Whether you’re pushing through a tough workout, gearing up for a night out, or just need to shake off the stress of the day, ‘attitude!’ delivers the attitude you need to conquer anything in your way. This track demands attention and brings the heat to become the ultimate soundtrack for your power moves.”

As the first glimpse into his upcoming seven-track EP, “attitude!” sets the tone with teeth bared. VRG isn’t just making tracks—he’s building a catalog that hits like a sledgehammer and be making statements. Don’t wait for the hype to find you—presave the madness, stay tapped, and be there when the next one drops.

Rusko’s ‘1 Man Army’ Tour Takes On NYC

Dubstep legend Rusko has been making waves in 2025 with his new EP, 1 Man Army. Moon Lvnding covered his initial release of the lead single “Wassup” back in November 2024. Rusko then closed out February 2025 by releasing the full 5-track EP on Monstercat.

The EP starts with the title track, “1 Man Army” to set the tone. The EP demonstrates Rusko’s shifting influence from dubstep to drum and bass while staying true to his melodic production skills. Songs two and three are “Wassup” and “Rubix Cube,” the two tracks released before the full EP. They continue Rusko’s sonic journey through the depths of DnB.

The EP continues with “Bout Your Love,” which feels like Rusko’s open letter to a genre he has helped define over the years. He finishes the EP with “GANJAMAN,” an important person who helps take the edge off for many of us in the EDM community. The song starts slowly, heats up to a frenetic pace, and then cools back off before the big, energetic ending.

Creating this EP was a mission that began with a simple desire to explore more areas of my love for drum and bass,” Rusko shared. “Over the past 19 years, I’ve been experimenting with new sounds, genres, and emotions — and this collection is a reflection of the vibes and feelings of this past year as Rusko. From the groovy basslines of ‘Rubix Cube’ and ‘1 Man Army’ to the wonky melodies of ‘Bout Your Love’, I tried to keep the element of fun and hype at the forefront, as it has been throughout my musical projects; a colorful burst of hyperactive energy and melody that is the truest representation of my feelings through the last 12 months.

Rusko has also been over in the States, touring with his new tunes since the start of 2025. He notably played Exchange LA on Friday, February 28, for his album release party. Now with only five dates left on his initial 1 Man Army tour, things are heating up on the East Coast with shows in Washington DC on Thursday, April 24, and Brooklyn on Friday, April 25. Limited tickets remain for these shows as well as the last three stops in Atlanta, Denver, and St. Louis.

If you can’t make it out to see this tour, you’re in luck because Rusko will be busy making festival appearances all summer. To keep up with all the latest news and announcements from Rusko about new shows, new music, and everything else, be sure to follow his social media below.

Ray Volpe’s “PAYBACK” Hits Hard

You know that moment in a set when the bass drops, and the entire crowd collectively loses their mind? There’s a good chance it was to Ray Volpe’s “PAYBACK!” He just wrapped touring for VOLPEVERSE, his biggest headline tour to date. Now, he’s dropping the most anticipated track of his career.

Following the chaos of “GET SMACKED,” today’s new tune brings a fresh flavor to his arsenal. Volpe flexes his bass house muscle without losing an ounce of bite. The rhythm slaps, the bass snarls, and the hook refuses to leave your brain. After dominating dubstep, Volpe storms into house territory like he owns it. And honestly? He just might.

“I’ve been teasing ‘PAYBACK’ for over two years now and still get messages about it every day,” Volpe shared. “I’m blown away at all the love this track is already getting; I knew this had to be the next single from my debut album. This one’s a fun catchy bass house tune! I think the melody is one of my favorites I’ve come up with & the vocals that were added in are really the cherry on top.”

Photo Credit: Omar Salah // @omarmaliksalah

Volpe never stays in one lane. He built his name on dubstep, but he reinvents his sound with every release. “PAYBACK” feels fresh, explosive, and ready for every mainstage. It’s the kind of track that breaks sets wide open. DJs have been rinsing it for nearly two years, and now fans finally have it for their collections and playlists. 2025’s already stacked with high-impact sets from Ray. The Volpetron isn’t just headlining—he’s leveling up. And every crowd is louder than the last.

“PAYBACK” keeps building the momentum behind his debut album, FOREVER, VOLPETRON. Volpe’s not sticking to one genre — he’s ripping through all of them. Every track packs purpose, energy, and surprise. If “PAYBACK” sets the tone, the rest of the album is about to go nuclear. As FOREVER, VOLPETRON continues to unfold, expect the unexpected and brace for more genre-defying heat. Follow Volpe on all socials so you never miss a beat, a drop, or a surprise ID turning into the next festival anthem.
