Breakaway Music Festival Heading To Arizona!

Arizona has been gaining traction as new festivals and weekend takeovers fill up the 2025 calendar. Breakaway Music Festival, Celsius, and Relentless Beats are teaming up for the festival’s debut at Sloan Park on April 18 – 19. Breakaway added six new markets to its roster this year: Dallas, Alabama, Phoenix, Atlanta, Philidelphia, and an unannounced location in northern California. Stephen Kushnir, Relentless Beats Vice President of Growth Strategy, released the comment,

“We are excited to welcome Breakaway Festival to Arizona and to be a part of their first event here. Our two like-minded brands pair well together, and fans can anticipate a great event.”

Breakaway Music Festival has the mindset that it’s all about building community through music and Moon Lvnding couldn’t agree more! Co-founder Adam Lynn shared how thrilled they are to expand Breakaway across the West Coast. “We can’t wait to make Phoenix a part of the growing festival family.”

Between the vibrant nightlife and passion for dance music, our hometown of Phoenix is the perfect destination. As part of its inaugural Arizona edition, Breakaway announced major headliners The Chainsmokers, Gryffin, Sofi Tukker, and Two Friends, but the stellar lineup doesn’t end there. With diverse support featuring long-time favorites: PEEKABOO Levity, Cyclops, and so many more, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Now’s the time to be a part of Arizona EDM history at the first Breakaway in State 48. Tickets are on sale through the festival website. Who are you most excited to see? Let us know and be sure to follow Breakaway Music Festival for the most up-to-date information on the festival!

PROPER NYE/NYD: Lane 8, Anjunadeep, & This Never Happened

As we gear up for New Year’s Eve, PROPER NYE/NYD in San Diego is shaping up to be one of the season’s most anticipated events. Hosted by FNGRS CRSSD on December 31 + January 1, 2025, this year’s lineup delivers something extra memorable. The star of the show? None other than Lane 8, backed by two iconic record label takeovers: Anjunadeep and This Never Happened.

Whether you’re familiar with Lane 8’s transformative sound or not, this event offers something truly special. Let’s delve into what makes this New Year’s Eve event so unique.

Who is Lane 8?

Denver-based DJ and producer Daniel Goldstein, known on stage as Lane 8, has captivated listeners with his melodic house music since 2012. His style, characterized by an ebb and flow of deep emotional resonance, turns every track into an emotional journey. Whether collaborating with vocalists or crafting instrumentals, Lane 8’s work is more than any old track one might hear at the club—it pulls the listener into a full narrative.

After his early successes and the release of his debut album Rise in 2015 (featuring artists like Matthew Dear, Solomon Grey, and Patrick Baker), Lane 8 founded his own label and event series, This Never Happened, and unsurprisingly, has been a successful touring artist since.

What about Anjunadeep?

Anjunadeep, the label where Lane 8 initially rose to fame, was founded in 2005 by Above & Beyond and their manager, James Grant. It began as a platform to explore the deeper and more progressive sounds found in their club sets. Anjunadeep has since become one of the most respected names in dance music, known for its diverse and authentic sound. With over 600 releases spanning melodic house, electronic, ambient, and techno, it has nurtured the careers of Lane 8 and countless other successful artists. The label also regularly hosts global events, including its own destination festival in Albania, Anjunadeep Explorations Festival, and has sold out popular venues like London’s Printworks and New York’s Brooklyn Mirage.

And This Never Happened?

This Never Happened, the record label and event series created by Lane 8, was born from a desire to foster deeper connections between the audience and the music. The event series centers on one simple but powerful idea: leave your phone, experience the moment, and let the music be your focus. The concept asks attendees to disconnect from their phones during the show. No, phones are not confiscated, but they are tucked away with the help of camera stickers or phone pouches, encouraging participants to embrace the experience fully and stay free from distraction.

It’s a bold move in today’s digital age, but one that has garnered overwhelming acceptance by fans. The energy at a This Never Happened show is unlike any other—pure, immersive, and entirely focused on the music and the collective experience. And no, just because one wasn’t able to snap a photo or video doesn’t mean it never happened.

Lane 8’s albums Brightest Lights (2020) and Reviver (2022) showcase his signature sound, with tracks like “Survive,” “Brightest Lights,” “Road,” “The Flood,” and “Don’t Let Me Go” becoming fan favorites. You can expect to hear some of these hits when Lane 8 takes the stage for PROPER NYE/NYD.

Why This NYE/NYD Is Special

The combination of Lane 8’s enchanting sound, paired with the dual takeover of Anjunadeep and This Never Happened, makes this event one of the country’s most anticipated New Year’s celebrations. This won’t just be another festival; it’s a chance to fully immerse oneself in music that moves the soul and makes you feel alive.

So, if you haven’t already secured a spot, tickets are available on the event’s website. Stay updated on all things PROPER NYE/NYD by connecting with the social links below.

That’s all for now. In true Lane 8 fan fashion, I will conclude this with a Daniel-inspired sign-off.

Lots of love,

-Kiana
