The dynamic dubstep duo Adventure Club returned to New York City this past Friday, May 16, as headliners for the grand reopening of Mission Nightclub. Adventure Club, who last played in NYC at the Winter Festival in Brooklyn last November, played a special K-pop set at the Manhattan nightclub destination for Asian American talent.

In addition to their full repertoire of K-pop edits, Adventure Club played a range of their melodic remixes, heavy bangers, and tasty mashups they are known for. Of course, they played their new remix of Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” and ended their set with “Light Me Up,” an unreleased collab with Flight School featuring Reve that drops on Friday, May 30.

Having seen over a dozen Adventure Club sets over the years, the K-pop tunes added a fun and fresh element to their performance. If you want to check out an Adventure Club K-pop set for yourself, you’re in luck. They will perform a K-pop Idol set on Day 2 of Insomniac’s Lost In Dreams Festival in Los Angeles on July 12. For a heavier bass set, Adventure Club will also feature at Excision’s Bass Canyon at The Gorge in Washington from August 15 to 17.

For those wanting fresh Adventure Club music, they came roaring into 2025 with the debut of their new monthly Insomniac Radio show on the 4th Monday of every month, familiarly named Superheroes Anonymous. They’ve already got four episodes in the books, and the show mixes are posted to their SoundCloud if you need to get caught up. With a new show to support, Adventure Club’s been busy releasing new songs, too. My favorite tune of 2025 is “Move” with Coleman Hell, and “Nothing To Lose” with Oliverse is a close second.

Adventure Club has also been reaching deep into their archives to share classic EDM remixes from the golden era of OG dubstep over 10 years ago. All the while, they’ve been hinting at a big throwback tour in the works for the fall.
