Eight Elements Artists You Need To Know

The best electronic festival in the U.S. Northeast, Elements Music & Arts Festival, is just a few days away this Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11. If you don’t want to let FOMO get the best of you, tickets are still available!

Our Moon Lvnding team wants to ensure everyone is up to speed on all the excitement this weekend! We published our general Elements review with the Phase 2 announcement if you need a refresher on what’s on offer, and it bears repeating the steps Elements is taking to be as sustainable as possible. Now, let’s look at some hidden treasures in Elements’ extensive lineup of performers.

However, before we start naming names, did you know that Elements also has an early arrival pass available? This pass allows each holder to arrive from 1 pm on Thursday to set up camp early and enjoy two epic stage takeovers for an unforgettable pre-party from 6 pm to midnight. Of the Trees’ label Memory Palace will take over the newly redesigned Water Stage, and California house crew Desert Hearts will take over the enchanting Air Stage.

Player Dave

Driven by emotion, Player Dave encompasses a wide range of beats and styles as he expresses his feelings through music. Based in Southern California, Dave’s Daisy Chain event brand recently launched its new record label, Daisy Chain Recordings. He marked the occasion by releasing a new track, “Hush,” with sumthin sumthin. Catch Player Dave at the Water Stage on Thursday, August 8 at 7:45 pm.

cuppaT

New York-based cuppaT is a classically trained turntablist who graduated from Scratch Academy in NYC and studied with 15-time DJ champ, Craze. Since their debut set in August 2022, cuppaT has spent years building their catalog of unreleased originals and serves up a blend of BPM with selections from old-school and new-school sounds. Catch cuppaT at the Water Stage on Friday, August 9 at 3:00 pm.

The Illustrious Blacks

Brooklyn duo The Illustrious Blacks have a mission to fuse futuristic funk, hypnotic house, and synth-pop into pulsating positivity for the whole planet. Part DJ set and part dance performance, this stylish couple pulls inspiration from artists like Prince, David Bowie, and George Clinton to create experiences enjoyed by crowds around the world! Live the hype life with The Illustrious Blacks at the Air Stage on Friday, August 9 at 4:30 pm.

Eli Fola (hybrid set)

Eli Fola is a multi-disciplinary sound artist with Nigerian roots who founded Tech Afrique, an independent label and event brand that promotes Afrofuturist ideas and showcases DJs from the BIPOC community. Fola is the pioneer of “Yoruba Tech Soul,” a fusion of AfroHouse, techno, and jazz, which allows him to flex his genius on the saxophone. Experience Eli Fola at the Air Stage on Friday, August 9 at 6:00 pm.

DiCE MaN

No stranger to the New York underground scene, Dice Man founded Dubday NYC. With a background in theater, Dice Man creates vibrant and dynamic atmospheres through his performances by weaving spoken word and folk-punk into his body-shaking basslines and melodic undertones. Join Dice Man for his set at the Water Stage on Saturday, August 10 at 3:15 pm.

5AM Trio

5AM is a Philadelphia-based producer, musician, and graphic designer who merges the worlds of electronic production and live instrumentation. To bring his vision full circle, he adds live drums and guitar to round out his trio at Elements. 5AM has shared the stage with Tipper, Jade Cicada, Detox Unit, and many other tastemakers. Catch 5AM Trio in action at the Earth Stage on Saturday, August 10 at 5:15 pm.

LIGHTCODE by LSDREAM

While most know the artist LSDREAM for his uplifting bass music, his LIGHTCODE set is a special daytime experience much different from a typical DJ set. LIGHTCODE is a meditative sound bath experience that most people enjoy silently, either sitting or lying down. These experiences have always been one of the highlights of my weekend, so tap into LIGHTCODE at the Air Stage on Sunday, August 11 at 11:00 am.

Sommer

Sommer hails from Mexico City and has a reputation for creating an electric atmosphere so people can let loose on the dance floor. Sommer specializes in Latin house, tech-house, and techno, with the ability to deliver energetic music to keep the crowds moving. Be sure to swing by the Air Stage on Sunday, August 11 at 1:15 pm to see the international talent in action.

Hopefully, you learned a thing or two about some new artists you hadn’t considered for the weekend.
