Hulaween, one of the leading multi-genre music festivals, returns for its highly anticipated 11th edition from Thursday, October 24 to Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Known for its immersive experiences, innovative lineups, and creative themes, this iconic Halloween festival invites attendees to embrace their individuality through imaginative costumes. Hulaween 2024 will feature a dynamic and historic performance by Bobby Weir and The String Cheese Incident, together known as The Bobby Weir Incident. Performing for the first—and potentially last—time as no future dates are planned for this epic collaboration, The Bobby Weir Incident will close out the festival on Sunday with two consecutive sets, delivering over three hours of Grateful Dead classics. To honor this special debut, festival-goers are encouraged to coordinate their costumes around this year’s theme, “Weir’d Science,” which can encompass anything from extraterrestrials to mad scientists. With the festival urging fans to “embrace the wild, the Weir’d, and the wonderful,” this year’s Hulaween theme promises to make the event even more unforgettable.
Thursday kicks off the weekend with headlining performances at The Hallows stage such as Of The Trees and Clozee, preceded by sets from Side Trakd, Eater, A Hundred Drums, Levity and Daily Bread. The Amphitheater stage will feature explosive performances from Lettuce, Killer Mike, Say She She and more. Over at the Spirit Lake stage, attendees can enjoy a variety of genre-fluid acts such as LP Giobbi, J. Worra, Airrica, Mascolo, and more. Spirit Lake itself is celebrated for its immersive art experiences at music festivals, featuring an array of talented sculptors, fire and metal workers, painters, performance artists, and lighting designers. Festival-goers can immerse themselves in lakefront holographic projection mapping, mesmerizing light shows, and interactive art installations, creating an unforgettable sensory experience. The new Off Limits stage, hosted by women-owned and led event company Define Everything Future (DEF), was designed to create a more personable experience for festival goers, with a 360-degree stage. It will feature performances from Riordan, Incendia, and many more.
The excitement continues on Friday, October 25th at the Meadow stage, with performances from headliners The String Cheese Incident (x2) and the Black Pumas, along with Karina Rykman and Tand. Over at The Hallows stage, you can catch Cory Wong, Midlife and more, leading up to a late-night set from Tipper. The Amphitheater stage features electrifying acts like Motifv, Phyphr, MZG, Maddy O’Neal, Zingara and Chase & Status, while Spirit Lake will showcase the immersive sounds of Kyle Walker, Walker & Royce, Eggy and more. The Off Limits stage will host Bou, Incendia, some TBA artists, and many more talents.
On Saturday, The String Cheese Incident will have three epic sets, followed by Sublime’s Hulaween debut at The Meadow stage. The Hallows Stage will feature Andy Frasco & the U.N., followed by two Umphreys McGee sets and Tash Sultana. The Amphitheater will host some wonky beats from Alleycvt, Ravenscoon, Manic Focus and Liquid Stranger; with Cassian, Spafford, &Friends, and more captivating attendees at the Spirit Lake stage. The Off Limits stage will have an array of artists, including Justin Jay B2B Nala, Azzecca, among others.
This year’s 11th edition of Hulaween will conclude with the much-anticipated collaboration between The String Cheese Incident and Bobby Weir, performing two sets at the Meadow Stage as The Bobby Weir Incident. The Hallows Stage will feature performances from Holly Bowling, Sam Grisman Project, and Greensky Bluegrass. Over at the Amphitheatre, AK Renny, Bunt., Chris Lake, and Nora En Pure will be bringing the dance beats, while Lyny, Truth, G Jones, and The New Mastersounds will close out the afternoon at the Spirit Lake Stage.
