Ray Volpe’s “PAYBACK” Hits Hard

You know that moment in a set when the bass drops, and the entire crowd collectively loses their mind? There’s a good chance it was to Ray Volpe’s “PAYBACK!” He just wrapped touring for VOLPEVERSE, his biggest headline tour to date. Now, he’s dropping the most anticipated track of his career.

Following the chaos of “GET SMACKED,” today’s new tune brings a fresh flavor to his arsenal. Volpe flexes his bass house muscle without losing an ounce of bite. The rhythm slaps, the bass snarls, and the hook refuses to leave your brain. After dominating dubstep, Volpe storms into house territory like he owns it. And honestly? He just might.

“I’ve been teasing ‘PAYBACK’ for over two years now and still get messages about it every day,” Volpe shared. “I’m blown away at all the love this track is already getting; I knew this had to be the next single from my debut album. This one’s a fun catchy bass house tune! I think the melody is one of my favorites I’ve come up with & the vocals that were added in are really the cherry on top.”

Volpe never stays in one lane. He built his name on dubstep, but he reinvents his sound with every release. “PAYBACK” feels fresh, explosive, and ready for every mainstage. It’s the kind of track that breaks sets wide open. DJs have been rinsing it for nearly two years, and now fans finally have it for their collections and playlists. 2025’s already stacked with high-impact sets from Ray. The Volpetron isn’t just headlining—he’s leveling up. And every crowd is louder than the last.

“PAYBACK” keeps building the momentum behind his debut album, FOREVER, VOLPETRON. Volpe’s not sticking to one genre — he’s ripping through all of them. Every track packs purpose, energy, and surprise. If “PAYBACK” sets the tone, the rest of the album is about to go nuclear. As FOREVER, VOLPETRON continues to unfold, expect the unexpected and brace for more genre-defying heat. Follow Volpe on all socials so you never miss a beat, a drop, or a surprise ID turning into the next festival anthem.

Ray Volpe Drops “GET SMACKED” From Debut Album

Ray Volpe delivers his bass heater, “GET SMACKED,” in collaboration with rising DJ and producer Vastive. The entire bass community has been waiting for this track and it arrives as the perfect kick-start to his debut album. It ushers in a new chapter for Volpe, following his electrifying sold-out headline show at the Hollywood Palladium. On his VOLPEVERSE Tour finale in Los Angeles, he unveiled his upcoming album, FOREVER, VOLPETRON.

‘GET SMACKED’ really jumpstarts my debut album season into full swing,” Volpe shared. “Working with Vastive felt very natural; we both have a love for metal music and interesting flows to bring into the heavy bass sector of the dance scene. There’s a lot of different inspirations and styles that complement each other as this song goes on, which it really does just keep going. There’s a lot of changes throughout, which I think is really nicely reflected on the album coming up as a whole – it’s not all just one specific sound. I couldn’t be more proud to kick things off with ‘GET SMACKED.’ From the catchy repetitive vocal chant, to the live playability, to the little hip hop/trap section at the end. It just screams pure energy. I’m so proud of this first single of the album and I can’t wait to share more.

The song detonates into multiple face-melting dubstep drops, primed for headbanging, mosh pits, and all-out dance mayhem. The two producers blend their signature styles into a high-energy fusion of drops, resulting in a perfect powerhouse anthem for the upcoming festival season. “GET SMACKED” marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Volpe and it reflects his musical evolution.

“Ray and I had been talking about collaborating for quite some time,” Vastive said. “Our tune was actually originally just a live plate I had written on tour a while back and he’d been playing it for months. Once the time came that we both had time to work together, it was a no brainer this was the one we wanted to develop. I can honestly say I had a TON of fun working with him on it. Between all the late nights and constant voice memos of ideas, it felt great to be writing with excitement. I couldn’t be any more stoked on the outcome. I feel this best represents both our sounds and the energy we bring to our sets in a fun light.

Fans can expect to hear more from Ray Volpe as he gears up for a series of live shows throughout 2025. “GET SMACKED” sets the stage for what promises to be a landmark year in his career — a perfect kickoff for a new era in bass music. For the latest updates, follow him on his social media below!
