Canadian bass powerhouse Jiqui returns with HOTFIX, a six-track EP via Create Music Group. Blending 140, UKG, and old-school dubstep with modern sound design, the project signals a hard reset for his artistry. It’s bold, groove-heavy, and brimming with renewed creative energy.
The EP features fan favorites like “Droptop,” “Pump Up,” and “Masters,” alongside fresh cuts “Pressure Point,” “Beatdown,” and “Heat Check.” Each track pushes Jiqui’s signature bass energy into new territory, balancing power with playfulness. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Jiqui states,
“I spent the better part of 2024 and the start of 2025 really re-working the Jiqui project. There were many points where I wasn’t sure what I even wanted anymore. Imposter syndrome and self-doubt crept in hard. But I’m lucky to have great people around me who helped me get back to a place where I’m happy with music again. This EP feels like a real step forward. It’s the first full project where I’m 100% confident and proud of every song. It’s fun, it’s fresh, and it’s me. -Jiqui”

HOTFIX is more than just an EP—it’s a creative breakthrough. Jiqui taps influences like Borne, Xaebor, and Taiki Nulight, fusing groove and grit with precision. From the playful bounce of “Pressure Point” to the brutal drops of “Beatdown,” each track tells the story of an artist rediscovering himself. Following massive performances at Lost Lands and his Asia debut in Shanghai and Guangzhou, Jiqui shows no signs of slowing down. HOTFIX captures his growth in full force—refined, confident, and ready to take over dancefloors worldwide. The EP is now streaming on all platforms — dive in and hear Jiqui’s evolution firsthand.
