A staple in the Los Angeles bass music scene, Bass n Babes has put on some of the most inclusive and fun events. Keeping with their history of providing a platform for LGBTQ artists, they’ve now launched a brand-new independent label with a massive 11-track compilation album. Bass n Babes Vol. 1 is full of some of the best artists currently in the industry, and even better music.
On first listen, each track has its own unique style; there certainly is something for everyone to enjoy. From farley. and Auracle’s powerful vocal performances to Shortcvke and So Sus’s masterful sound design, there is certainly no shortage of LGBTQ and femme powerhouses. In fact, there are 14 different artists included on this album — including Bass n Babes founder Baby Kush herself — and each one brings their own unique flavor.

Bass n Babes has long been committed to promoting underrepresented groups in the music industry, giving a platform to women, POC, and LGBTQ artists; even the graphic design was done by ArtFaerie. Their efforts are paying off, too. While the album itself is full of some incredible music, these artists have scored some performances at massive festivals, earned remixes for major artists, and continue to release tracks that make your head spin. Listen to the flagship album, and be sure to check out the next Bass n Babes event you see; you won’t regret it!
