Mission Success: Electric Forest 2025

Electric Forest 2025 delivered yet another magical and unforgettable weekend, solidifying its legacy as one of the most memorable editions in the festival’s storied history. From legendary returns to Rothbury and unexpected b2b sets to rising stars making their mark, this year’s Forest had something for everyone. With extended hours and endless surprises, Electric Forest reminded us once again that it’s not just a festival—it’s an entire world of its own.

The Music

Thursday kicked off the weekend with electric energy. Mersiv’s two-set takeover of the Observatory, Smoakland b2b Seth David, Lumasi, and Austeria b2b Veil set the tone for the weekend with raw, bass-heavy bliss. Later that night, Justice lit up Ranch Arena with an iconic performance that had both long-time fans and newcomers in awe. Dimension delivered another hard-hitting DnB set for the second year in a row, engraving his name as a Forest staple.

Friday brought the bass to Tripolee, with Crankdat, Tape B, Eater, Ray Volpe, Wreckno, and YDG lighting up the stage. Worship (Sub Focus, 1991, Culture Shock, and Dimension) closed the night with a dream DnB set that had the dancefloor shaking for over an hour.

Saturday held some of the weekend’s most buzzworthy moments. BLAAP—Of The Trees and Freddy Todd’s experimental duo—delivered a high-energy, psychedelic set tucked deep in the Forest, with a surprise on-stage rap performance from Wreckno. But the true surprise came when a surprise Levity b2b2b was quietly added to the lineup, sparking a wave of speculation across the Forest. The mystery was revealed on Friday: Tape B and Crankdat—fresh off a massive b2b at EDC—joined forces again, along with the Levity boys. What followed was a thunderous, unforgettable performance at Ranch Arena that had fans packed deep into the woods.

Zeds Dead followed, raising the bar even higher with a masterclass in storytelling. Opening with their recent signature, euphoric, channel-flipping visuals, the duo seamlessly blended nostalgic favorites with unreleased IDs, striking a perfect balance between past and future and giving long-time ZD fans a set reminiscent of years past.

Sunday closed the festival on a high, with house and techno at Tripolee courtesy of Beltran, Riordan, and Loco Dice. Mochakk, despite a late arrival, brought infectious energy to his set, while Fisher ended the night with a massive party featuring hit after hit. Of The Trees returned with a slower, more intricate solo set—providing the perfect contrast to BLAAP’s chaos the night before.

Honeycomb Gets Shaken

Every year, the Honeycomb stage gives birth to a set destined for Forest legend. In 2023, it was Levity’s forest debut. 2024 brought another incredible set from the trio and a genre-bending set from Westend that included an electric wine-bag slap. For 2025, Whethan might take the crown. His night-time set blended bass-heavy beats with rap cuts from Three 6 Mafia, Kid Cudi, and Yeat, plus an unreleased GRiZ ID. It was the kind of set that leaves the forest floor bouncing—and fans talking long after.

An Unforgettable Moment

One of the most heartfelt moments of the weekend came during Wreckno’s set, when the Michigan native paused mid-performance to propose to his now-fiancée, Alree. The crowd erupted in celebration, capturing the joy and authenticity that define Electric Forest. In a weekend full of highs, it was a moment of pure magic and love—one that will go down in Forest history.

The Dream Emporium

Back and more magical than ever, the Dream Emporium transported attendees into an alternate dimension of surreal escapism. Festival-goers climbed a bunk bed into a secret cloud-filled attic, got rinsed in a literal human car wash, floated in a canoe down a glowing electric moat, and stumbled into boxing matches and down a giant slide. The Dream Emporium is a living, breathing collection of dreams that takes its visitors to a diverse collection of worlds. The experience is never the same twice—but always unforgettable.

No Afters, No Problem

While fans were disappointed to hear the EVOL Afterparty stage would not be making a return this year (along with its beloved SubJohnics b2b sets), Electric Forest responded with extended festival hours—keeping the music going until 4 a.m. This allowed fans more time with their favorite headliners and added space to explore Sherwood after dark. It may not have replaced the Afters entirely, but it gave the Forest family more time together—and that’s what matters most.

As the final notes echoed through the trees, Electric Forest 2025 once again left its mark on the community with its unmatched love, energy, and magical surprises. With every set, moment, and member of the Forest Family dancing under the lights among the trees, the Forest reminds us to create lifelong memories with those we cherish most. It continues to inspire us to dream a little wilder, dance a little longer, and return home feeling a little more whole.
