Coconino Campout 2026 has come to an end, and we couldn’t help but be reminded why mountain festivals hit different. Set against the towering pines of Pepsi Amphitheater at Fort Tuthill County Park, the weekend delivered two days of music, camping, and unforgettable moments far from the city grind. Instead of sprinting between sets, fans stayed locked into the full musical journey together.
A Lineup To Set The Tone
Friday opened with a steady climb in momentum. Early acts like HEVNFALL and Saka warmed the amphitheater with experimental bass, dubstep rollers, and melodic detours that set the atmosphere quickly. As the sun dropped behind the pines, the energy shifted into full gear. Headliners GHENGAR and ATLiens brought heavy rotations, unreleased IDs, and crowd-shaking moments that sent the crowd into motion. The woods felt alive as the lasers gave the venue a surreal glow.
Saturday arrived with even more energy. Once music kicked off, it was all gas and no brakes. With the crowd dialed in, day two came in with that wonky bass that vibrates the soul. DRINKURWATER came out, surprising everyone, with a dubstep/riddim heavy set. Very unexpected but very enjoyable. The energy he brought to the stage felt very involved, and to put it simply: just a guy playing his beep boop music in the woods. NGHTMRE and Ray Volpe were a pleasure, per usual, playing out some OG tracks and some new IDs. Each set brought emotional highs and explosive finales.
As the nights closed, hands stayed high, voices got louder, and strangers moved like old friends. Those final moments carried the kind of magic the soul yearns for in today’s times. That magic? That’s the part people will remember most.
Beyond The Pines
Unlike larger city events, Coconino gives space to slow down. Its camp culture remained the heartbeat of the weekend. It allowed people to reconnect with nature, music, and each other at the same time. However, that balance between chaos and calm is what makes it so special. And in my personal opinion, few festivals capture that feeling this well.
Coconino Campout proved once again that you don’t need six stages or giant city skylines to create something unforgettable. Sometimes all it takes is a forest, a sound system, and a crowd willing to surrender to the moment. And over the weekend, we were delivered all three in full force. Until next year, Cocos!
