Breakaway Arizona Mainstage with lasers

Mission Success: Breakaway Arizona

Held under the wide Arizona sky at Sloan Park, the inaugural 2025 edition of Breakaway AZ turned a spring weekend into a full-on intergalactic joyride. With a high-voltage lineup, immersive sponsor activations, and unexpected surprises at every corner, this wasn’t just another festival. It was a full-sensory experience that left no vibe untouched.

Day One:

Breakaway didn’t ease into the weekend—it shot straight into the stratosphere. The Main Stage lifted off with Tommy Toole and Koastle, who opened with breezy melodies and upbeat, crowd-pleasing grooves. Daniel Allan followed with electronic textures that felt fresh but still warmly familiar. As the sun dipped, Night Tales set a soulful tone with silky deep house vibes.

The real shift came when Wax Motif lit up the decks. But nothing could top the sheer emotional release that came with Two Friends. With the rain Arizona rain starting and really setting the tone for the set, the vibes were high. The lasers in the rain looked like glitter in the sky; if you know you know. Their set was a rollercoaster of nostalgia and feel-good anthems, the kind that make strangers throw their arms around each other mid-chorus. Over at The Launchpad, Livviep and Skilah started the day with spark, drawing in curious early birds. And then came Sidequest. It was our first time seeing the duo live, and they absolutely threw down—flawless transitions, massive energy, and drops that lit up the early night. Zerb, Frank Walker, and Audien followed building a seamless arc of progressive house that left everyone buzzing.

Day 2:

Saturday showed no mercy. Leesh and Casti kicked things off with clean blends and edits sharp enough to wake the dead. Coco & Breezy followed with a genre-blending set, bringing the same bold energy that powers their fashion empire. Juelz turned up the heat with trap beats and futuristic bass, igniting a full-on shuffle storm. Then Levity took the stage, delivering a live set packed with synths, raw emotion, and pure electricity.

Over at The Launchpad, Afterparty and Klo set the tone with dancefloor-ready gems. Moore Kismet followed, flexing a forward-thinking sound—bass music that balanced brain, heart, and soul. Cyclops brought the weird. Łaszewo added a dreamy touch. And then came PEEKABOO. It was more than a normal set—it was a rally cry for the next wave of bassheads.

As the sun dipped, Sofi Tukker took over main stage. Their jungle-pop rhythms and Brazilian flair had bodies moving and spirits soaring. Closing out the weekend’s party, Gryffin delivered a cinematic performance full of piano riffs, guitar solos, and heart-tugging drops. It was Breakaway at its peak.

Activations Galore

Beyond the music, Breakaway Arizona delivered a stacked experience full of creative, high-impact brand activations across the entire venue. The CELSIUS Vibe Lounge kept energy high with free drinks, backyard games, and vibrant, camera-ready photo moments all weekend long. Nearby, the White Claw Shore Club offered laid-back beach vibes and exclusive SURGE flavors that kept everyone refreshed.
