“Sirens,” the fresh collaboration from ALLIESUN and Dyce that dropped today, July 14, on Diverge Records, brings the heat. The bass can be felt throughout one’s body while the kicks and snares keep the listener bouncing. The track is titled “Sirens” because throughout the song there are vocals of a dispatch call followed by the faint sound of actual police sirens. It will get the heart pumping as if the cops are looking for you!
Dyce and ALLIESUN have done an amazing job creating a soundscape that creates an adrenaline rush. This isn’t their first rodeo either; they previously worked together on the track “Manifest,” also on Diverge Records.
Dyce hails from the scorching Las Vegas desert, where he works with major artists like Dr. Fresch, Bijou, and Drezo. Over the last few years, he has dropped tracks on many different labels, including House Call Records and 40 Oz Cult. Prior to the release of “Sirens”, he dropped a collab with Arizona local, HONÜ. His track “WOAH” is close to 60,000 streams, which is a testament to his hard work behind the scenes.
Despite his success, Dyce keeps his identity anonymous by wearing a gas mask during his live performances. When asked about his anon status, he replied, “I’ve seen a lot of big artists say the whole masked DJ thing is kind of tacky, but honestly I don’t care, it’s me. I like the way the gas mask looks and it kind of ties in when I first started the project while I was in the military. Plus I like the shock factor when people first land on my page and see a gas mask. Not a lot of people can really pull off the look. But you will be seeing this project transition as we progress through the years.”
ALLIESUN is a 23-year-old ray of sunshine making groovy beats in Los Angeles. She is emerging in the EDM scene with her detailed songs. She is thoughtfully crafting an intricate discography that embodies her distinctive sounds. ALLIESUN’s more notable tracks are “GO” and “Destruction” which capture the essence of her unique production style.
Speaking with us about the challenges she faces in a male-dominated, ALLIESUN said, “The toughest challenge I have faced so far would be the struggle to be taken seriously by other male producers. In a lot of spaces as a woman, I feel like the way I look can have so much more value to men in this industry rather than my creative capacity or direction, or will make it so much harder to be taken seriously as a musician and not just a model.”
ALLIESUN continued, “Thankfully I have so many amazing friends and work with such great artists that support me and I support them! I also work at GRL GANG, which is a collective for women and non-binary folk in the EDM space. It is so important to me to continue pushing for equality for women, non-binary people, the LBGTQ+ community, and people of color in our music industry.”
