New Music Friday brings a powerful collaboration from two talented Canadian producers, WHIPPED CREAM and Andrea Botez. They worked together on “Erased,” a soulful track released to honor International Women’s Day on March 8, out now via Monstercat. It is a fitting work of art from two women who followed non-traditional paths into the music industry.
WHIPPED CREAM spent her early years training as a figure skater and was set to represent Team Canada at The Olympics before an injury derailed her. She found inspiration from Hans Zimmer, Kanye, and Skrillex to transition to a successful career as a producer and DJ. Andrea Botez is just getting started with her musical journey after enjoying success as a competitive chess player and Twitch streamer.

“Erased” unites two influential women in electronic music and underscores the significance of Women’s History Month.
“Erased” begins with a dramatic melody and WHIPPED CREAM’s captivating vocals soon after. The track builds up with a captivating backbeat before unleashing a thunderous techno bassline punctuated by sharp snares and dynamic synths. The song beautifully blends WHIPPED CREAM’s melodic production with Andrea Botez’s hard-hitting techno.
“It is not just a track; it’s a moment,” WHIPPED CREAM shared. “Dark techno collides with melodic house, blending deep, emotive vocals with an unrelenting groove and unstoppable energy. This is more than music; it’s a statement. I cannot wait for the world to experience it, especially in celebration of International Women’s Day. Andrea’s influence in heavy techno played a major role in shaping this track.“
Botez weighed in on the collab, “I fell in love with WHIPPED CREAM’s sound when I first heard her haunting yet beautiful vocals and knew immediately we had to combine our two unique styles. I sent Caroline [WHIPPED CREAM] my first ‘tech house’ demo, and her writing for ‘Erased’ transformed the track into a techno anthem. We both pulled from past experiences, and her vocals even inspired me to add some of my own as an Easter egg.“

After finishing her “is this real?” tour last year and releasing her album Careline in January 2025, WHIPPED CREAM is booked for a full slate of international festival appearances. She’ll be at Beyond Wonderland, Ubbi Dubbi, Tomorrowland, and Shambhala just to name a few. For Andrea Botez, this is another big step in her DJ career after dropping remixes of Boris Brejcha and Kaskade in the month prior.
If “Erased” is a testament to the direction of these two talented producers, there’s plenty more great music coming from WHIPPED CREAM and Andrea Botez. To keep up with all their latest music and announcements, check out their social links below.
