At just 26 years old, Randy Perez has established himself as one of the most talented DJs in the local Arizona music scene. Randy’s energetic personality, distinct track selection, exquisitent crowd control, and ability to seamlessly mix and transition between different genres make his sound both unique and recognizable and help set him apart from other Arizona talent.
Randy first started with music being in a rock band, picking up the bass guitar at about 10 years old, and later discovered DJing during the beginning of COVID back in 2020. When Randy first started playing shows under the name of El Perez, his focus was on bass and dubstep, his recent style has transitioned into more of a house-centric vibe while still incorporating a multitude of different genres and styles in his mixes and performances.
Randy has played multiple shows in the past at various bars and clubs including Sunbar, CASA, Cobra Arcade Bar, Wasted Grain, Aura Nightclub, Crescent Ballroom and many more. He will be making his Relentless Beats debut this week on Saturday, May 29th, opening the night for the talented duo SkiiTour at Darkstar Tempe. You can purchase tickets to that event here.
This Saturday also happens to be Randy’s birthday and he will be playing at several other venues throughout the weekend including Casa on Thursday night, and Sunbar brunch on Saturday morning. Here’s the full breakdown of when and where to catch Randy this weekend:
- CASA Tempe: Thursday 4/27 (11 pm – 12 am)
- Sunbar Tempe Brunch: Saturday 4/29 (1:30 pm – 2:30 pm)
- Darkstar Tempe: Saturday 4/29 (9:00 pm – 10:30 pm)
Moving forward, Randy is hoping to play many more shows like the ones this weekend and continue to establish and expand his persona as both a DJ and a future producer. Randy is passionate about being his authentic self through his music, his work, and his energy and encourages others to do the same and not care about what others think of you.
