“RELIC” by INFEKT Just Shattered the Riddim Mold

Germany’s riddim heavyweight INFEKT drops “RELIC” via Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats label. Known for his wonky, dark soundscapes, he pushes bass music’s boundaries with hard-hitting, tight production. Moreover, “RELIC” pays homage to a bass style that helped pioneer dubstep but hasn’t had its due recognition lately. INFEKT explains,

“Relic is an homage to a sound that, in my opinion, hasn’t gotten the love it deserves in recent years. I wanted to challenge myself to give it a modern mixdown, with hard-hitting drums and a very tight, full bass—perfect for sound systems. I hope it brings more attention to this style that helped pioneer Dubstep many years ago!

This launch aligns with INFEKT’s national tour and recent packed shows at major festivals including EDC China, EDC Mexico, and Beyond Wonderland. Additionally, fans eagerly anticipated his debut at EDC Las Vegas, the world’s largest electronic festival. These appearances cement his growing status in the global bass scene.

Born in 1997, INFEKT began producing music at just 12 years old, quickly developing his signature dark and wonky dubstep sound. With releases on heavyweight labels like Monstercat and Disciple—and support from Skrillex, Subtronics, and Zeds Dead—he’s cemented his place as a driving force in underground bass.

Deadbeats, the forward-thinking imprint from Zeds Dead, champions artist freedom and innovation across the bass spectrum. Backed by their vision and touring insights, the label has uplifted talents like IMANU, CHEE, and Rusko. With “RELIC”, INFEKT adds his voice to that legacy, pushing the genre into bold, uncharted territory.

As INFEKT’s global fanbase expands, this release marks another milestone in his journey. “RELIC” invites bass lovers worldwide to dive into riddim’s deeper, darker corners with an artist who never plays it safe. Get ready to feel the impact!
