After months of teasing, Kaskade releases his complete studio album ‘undux,’ via Monstercat and Arkade, on December 4.
Using his familiar sound, thoughtfully written lyrics, and powerful storytelling skills, Kaskade impresses listeners once again. While bringing back his iconic sound, he also shows expansion in his craft through the strength he found in overcoming personal struggles.

‘undux’ reaches every corner of human emotion and is sure to move listeners in one way or another. Bound to either draw tears or compel dance, Kaskade delivers a little bit of something for everyone. He reflects on his time creating the album, emphasizing a return to nurturing the process of creation. While singles thrive in a world that equates streaming numbers to popularity, ‘undux’ focuses on quality over quantity.
“I have always enjoyed the process of making an album. Set aside some time, get together with some friends and make music,” Kaskade said. “It always felt like telling a story with chapters and verse… Less emphasis on the crescendo but really trying to convey an entire mood or idea.”
Through patience and self-discipline, Kaskade allows emotion to guide his creative process on the album. ‘undux’ is introspective and vulnerable, and an admirable product of embracing emotions throughout the album’s making.
“’undux’ has always been about connection through subtraction,” Kaskade said. “From the string of shows I did to the full-length album, I’ve tried to strip everything to its base layer and understand the beauty of walking through feelings and experiences without getting lost in the reverberations.”
Since the release announcement in October, Kaskade slowly revealed pieces of the puzzle, dropping four of the 14 tracks early.

“DNCR” and “imprint” introduced listeners to the lighter, more danceable side of Kaskade’s emotional exploration through music. Meanwhile, “i can’t make you love me,” and “started over” revealed the true levels of depth Kaskade accomplishes with ‘undux.’
Beyond these four tracks are 10 others, crafted with similar intention, but each with its own unique sound and story. You can find the rest of them here. Happy listening!
