Barclay Crenshaw Dropping Bars On “Cannibal Strings”

Barclay Crenshaw, the genius behind Claude VonStroke and Dirtybird Records, returns with the next evolution of his bass rebrand. For the first time since hawking cassettes of his high school hip-hop, Barclay Crenshaw debuts his skills as an emcee and producer on his latest single, “Cannibal Strings.”

Released last Friday, June 14, “Cannibal Strings” puts Crenshaw’s creative lyrics and skilled rhyme schemes on display for the first time in the digital era. He raps about the metamorphosis from CVS to Barclay Crenshaw and other changes in his career.

Earlier this spring, Barclay Crenshaw wrapped up his successful 13-city Open Channel Tour. He’s also been busy with festival appearances, dazzling crowds at Texas Eclipse Festival, Sol Fest, and Lightning in a Bottle, to name a few. This Saturday, June 22, Barclay Crenshaw will make his debut at Electric Forest‘s Sherwood Court, marking one of his biggest festival sets to date.

Crenshaw will also be bringing along exclusive Electric Forest patches, similar to what he did on his Open Channel Tour. In his Discord server, Crenshaw revealed that he would be popping up at The Great Bingo Revival on Saturday afternoon for people wanting to get their hands on these collectible patches.

If you won’t be at Electric Forest this weekend, don’t fret. Crenshaw will be making a few more festival appearances this summer at Secret Dreams, Northern Lights, Shambhala, Elements, and Cascade Equinox Festival. With any luck, we may be able to hear Crenshaw spit his bars live! To keep up with all the latest news and announcements from Barclay Crenshaw, hit the links below.
