This International Women’s Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women making waves in the EDM scene. Each artist has carved their own unique path and deserves a special shoutout. Kicking off our series is hard-hitting UK Garage DJ, producer, and presenter SHOSH!
SHOSH is a staple in the UK Garage scene and has recently stepped into her dubstep era. Blending elements of both US and UK culture, she creates a unique UKG/140 sound. She is also a resident presenter at Kiss FM and the founder of 24hr Garage Girls, a collective dedicated to empowering women in their creative careers. The team is led by SHOSH, singer-songwriter Kelsey, and world-renowned dancers Jasmine and Millie. Together, 24hr Garage Girls has represented at Ibiza Rocks, Boomtown Fair, Glastonbury Festival, Forbidden Forest, Parklife, and other major events.
SHOSH is a great example of one of the many women in music who strives to support and empower others. Through her brand 24hr Garage Girls, she and her team continue to represent women at major events and create opportunities for female artists in the industry.
