On Saturday, February 8, Of The Trees brought his Moonglade Tour to Brooklyn and became the first deep bass artist to play at the newly renovated Brooklyn Paramount. The state-of-the-art facility from the 1920s received a spectacular facelift by Live Nation to transform it into Brooklyn’s newest music cathedral. Of The Trees took full advantage of the venue’s vaulted Baroque architecture and acoustics to produce one of the best bass shows I’ve seen in Brooklyn since the pandemic.

Of The Trees had his cabin set up in the middle of the stage, adorned with plants and giving a natural vibe to the production. The sound quality in the expansive main hall was incredible and the supporting artists did a great job of setting the mood for the evening. FLY got the event started and played a bunch of the memorable flips from his recent Sapphire Mixtape.
EAZYBAKED played next and kept the good vibes flowing. The duo featured a few tracks from its newly released Respawn EP and the crowd ate it up. While the weather outside was snowy and cold, the beats inside felt warm and cozy. The Australian artist Opiuo was the final support act, and he delivered a third masterful set. Opiuo played some of his collabs with ASHEZ and most of the saucy updates from his A Shape of Sound remix EP.

Of The Trees took the stage for his closing set from 11:30 to 1:00 and displayed why the bass artist has amassed such a loyal, adoring fanbase. His edits and transitions were smooth and he let the beautiful music do the talking. His lighting and LED visuals complemented the music well, highlighting the classic features of the venue and creating a spectacle to match the mood of the music.
Towards the end of the set, Of The Trees welcomed Freddy Todd to the stage and they played out a few of their BLAAP collab tracks. But that wouldn’t be the last from BLAAP, because, in true New York fashion, Memory Palace hosted an afterparty with BLAAP until 4 am in The Room at Superior Ingredients.

Moon Lvnding didn’t make it to the afters, but big props to all those who braved the overnight snowstorm to make it across Brooklyn to the former site of Output. Special thanks to the photographer known as shutter.klick for providing amazing photographs of the Moonglade Tour, including the above image from the Superior Ingredients afterparty.
The Moonglade Tour creeps closer to its conclusion, spending its final two weeks traversing the Southeast. Of The Trees will make appearances in the Carolinas, Florida, and Virginia before the tour finale in Atlanta on March 1. For all remaining dates and tickets, head over to the ticketing site.
