The 500-acre Nomadic property will host the inaugural Heartbeat Retreat, located an hour east of San Diego in the heart of Jacumba, California. Considered an energy vortex, the Nomadic property is a place that serves to provide transformative experiences where communities can disconnect to reconnect. That’s precisely what Lonely Lovers Records is bringing to the table with Heartbeat Retreat – 24 hours of music from a diverse spread of artists plus a generous variety of activities and experiences.
Heartbeat Retreat boasts a remarkable foundation that sets it apart from other festivals – its unwavering commitment to being a non-profit event. In an inspiring collaboration, Lonely Lovers Recordings, the organizer of the festival, has joined forces with the Jed Foundation, a renowned organization dedicated to preventing suicides in young adults. With a shared vision of creating a positive impact, Heartbeat Retreat has pledged to donate all proceeds from the festival directly to the Jed Foundation.
In addition to its philanthropic mission, Heartbeat Retreat holds a deep appreciation for the artists who will grace its stages. The festival organizers firmly believe in providing a meaningful platform for these talented performers to share their art and connect with the audience. By featuring artists from various genres and backgrounds, Heartbeat Retreat ensures a vibrant, engaging musical experience for all attendees.
In talks with BVRRN and TRYPBOX, they each shared a few things that make Heartbeat Retreat unique compared to other festivals they’ve performed at in the past. TRYPBOX says, “What makes this unique is the atmosphere and how laid back everything seems. It’s more of a ‘retreat’ than anything else. It doesn’t follow the standards that most events do which is what makes it so special.”
BVRRN adds, “This event is unique because it’s a retreat with live music, areas to decompress, meditate, and feel at peace, something I’m sure we all need from time to time with everything going on in our day-to-day lives. The fact that the proceeds are going to a good cause also makes this unique to me. I’m excited to experience this weekend in Jacumba with friends, fans, and people with good energy, and good vibes”. TRYPBOX attests: “When you come to Heartbeat Retreat, not only do you get to see an amazing lineup of artists, but you get an abundance of other experiences to check out.”
When it comes to a festival like Heartbeat Retreat, there are many options that one can choose from when deciding how to take on the festival. For some, they may want to be on their feet the entire time and experience everything they can in the allotted time. For BVRRN, he shared, “I’m excited to unwind and looking forward to hearing sets from Dos Lonely Boys, Not Not, 51Fifty, and of course showcase my own sounds in another B2B with TRYPBOX.”
When asking TRYPBOX for things that they are interested in during Heartbeat Retreat, they replied, “We are definitely interested in trying out the Sound Bath as we’ve had friends recommend it to us before. We’re also curious to check out the acoustic sets that will be going on at the event. As for other artists on the lineup, we’re stoked to check out sets from Dos Lonely Boys, Not Not, 51 Fifty, Sebastian Knight, and Type 3! For the most part, we’re just looking to experience new things and have a good time!”
As the countdown to Heartbeat Retreat continues, the options and opportunities for attendees abound. It is a festival that promises much more than just music – it’s a gathering that invites attendees to reconnect, explore, and discover in a truly remarkable setting. Heartbeat Retreat will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the hearts and souls of all who attend, fostering a sense of unity, well-being, and a deep appreciation for the power of music and human connection.
