The vibes at ILLfest’s 8th anniversary were unmatched! 2026 featured many major upgrades, including on-site afters, new stage designs and locations, as well as numerous smaller improvements that added an intimate, refreshing touch.
Day 1

Each day presented a different vibe; night one was meant to get weird and squishy. The Your Mom’s House artist lineup was from another planet, featuring Steller, Eazybaked, LSDREAM, and the highly anticipated GRIZ. Vibes were wavy and a perfect way to start the weekend. Located inside the exposition center, Your Mom’s House brought massive lasers, a sea of flying balloons, and a sick elevated balcony experience for VIP guests.
Set up a little differently than last year, 2026 brought “The Other Indoor Stage” instead of the 360 outdoor stage from the previous year. This room was intimate and radiated sweaty warehouse vibes. Night one got funky with Austin’s Vincent Antone before Jauz tore the roof off. This was also the stage that hosted the official onsite afters for the late-night ravers.
Nestled in the back beneath a big awning, ILLuminaughty was the only outdoor stage this year. Surrounded by amazing live graffiti art murals and awe-inspiring installations, ILLuminaughty presented a different feel. This is also where the vendor village came to life with cool shops for whatever rave accessories fans could want. I personally secured the comfiest Harem pants from Loose Loosies, as well as an ILLfest basketball jersey.
Day 2

Saturday was for the headbangers! Featuring Cyclops, Ghengar, ATLiens, and Excision, Your Moms House brought plenty of big bass energy for night two. I personally loved ILLuminaughty and the Other Indoor Stage on night two. Maddy O’Neal is always a recipe for a good time, with her confident swagger oozing out to the crowd. Then there was TVBOO. You can’t help but have a good time at a TVBOO set, with weiners flying across the screen and that Mississippi mud flap flying in the wind.
Wreckno at the indoor stage was a big one for me. Weird and sexy, all rolled into one, Wreckno takes you on a journey. Afterward, we snagged some food from the conveniently placed vendor village. Always full of incredible local grub, we were able to try a wide variety of delicious dishes over the weekend.
After the chaos from night two died down, we began to explore the afters. For us, it was all about the unofficial couch installations in the pavilion. The piece had couches scattered about, music blasting, and LED monitors with paintings moving and wiggling amid the black lights. An incredible addition for 2026, for sure!
Day 3

Sunday was a full send on all accounts. Punching through with a heavy-hitting lineup to close out the weekend, there were so many top-tier artists to keep all patrons happy. As the day got started, we entered the pavilion to find ravers with childlike smiles on their faces as they swung at piñatas and candy spilled out to reward their efforts.
Cool Customer was my favorite on day three. I love his glitch-hop East Coast attitude. Seth David and Gardella were a sick B2B as well. Their styles were evenly matched and meshed together very well. The Other Indoor stage blasted off on night three. Hostage Situation into Richard Finger was so dope! Then NIGHTMRE into Crankdat was an immaculate way to bring it home for the weekend.
This year’s ILLfest was definitely elevated in every way possible: a lineup so stacked that it will be talked about for years to come, delicious food to munch on, unique installations that only ILLfest can host, and a sick new layout. I cannot wait to see how they top this in 2027!
