Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Swedish House Mafia Headline GoldenVoice’s New “Head Trip” Festival

Pinch me, I’m tripping! Coachella’s Goldenvoice caught fans by surprise with the announcement of its brand new festival that will feature some of the biggest names in Electronic Dance Music history. Head Trip is set to take place on October 10 and 11 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This gorgeous venue is also home to iconic Goldenvoice festivals Coachella and Stagecoach.

The festival concept highlights artists and promotes unity with only one singular stage on which every artist will perform. This stage powered by Floating Points Sunflower Sound System avoids schedule conflicts fans despise and ensures every performance will be an unforgettable shared experience.

Despite having only being announced two days ago, the Instagram post has already received hundreds of comments and reposts saying “2016 is really happening in 2026” and “The perfect festival lineup doesn’t exi…”

What really strikes fans about this festival is the fact that there are so many world-renowned artists all playing together in one lineup.

Saturday: Day 1

Grammy-winning DJ and record producer Calvin Harris will headline Day 1. Calvin Harris is one of the most successful EDM artists of all time, known for chart-topping hits like “Summer,” and “Feel So Close.” He has also collaborated with iconic pop stars including Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, and Dua Lipa. His ability to mix pop melodies with electronic production has helped his music thrive on both radio charts and festival stages for over a decade. Calvin Harris is the perfect artist to end the night with a high-energy performance.

Day 1 will also feature Under Construction, a performance by Fisher and Chris Lake, two of the biggest house DJs in the world. Both known for their high energy beats and catchy lyrics, Fisher has many festival hits like “Losing It,” while Chris Lake has built a reputation for producing smooth and groovy house tracks that heard on dance floors all around the world.

If that wasn’t enough, the festival will include a very unique B2B set by Peggy Gou and Four Tet. Peggy Gou is known for her stylish house and techno sound whereas Four Tet is famous for his experimental electronic style that blends many elements together, even indie music! These two artists on one stage will surely result in a creative and unpredictable experience that keeps the crowd on its toes.

Sunday: Day 2

The second half of the festival will feature Skrillex, one of the most influential electronic artists of the past decade. He rose to fame in the early 2010s with groundbreaking dubstep tracks like “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.” Growing and expanding his sound, he has since included other elements of electronic music and recently released his new album “FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3*,” which was ironically nominated for a Grammy. Known for a unique and constantly evolving style, Skrillex’s set will likely be one of the most highly anticipated performances of the weekend.

Day 2 also features a highly anticipated B2B set from Dom Dolla and Kettama, who both create high-energy house music with their own touch. Dom Dolla has quickly become one of the biggest names in modern music with hits like “Take It” and “San Frandisco.” Irish DJ Kettama is known for his fast paced house tracks that have become popular in the underground rave scene. Their performance will deliver an exciting, upbeat set that blends their sounds and keeps the crowd dancing from start to finish.

The final day of the festival will conclude with a performance from iconic trio Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso as Swedish House Mafia. They ruled the early 2010s with hits like “One (Your Name),” “Miami 2 Ibiza,” and “Don’t You Worry Child.” The supergroup does not play in the United States often, with their most recent performance being a sold-out warehouse show in San Francisco on New Year’s Eve. Their performances are known for massive production and emotional melodies that the crowd can sing along to, which have defined the EDM festival experience for years.
