Denver bass producer/DJ Lumasi takes his fresh spin on modern dubstep to the masses with his debut headline Sun & Moon Tour. Starting in August and going until Thanksgiving, Phase 1 tickets were released today at the coast-to-coast locations in the ticket link and on the tour flyer below.
The list of locations includes eight festival appearances, getting things started on August 3 at Sound Haven Festival in Tennessee. Lumasi also has a busy stretch in September with Lost Lands, Coconino Campout, and Wakaan in back-to-back weeks, followed by Submersion and Big Fam in early October. Thundercat in Phoenix will host the tour’s first show on August 8 and Cervantes Other Side in his hometown of Denver will host the tour’s last show on November 22.
Lumasi built his following with a viral remix of Flo Rida’s “Low,” and followed that up with his new single “Lower” featuring ProbCause. Now with a solid library of Lumasi flips and remixes, the bass producer has the attention of tastemakers in the bass scene, recently playing at Mission Ballroom in support of Zeds Dead and Zingara.
Later in July, Lumasi will join a stellar lineup at the Brooklyn Mirage for DeadBeats: New York City. This is just the start of a huge second half of the year for the talented artist. ILLENIUM tapped into our collective raw emotions this past weekend with his largest headline shows in Arizona. Ringing in a brand-new era for Relentless Beats at Rawhide Event Center, this event marked a triumphant comeback to the venue and a stellar supporting lineup. Mamba, BONNIE x CLYDE, and CRANKDAT added their own flair to the event. For fans in Phoenix and beyond, Illenium’s return to Rawhide is not just a homecoming, but a reunion of our collective energy under the starlit desert sky.

Fans were anticipating the heat, but not the scorching blaze that fell over the valley Saturday evening. Even with the high temperatures and pyro full-blast, guests didn’t let that ruin the reunion at Rawhide. Our Moon Lvnding booth proved to be the celestial companion providing cooling fans, selling out early in the night with the “Buy One, Get One” fan deal the talk of the town. Fans were happy with the easy layout and vendor variety and thoroughly enjoyed the effortless return to Arizona EDM’s former home.
With its expansive outdoor setting and captivating atmosphere, Rawhide set the stage for a night of musical exploration and collective euphoria. Fans streamed into the venue and were welcomed by the pulsating beats of Mamba, igniting the crowd with dynamic mixes. He set the tone for the night to unfold.

Then Bonnie x Clyde took the stage with their signature blend of melodic bass and emotive vocals. Crankdat came up next, delivering a face-melting set that kept the energy levels soaring. With his mastery of bass drops, Crankdat brought a fresh intensity to Rawhide. Finally, Illenium closed out in style, with spectacular production matching his perfectly executed new mixes. The specially curated show connected with fans, leaving us with bittersweet feelings of happiness and sadness by the end of the night. Legendary dubstep label Circus Records announced their 15-year anniversary show on Monday. The show will take place in none other than the bass capital- Denver, CO. It is scheduled for November 27th at Mission Ballroom. The lineup includes Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, and Funtcase with more to be announced.

Circus Records was founded by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P in 2009. They have helped shape dubstep and bass music into what it is today, and inspired producers like Skrillex, Kayzo, and Hamdi. The label is home to dubstep classics such as “I Can’t Stop,” “Tetris,” and over 500 other releases. Over the years they have also dropped tracks from Funtcase, Cookie Monsta, Zomboy, and many more. In addition to the main label, they created two sub-labels: Funtcase’s DPMO and Circus Electric. DPMO is for more aggressive bass and riddim while Circus Electric is home to melodic and future bass style tracks.

Big news for bass heads, as Tape B is back with a new tour for Fall 2024. Phase 1 of his nationwide tour is set to hit 16 cities, ending with an already soldout show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom. For the other 15 locations, artist and local presale tickets go live tomorrow, June 13, and then the general public sale will begin on Friday, June 14. Over a dozen artists were announced as support for the tour, so check the flyer to see which artists will be playing in your city.
Word to the wise — if you want these tickets, don’t wait! Tape B has sold out every one of his headline shows dating back to December 2023. This span includes all 13 stops on the second phase of his last tour, which concluded with an impressive 3400-ticket sellout at Brooklyn’s premiere nightclub venue, Avant Gardner.

Fan support for Tape B continues to grow, evidenced by the popularity of his Car Tunes mix series. His most recent “Car Tunes Vol. 3” amassed over 1 million streams in just five months! But it’s not just fans taking notice. Subtronics and John Summit, some of the biggest names in the next generation of EDM, have a new single with Tape B that they teased at EDC Las Vegas and will release later this year.
“Trippy Land,” Tape B’s collab with fellow deep bass artist Mersiv and rapper Juicy J officially released about a month ago to widespread support. Tape B and Mersiv debuted the track during their epic b2b during Miami Music Week at the Deadbeats vs. Cyclops Recordings event. A few months later, both Tape B and Mersiv played the song to enormous crowd support during their first-ever EDC Las Vegas sets last month. Lucky for us, they also recently published the video of their MMW b2b!

This past Sunday, June 2, All Day I Dream took over the illustrious Brooklyn Mirage for an ethereal evening filled with vibrant production and transcendent music. What started as a series of Brooklyn rooftop parties in 2011 has blossomed into an international celebration of electronic music with global acclaim under the vision and guidance of its founder, Lee Burridge. The All Day I Dream 2024 World Tour now includes 26 performances in 11 cities around the world!
The recent event at The Brooklyn Mirage was the fifth performance of the tour so far. Previous stops include the season-opening party in Mexico City, followed by Dubai, Los Angeles, and Montreal. All Day I Dream will be in San Francisco this Saturday, June 9, for an afternoon event at Golden Gate Park followed by an after party at The Great Northern.

After San Francisco, All Day I Dream heads to Europe for a show in Barcelona on June 14 before its first of 16 Monday shows at Playa Soleil in Ibiza on June 17. This marks a significant milestone as All Day I Dream introduces a new venue on a new night on an island known for its celebration of dance music. There are also stops planned for London, Toronto, and Denver at its picturesque Sculpture Park on Saturday, August 3. I can attest that All Day I Dream events have a special energy that brings out the love of music and dance from the like-minded “dreamers” at these shows. Here in New York City, The Brooklyn Mirage was transformed into what felt like a tropical paradise, with palms and pastel tapestries all around. The light blue tones harken to the color of water at a sandy beach in paradise or a clear blue sky.
Thoughtfully curated vendors set up shop in the Mirage walkways with stylish clothes and accessories befitting the beautiful vibes of the evening. The gorgeous earrings made of brightly colored feathers caught my eye — they were stunning. This is yet another detail that exemplifies Lee Burridge’s vision of creating special events for us dreamers.

Of course, the melodic house and techno music was the main attraction. The lineup was stacked with talented artists from the All Day I Dream roster. Sinca got the festivities started in style. Double Touch played an inspired set as Nguyen stroked the keyboard while Olsen pounded on the drums. And fefore them, Dim Kelly had the crowd grooving as he dropped some catchy IDs from his upcoming All Day I Dream EP Hominy, scheduled to be released on June 14.

Lee Burridge took over for sunset duties and blessed the crowd with over two hours of tunes as the day faded into night. Finally, Facundo Mohrr closed the evening and capped off an inspiring day of enlightening music and free-spirited dancing.

Last weekend in beautiful mid-May, ravers from around the world met under the Electric Sky once more for an unforgettable weekend presented by Insomniac. EDC Las Vegas 2024 brought epic b2bs, a larger layout, a hidden country stage, and more. The biggest festival in the world welcomed over 525,000 “headliners” over the three days.
Here’s my experience of its production, artists, new stage layouts, and final impressions of the event. Insomniac pulled out all the stops with its production for this year’s show. From an amazing drone show over Kinetic Field and improved stage layouts to all the intricate art and the iconic firework display each night.
Kinetic Field’s main stage production highlighted a cathedral theme of giant organ pipes with pyrotechnics. Rather than a main owl centerpiece, there was a main LED cathedral window and many more side windows showing owl graphics.

Thoughtful Intermezzos, unreal fireworks, an epic drone show, plenty of pyrotechnics, and stellar sound made Kinetic Field exceed its reputation as a cathedral for Insomniac’s Electric Daisy empire. One detail I enjoyed was each cathedral window had an image of Kinetic Field centerpieces from prior years. They brought back fond memories of the tree production of EDC 2016.
Kinetic Field set the stage for some of the weekend’s most iconic moments. Tiesto debuted two new singles, “Hot Honey” and the EDC Las Vegas theme song “My City.” Zedd announced his new album release using drones. John Summit and Green Velvet collaborated to end the weekend in style on main stage.

There were some significant changes to the stage layout in 2024. Quantum Valley and Neon Gardens moved closer to Kinetic Field and transported festivalgoers to a different dimension where they could easily walk between trance, techno, and house sets. Quantum Valley revamped the DJ booth portal with more lasers and a sound setup that made you forget how close it was to Kinetic. Neon Garden was home to huge names like Carl Cox with a larger stage and amazing lights all over the top of the tent.
Circuit Grounds’ signature wraparound steel frame never disappoints. With large LED panels it housed huge names from many genres like John Summit, Excision, and Sara Landry. The main update was creating more depth with the visuals by pushing the DJ booth back and surrounding it with lights.
Basspod got a new home to the right of Electric Avenue and Circuit Grounds, rocking new signature shocks and a lifted DJ booth. Bassheads had much more space to soak up the production and pyrotechnics and because it was further away from the other stages Insomniac could turn up the volume! I could feel the bass through my body at sets like Kai Wachi, Crankdat, and Ghengar.

Wasteland, Stereo Bloom, and Bionic Jungle also moved around a bit. Wasteland moved across the raceway and got smaller by Basspod and Electric Avenue. Bionic Jungle got a bit of an upgrade with space and visuals between Kinetic Field and Cosmic Meadow. Stereo Bloom continued to grow in stature and sound, hosting sets from Noizu and Matroda b2b San Pacho.
Over 230 DJs came from all over the world to bring the magic to the centerpiece of the spring festival season. Subtronics debuted on main stage and played another set with his wife Level Up. Fred Again.. made a surprise appearance at Circuit Grounds Saturday after his buddy Four Tet. Peggy Gou played two sets including a b2b with Marcel. Other impressive b2bs included Carl Cox b2b Nicole Moudaber, Acraze b2b Kream, and Eli Brown b2b Hi-Lo.
But why settle for b2bs when you can have b3bs! Noizu, Westend, and Mele combined to get the weekend going at Cosmic Meadow. There were also megacollabs like Worship, with DnB artists Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock, and 1991, and Hivemind, with heavy bass artists Kayzo, Space Laces, and Must Die!
Downtown EDC featured new installations too. One could listen to Country EDM at the YEEDC stage, “gamble” at the Kandi casino or get unofficially married to your rave bae. There was a dating show called “Up to Date,” a retro stage with throwback music, and walking DJs with giant speakers on their backs and CDJs in front. Insomniac always packs EDC with magical hidden gems to explore when walking between stages or going on a side quest.

The VIP areas were a bit hit or miss based on the stage and set. The two best stages, Kinetic Field and Circuit Grounds, had the best VIP layout. Kinetic Field had gourmet food, barbers/hairdressers, rides, lockers, and a viewing deck. Circuit Grounds’ viewing area had a massive ground-level viewing area with a speakeasy and an arcade!
Neon Gardens and Quantum Valley shared the VIP entrance/exit which was convenient to go between those two stages. Basspod and Cosmic Meadows VIP areas were lacking, especially for some of the crush of crowds for big acts. My biggest suggestion would be to expand the VIP at Basspod’s new location.
There will be more improvements in store for EDC Las Vegas 2025, now on sale for only $5 down! What more can you ask for than this epic celebration of EDM culture with over half a million people over a 3-day weekend filled with unforgettable sights and sounds?! I’m already looking forward to being back under the Electric Sky, will you be there too?

Aside from the main stage, those looking for a more intimate experience can visit the silent disco. DJ Algorythm, DJ Xandé, Lazer Armageddon, Richard Xavier, Webster, and Zawd are among the local and regional artists set to compete for channel attention with their mixes.

Insomniac takes over DC as the Northeast spring festival season heats up with Project Glow this weekend, April 27 + 28. For its third year, The RFK Festival Grounds provides the space for this three-stage event that runs 10 hours from 1pm to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. It’s never too late to send it!
While massive headliners like Illenium, Rezz, Lane 8, Zedd, and Purple Disco Machine command the stages to end the night, two artists caught our attention that will get the party started well before sunset — Blossom and Calussa.

Bass house producer/DJ Blossom plays the Eternal Stage at 3:30pm on Saturday. She is no stranger to Insomniac, releasing her 2019 EP Strapped with Insomniac Music Group (IMG) imprint IN / ROTATION on her way to winning “The Best DJ in Phoenix 2019.” Now relocated to New York City and with releases on heavy-hitting labels like Deadbeats, UKF, and Night Bass, Blossom continues to make bass-forward dance music that resonates with fans worldwide.

Tech house producer/DJ duo Calussa plays the Pulse Stage at 3:45pm on Sunday. Hailing from Miami, Calussa recently debuted with IMG on the release of “Te Recorde,” their collab with Subelo NEO, and there’s more IMG music on the way. Fusing Latin and Afro Tech sounds, Calussa has released with renowned labels like Higher Ground and Defected Records and they’re ready to bring their global house music sound to Project Glow and IMG.

Chris Lake is returning to Brooklyn this summer at an even larger venue than before! With his label, Black Book Records, Lake will take over The Brooklyn Army Terminal on July 19 + 20 for a special, two-day, open-air event. It’s already looking like a NYC summer highlight!

Known for his unique dubstep and hip-hop production, Tape B is on track for a huge 2024. For good reason, he has become one of the most in-demand artists in the bass music scene. His Cartunes mixes have become fan favorites while building a solid repertoire of classic bass remixes and original tunes.
Need proof about the current hype surrounding Tape B? In New York City for the final stop of his Old School x New School Tour on Saturday, April 20, he sold out Kings Hall at Avant Gardner so quickly that his show was rebooked at the venue’s larger Great Hall, Brooklyn’s premier EDM club destination… and he sold that one out too! True to form, no tickets remain for his Beantown show at Middle East in Cambridge, MA tonight, April 19.
On theme, Tape B’s first two merch phases are also completely gone on his website. He’s sold two collections of hoodies, hats, shirts, and pashminas with a sporty basketball jersey too!
