Alright, I’m just going to cut straight to the point here. I’m pretty confident, maybe just hopeful, that EDC Happens in May.. Call it gossip you can call it fake news you can say what you will, but there is some pretty telling breadcrumbs out there and I think that EDC is planning to go down as scheduled. I’m not saying that I have hard evidence, but I found some pretty interesting stuff floating around. Treat this like your run of the mill reddit thread with a bunch of people throwing opinions; this is my opinion on it. Now, I realize I’m probably not the first one to put these pieces together, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit I was thrilled on the chance that EDC actually happens in May.
Exhibit #1: Live Nation Job Postings Call me crazy, but does anyone else find it interesting that Live Nation has a bajillion posts for positions involving EDC? Now, this does seem a little rushed to be hiring all of these for May but bare with me. I have a close friend who has been apart of working EDC as crew in the past, and he mentioned that they usually do this hiring 3 months in advance. However, I’m throwing that out the window because A.) October, which would be the second date option is more than 3 months out, and B.) The latest job that was posted today reads as the following job description. WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
- Must be able to stand on your feet for up to four hours at a time and walk long distances
- Travel required in May
Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.
“Travel required in May” – Could it be nothing? Sure.. but i’m guessing not.

He states that they have spoke to the Governor’s office, and recognizes that there are events in May that need to know what’s happening NOW to make proper preparations.
Exhibit #3: Good ole’ John Summit’s Instagram Story
Lots of questions here. Who texted him? How do they know? Where are they getting their information? Is that person texting John just gathering all of the same information that I threw together here? Did he hear it from an inside source? Who knows – What I do know is that I am pretty damn excited for this to happen. I’m going to speak like it’s happening. MANIFESTATION. But for real, after speaking to some of my peers in the industry, I think we all are on board with May EDC.
