Many have dubbed 2021 as the year of drum n bass here in the United States. I am absolutely one of those people.
Arizona-based producer Yewz delivers an incredible drum n bass tune with “Go.” Deviating from his wobbly dubstep sound, “Go” displays incredibly crisp percussion and subliminal bass that delivers an incredible groove.
The track begins with an ominous, faint melody coupled with an alarm-like horn sound. The percussion then comes in and begins to build, leading to a quick drop showcasing incredible percussive prowess and a powerful bassline. The alarm-like horn sound persists from the intro, giving the record a sense of urgency.
Yewz also made the album art himself, as he dabbles in creating visual art as well as auditory art. After the release of his Stank Face EP, “Go,” “Picking Up The Pieces” with INF1N1TE, and “Money,” Yewz is off to an incredible start this calendar year. These tunes showcase his producing chops and versatility, releasing songs across a wide range of genres and styles.
