Coming up fast on the scene, Bay Area producer SHDWS is stepping it up with the next single on Wax Motif‘s Divided Souls imprint with “Vixen.” Supported by some of my favorite artists like AC Slater and Malaa, SHDWS is delivering a fierce bass house tune this New Music Friday! He has been stepping into the spotlight with a steady output that has seen him grow into one of the gems of the Night Bass crew.
I’m starting to really love this Divided Souls label as it’s putting out some of my favorite new music week after week with Wax Motif’s stamp of approval. Described as a dark and self-assured number that moves with all of confidence in the world, SHDWS does not disappoint with this tune. The origins of this track actually stemmed from one of SHDWS live-stream production streams on his Twitch page!
The track starts off with a subtle high hat kick until an overtaking bassline brings us into the drop. We can really hear the Night Bass influence in this track as the iconic horn sound is mixed with a nasty ghostly ring.
