Rossy and Bafu Get Emotional On Their Welcome Records Debut “Eternity”

Article by: Jessica Duncan

Over the last two years, Rossy has been making a name for herself in the bass music world with support from some of its heavy hitters including Zeds Dead and RL Grime. She brings her ethereal take on trap to Welcome Records with “Eternity,” a collab with wave producer Bafu. Bafu has been rising in the wave scene for the last few years, with releases on Lowly, The Wave Stage, and Interval Audio.

Rossy and Bafu come together to find the perfect combination of their sounds on “Eternity.” A somber piano melody kicks off the track before a siren, a breakbeat snare pattern, and layered synth arpeggios swell to an emotional climax. The bassline takes a backseat in the mix, but it really helps to drive home the sense of longing. The sparing use of the kick drum makes each hit that much more impactful. “Eternity” sounds much more personal than anything Rossy or Bafu have put out before and really captures the feeling of the lyrics “I’m so glad I found you” that are placed throughout the song.

If you’ll be at either Audiotistic this weekend, be sure to get there early to catch Rossy’s set. Continue to follow Rossy and Bafu as they rise through dance music using the links below. Keep up with all the new music dropping today on Moon Lvnding’s New Music Friday Heat playlist on Spotify.
