Leotrix, one of the most exciting names in bass music, is back in a big way with his latest EP Honesty Trax, out now on NIGHT MODE Records. Leotrix rose into the spotlight through incredible dubstep production and electrifying live shows. Bassheads mostly know the Australian-born DJ through his most popular track, “Hive Bounce.”
The first track off the EP is “Brief Grip of Creation,” in which Leotrix expands his production talents to compose a brilliant bass house song. The track is catchy and upbeat, with video game-sounding synths and sharp bass. Its abundant energy perfectly sets the tone for a fun summer of shows returning.
Next up is “This Track Vs My Laptop Fan,” an absolute banger and more of what the listener would expect from a bass god such as Leotrix. The song has similar sounds, with video game-like lasers and cuts. Its deep bassline is layered with sharp dubstep sounds that create a bouncy but heavy feel.
