Lil Texas Collabs Overseas on “Dreaming”

Article by: Sam Wolloch

A leading purveyor of American hardcore, Lil Texas brings his latest big BPM banger “Dreaming” to Insomniac Music Group’s Basscon Records. He teams his trademark Texcore sound with Danny L Harle and his brand of London-based Harlecore for an inspired new anthem appealing to hardstylers far and wide.

The renown and in demand UK composer Danny L Harle’s contribution hits immediately, as the song’s dreamy vocals float in ahead of the impending booming bassline. It feels like something out of the early 2000s with its fairytale feel, but then cackling laughs presage the explosive Texcore pace when the drums finally drop.

The two hardstyle producers really play to each other’s strengths on “Dreaming,” and Harle shared an anecdote of their collaboration when they met up at his London studio. “I’ll do the euphoric build and you do the drop,” Harle recalled. “He was like ‘hell yeah’ and that was it. I love how the track is basically a musical B2B at first but then my synth line combines with his big boy kicks at the end in a beautiful finale.”

Not only is Lil Texas dropping this spicy new collab for #NewMusicFriday, but he recently assembled his own imprint with Insomniac through Basscon, and Saturday August 22 he is hosting his curated Freakshow livestream with artists Gravedgr, Deadly Guns, GPF, Roller, and Geo at 8pm PT.
