Dutch bass house producer, Kriss Reeve is laying it down for the shufflers with his peppery independent release, “Rave Thing!” Robbert Vellekoop, better known as Kriss Reeve, is an up-and-coming producer introducing us to his flashy tunes hitting on a variety of genres.
Given the current state of the world, many of us are yearning to feel alive with festivals once again, which Robbert says was the inspiration for this track. He explained, “labels are not sure how to sell club music and DJ’s can’t support their favorite club songs at the moment. That doesn’t mean that no one wants to listen to a big festival/rave song.”
Kriss Reeve has produced under several different names, but in 2017 he made the decision to go full-time under his newly adopted alias. His first release, a remix of Dua Lipa’s song “Last Dance” made a strong entrance into the international music scene hitting over one million views. The producer is on his way up in the dance music community having played some of the Netherlands most renowned venues and is starting to get bookings for international gigs. His biggest highlight thus far came when his track “Volcano” was chosen as the #1 song release of the week by the Dutch Top 40 in mid September of 2018.
“Rave Thing” is one for the shufflers as the build up comes very early in the song and the drop brings the horns and bass that drive the mood of this number.
Ravers everywhere will find that they can all relate to the words in this song, because, well, it’s a “Rave Thing.” The lyrics, “you hella thirsty, go get some water,” is one that I think all of us can relate to if we think back to those good ol’ festival days.
