Getting A Case Of The Funt With FuntCase's Corruption EP

Get ready for mind melting music as FuntCase comes in HOT with his new four-song EP, Corruption. This EP is the debut of his new label, DPMO, which showcases collabs from FuntCase’s handpicked artists: Versa, Yakz, Jkyl & Hyde, and Stoned LeveL.

Corruption does not hesitate to make the listener want to get down and dirty, as FuntCase and Versa throw straight into the dirty dubstep we all love. “Kill Confirmed” is like a welcome explosion to the face, as it wastes no time sending in all the womps. The song gives a short break, but that’s just to go easy on you. As if you didn’t think it was possible, the second drop gets even dirtier.

Next up, is the song by FuntCase and Yakz bringing the british rap heat from none other than Rival. “Bodying” brings out the riddim with the grungy wubs flying at a mid-tempo speed that somehow feels like 100mph. But don’t worry, the EP is not over just yet.

Jkyl & Hyde have a nice treat on their song Transmission, as they take the listener to space without drifting too far out. The three artists pull floating earbuds back in for the classic FuntCase sound, throwing down all the devilish womps. It’s as if they said, “FuntCase, but make it extraterrestrial.”

Lastly, on this godly EP, is FuntCase and Stoned LeveL with their song “Wolfpack.” This track welcomes all to the pit of dubstep, continuing to make this EP so dirty in the best way. All that comes to mind is the circle forming and the feeling of anticipation for the next set of filthy and grindy riddim sounds as everyone rushes in to give aggressive hugs.

The announcement of FuntCase’s new label DPMO is exciting, and is sure to bring out more hardcore dubstep to fill his listener’s hearts. With the head honcho’s new EP as well as a compilation volume and fresh merch, DPMO is prepared to continue a strong legacy of UK dubstep into the future.
