Dual Damage is relatively new to the Hard Dance scene, but they have quickly become rising Rawstyle stars. The Dutch duo, consisting of longtime friends Thijs and Jesper, started releasing tracks in 2023, landed singles on Scantraxx and Gearbox, and played to crowds at well-known Hard Dance festivals like Rebirth and Intents. They have also recently signed with Limitless Agency for bookings. Their latest track, “Unbreakable,” featuring MC Activate, is out now on their imprint, Ravage Records.
According to their bio, Dual Damage combines “heavy kicks with energetic breaks and uplifting melodies.” This is absolutely true in “Unbreakable.” MC Activate starts off the track by stating, “We will never break!” During the verse, there is an almost Drum and Bass sounding drum break until the booming kick, laser stabs, and screeches come in. Dual Damage’s signature PVC kick, which is exactly what it sounds like, takes over along with euphoric synths. The second drop switches up the kick sound multiple times and features plenty of kick rolls, both of which are core elements of the Xtra Rawstyle genre of music Dual Damage creates. The final drop allows the bassline and synths to close out the track on a more uplifting note.
