Brace for Impact as Chef Boyarbeatz Drops “Flight Malfunction/Crash Landing”
Article by: Ryan Hood
Our favorite chef is cooking with gas, as Chef Boyarbeatz unveils his delectable new single “Flight Malfunction/Crash Landing.” This track takes the listener on a journey of intergalactic proportions, using various science fiction-style sound effects to tell his story.
“Flight Malfunction/Crash Landing” begins with an ominous background alarm, filling an otherwise empty void at the beginning of the track. Percussion breaks take over as the song builds. The drop masterfully employs negative auditory space and sub-bass that gives the track a groovy and minimalistic feel. As the listener comes crashing down through the atmosphere, Chef Boyarbeatz’s signature 140 sound takes over. He employs a deep bassline and an array of dub sirens sure to send dancefloors and festival crowds into a frenzy.
Chef Boyarbeatz is one of the premier underground 140 talents to watch this year. He will be gracing the stage at Moonlight Mirage in the California desert in April, and we are excited to see what else is in store for 2022.
