Jack Murphy and Brady Perrigo compose the emerging electro-rock group ANIMÁL. Ready to take its first leap into the world of electronic music production, the duo recently released its second single, “A Place In The Sun,” from Flight, its upcoming debut LP.
Currently based in Brooklyn, New York, ANIMÁL represents the unique sound Jack and Brady created to fill a void in the vast music universe. Conceiving a signature blend of alternative rock and electronic music, they are heavily inspired by works from myriad genres spanning hip-hop, jam bands, and electronic music. Sharing their work for the first time with Flight, “A Place In The Sun” serves as a sneak peek as to what to expect from ANIMÁL in the future.
“A Place In The Sun” starts out smoothly, as they expertly piece together electric guitar riffs, textured synthesizers, smooth piano melodies, and zen vocal samples for a soothing vibe. Going into the drop, the reverb is turned up a smidge and they pack in a bit more distortion on the synthesizers, adding a bit more heat to the track. Overall, the sound elements of both alternative rock and electronic music mesh together perfectly to showcase ANIMÁL’s developing sound.
ANIMÁL utilizes its skill and ability of playing various instruments to establish an authentic and interactive live music experience, so be sure to keep an eye out for the release of ANIMÁL’s debut LP, Flight, in the near future.
