Subtronics sent shockwaves through the dubstep community yesterday after announcing that the second part of his two-part album FIBONACCI PT 2: INFINITY will be released on December 5th.
Five months ago, dubstep mastermind Subtronics released FIBONACCI PT 1: OBLIVION. The 8-track project was a breath of fresh air, combining the ethereal sound design that dominated his previous release, TESSERACT, with the heavy drops and chaotic basslines that have shaped his sound over the years. The project showed Subtronics at his most experimental yet, combining cinematic elements with deep layering that stood out with tracks like “MOTHCLAWS.”

In the months following part one’s release, Subtronics hasn’t missed a beat, keeping fans entertained with a string of singles that showcase his playful creativity. “Dingus,” and “Itchy Scratchy” have been goofy and fun, yet technical dubstep tracks.
