ORBIT Artist Spotlight: Kyle Walker

Spotlight by: Trevor Di Carlo

With a wavy urban flair and an engaging nostalgic feel, it is clear the Los Angeles based producer Kyle Walker loves two things: turtlenecks and house music. After winning the Insomniac Discovery Project in 2016 with his submission “Claude VonDeeper,” Kyle Walker quickly built his reputation as a producer and festival artist, testing the depth of deep house beats.

Kyle Walker has worked with a bunch of notable record labels with saucy singles “Bricks” and “Infection” on Jaws’ imprint Bite This!, another with “Movement” on Steve Akoi’s Dim Mak, and the Cruel Intentions EP for Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION.

Kyle Walker succeeds in making house music you can groove to in the car and dance to in the club. With plenty of festival experience including Nocturnal Wonderland and North Coast Music Festival this past festival season and this sweet set at EDC Las Vegas in 2017, he is sure to bring the party atmosphere to all the fans streaming at home.

A deeper look at Kyle Walker’s library revealed some true gems, like his classic that samples “I don’t eat at McDonald’s cos they don’t got avocados.” And who can’t appreciate the sentiment from this recent gram, as we all look forward to the day when we can get back to seeing shows at our favorite venues.

Having been supported by some of the biggest labels in the industry, 2020 is sure to be a big year for Kyle Walker. Be sure to catch his set on our upcoming ORBIT Virtual Experience Benefiting Feeding America set to blast #inORBIT May 8.
