Manifesting Dance Music And Rooftop Fireworks

For last week’s 4th of July holiday, we celebrated the best EDM in New York City in all the right ways. Moon Lvnding attended two brilliantly executed events from local brands spanning the dichotomy of NYC nightlife: glitzy rooftop house music and gritty warehouse bass music.

For starters, we vibed with Carlita hosted by the social club GOSPËL and Westlight, the swanky space atop The William Vale Hotel, for one of the best fireworks views in Brooklyn. To finish, we danced with Smoakland and SuperAve. at Manifest, the biggest party of the year from Synchro Events and EDM social media app Radiate, at the sprawling Brooklyn venue, 3 Dollar Bill.

On the 22nd and 23rd floors, Westlight’s 2-day celebration featured two floors of DJs and viewing areas to enjoy the music and city views. Gospёl hosted the picturesque rooftop event, bringing its sense of community and connection through music.

Amémé starred on the 3rd and Carlita returned for another year with Gospёl for 4th of July festivities. She stole the show with her international flair. We heard people singing along to her set in multiple different languages. It’s no wonder why Carlita comes back year after year to amaze the eager crowds of the city.

Then the quintessential rooftop memory, as fireworks from the Hudson River shot into view over Manhattan’s skyline with Carlita’s smooth tunes blasting in the background. We scored a few spots along the rail with our hosts from Sequel Sound to snag a picture of the moment.

After Carlita wrapped up her set, we jetted across Williamsburg for the 4th annual Manifest. A joint production of Syncho Events and Radiate, the multi-genre fest took over the indoor/outdoor space of 3 Dollar Bill for an epic event. Hosting three stages and a handful of local vendors selling goods, crafts, and merchandise, Synchro Events held its best Manifest yet!

The main stage had the bass bumping all night long on impressive dual stacks of 12-foot speakers. Manifest showcased the wealth of flow artists in New York City with performers taking turns on stage while SuperAve. and Smoakland dropped the bass. VKTM closed out our night with fresh riddim to keep the crowd moving.

Synchro Events does an impressive job of creating shows to cater to New York’s underground scene and Manifest serves as its biggest celebration of the year. We caught up with friends from all over the metro area to revel in EDM wonderland for the 4th of July.
